Yes, I expect it will be fantastic. John Brazaitis is one of Reclaiming's presenters at this year's Australian Reclaiming Community WitchCamp (our first of hopefully yearly events). He is a well known story teller and has been teaching at WitchCamps for over 15 years. He is also a beekeeper and for all the worlds, actually looks like a bard, beard and all.

I agree what is there to be upset about - maybe it is the power in the art that
is so unsettling, for myself I LIKE IT

Wear this censorship like a badge of distinction, Minka!

This could be just what you need! Controvery has ALWAYS raised the profile of the artist who has produced the censored work - think of Rosaleen Norton, Norman Lindsay, Bill Henson, etc. You could perhaps tout this piece as your 'signature' work now that it's been 'approved' by a bunch of wowsers - it's certainly very MEMORABLE, icon-like, sharp, well executed and interestingly conceived. It says something quite powerful and that's why they couldn't handle it. Their own psychology is so fucked up.

The Australian public is generally quite awesome and loves good art, sexy or raw imagery, and fantasy, it's just a few silly wowsers who ruin everyone else's fun. They are the minority.

I've been in churches in Italy that exhibit very much more shockingly violent/explicitly erotic images in fresco, painted at the entrance, centuries ago.

This is a really great image, very impressive! Thanks for sharing it.
