Singing my song, whistling a tune.. asking the fairies to show me the
way ... I roam the green grass filled with patches of clover in search
of those with leaves of 4. Each one I find I thank my wee little
friends and search on for yet another. I gather those with leaves half
chewed... leaves large, medium and small... I gather them all.

I stopped for a moment and smiled when this little one came into sight.

This one is a fully grown 3 leaf clover who has begun to grown 1 more.
Unafraid to change, not trying to fit in with the others... this
clover wants to be something more. So with all it's might it digs down
deep within the soil and gathers the strength and ability to make that
change happen. This clover is now something quite different...
something fabulously more!

Another of our great Pagans has passed over. Grey Cat, from Tennessee, who was very instrumental in getting more people involved with Crone awareness. I first got in contact with her when she published "The Crone Papers."

Grey Cat was told that she had less than a year to live last November. She let all of know and we all made our peace with her and wished her well on her path. Her last post was made on March 8th, where she said that "the oddest thing about knowing you're about to die is that there is so little to say about it."

Grey Cat was the author of "Deepening Witchcraft: Advancing Skills & Knowledge", and a contributor to several other books, including "Exploring the Pagan Path: Wisdom From the Elders," and the Chas Clifton-edited "Witchcraft Today" series. Grey Cat served as the editor of The Crone Papers for four years, and had held leadership positions within the Covenant of the Goddess and Ar n'Draiocht Fein. Grey Cat founded the NorthWind Tradition of American Witchcraft, and was an elder is several other American Witchcraft traditions.

Megalesia (Rome)

About the Carmenae: This group of goddesses correspond to the Muses of Greek tradition:
they know our past, see what's in store in the future, foretell
children's fates, and teach us the effective use of "letters" (the
alphabet), the arts, and how to tell fortunes. They also oversee
midwives.

To Do Today: Megalesia celebrates the accuracy of the Sibylline oracles, who
predicted the way for the Roman victory in the Punic war. Romans
traditionally honored the goddess today with music and song, so put on
some magical tunes! The Carmenae will saturate the music and uplift
your spirit.

Ask the Carmenae to help you write personalized invocations or spells
today. Put pen to pad and let these goddesses inspire sacred words
suited to your path and needs. Keep these in a magic journal for future use.

The Roman oracles often drew lots to determine a querent's answer. If you
have a question weighing heavily on your heart today, follow this custom and take out some variegated beans. Hold them. Concentrate on the
question, then pick out one bean. A black one means "no"; white means
"yes". Red means that anger is driving action, brown means things are
muddled, and green indicates growth potential. If you don't have beans, colored buttons are a suitable alternative.

It is in our wild natures that we find the truest happiness. Within each
of us is an untamed and unmapped land, a place of power and solitude. In the busyness of our daily lives, this wilderness is forgotten. We fill
our moments with the demands of the mundane world. Yet however
successful we are, we yearn for something more, something different, We
yearn to feel the power of goddesses crashing through us, beating in our veins.

It is in music and dance that we most vividly feel the movement of the
goddess energy within us. When we do not dance, we fall away from direct experience of her. Watch the flight of birds, the free gallop of the
horse, the slow fierce movement of a cat. Animals, even the wildest of
them, do not neglect to play. Not every swoop of a gull is an effort to find food; some is for the sheer joy of swooping. Why should we be
different? We need dance, we need play, as much as does the eagle or the hawk. Within the wildness of our moving bodies, we will find the joy
within our souls.

Description: Just a wee reminder that the first Full Moon Gathering to be
held in the beautiful Adelaide Botanic Park will be taking place this coming
Saturday, 7 April 2012 ... so if you want to hang out under the luna rays,
then we will be meeting under the pines (second carpark off Hackney Road)
from about 7.30pm .. moving into the park around 7.45pm to set up with the
ritual starting around 8.00pm for 45 minutes. This is an open to all and
free event provided by the Temple of the Dark Moon. I hope you can join us.
