You can get into more esoteric, deeper studying of a particular favorite niche or combining religions/practices to fit your own personal needs.

That's what I do. That's why I'm a Christo-Pagan. And I have just found out the philosophy of Spiritism (actually, it's a blend of philosophy, religion and science) that fits VERY WELL into my Christo-Pagan beliefs.

I also discovered Enohian language which is said to be the language of spirits/angels, so as I do divination, I have my Enohcian dictionary on hand and is studying that.

There are MANY branches to go on for continuing education. The craft is vast!

Never stop searching and studying and learning. :)

There's other psychics other than the television star Chip Coffey that are just
as reputable.

Subject: [Witch_Essentials] Please help!!!

Can anyone help me find someone who can help find a missing person?? I don't
know how to direct my abilities properly for such a thing. I have been able to
find things in my house, and in other people's houses, and even my lost cat by
asking for guidance. But I don't know how that works.

There is a missing young woman in Poland, My friend grew up near her home. She
says everyone in her town is looking for her. Her brother put up a web page in
Facebook to try to get help in finding her.

I love Chip Coffey and I think he could help, but he seems so unavailable. This
is so sad and terrible, I want to help. I could also appreciate help if you
just guide me on how to find the answers I seek. I could try myself.

I am a newbie, I am psychic but I feel so helpless right now.

Can I post the web site here? Thanks!!!

She is in the house, she turns on the TV and sometimes you can hear footsteps wt night. The kids just say "oh it's grandma, it's ok". when we used the board we asked if she was there. We talked to two other spirits, then her. (Or supposedly her) but she said she didn't want to talk, because there was nothing to say, so we left her alone.

LIBER ISRAFEL

THE INVOCATION OF THOTH

OPEN EVENT: 12:00 PM (NOON)

Liber Israfel is sometimes simply regarded as an invocation of Tahuti. Yet the introduction to the ritual text itself states that 'This book was formerly called Anubis, and is referred to the 20th key, "The Angel".' According to Gustav Davidson's 'Dictionary of Angels' Israfel 'the burning one' is the Arabic angel of Resurrection and Song who will blow the trumpet on Judgement Day.

As Thelemites we believe this day of Judgement came at the advent of the Aeon of Ra-Hoor Kuit, which is symbolically depicted in Atu XX, the Aeon. Israfel does not herald the end of the world to a Thelemite, rather this angel reveals the coming of a new Order.

In modern times this ritual can appropriately be used to bring about revelation and enlightenment. From the viewpoint of the Kabbala, this ritual is suited to raise the energy of Malkuth up to Hod, and from there, Tahuti guides the seekers on to Tiphareth. Once centered on the Tree of Life the individual is prepared to receive knowledge from beyond the veil, from Kether itself.

Please join Tahuti Lodge at Noon on Sunday July10th as we endeavour to invoke our namesake and seek divine gnosis.

On the day of the Sun, in the hour of Mercury, as the sun ascends in the last stages of its climb to its daily zenith, we shall seek revelation.

"I am the Charioteer of the East, Lord of the Past and of the Future. I see by mine own inward light: Lord of Resurrection; Who cometh forth from the Dusk, and my birth is from the House of Death." ~Liber Israfel

GAIA:

Hello Angel --

Like good books, good teachers can be somewhat difficult to find and
sort out from the others that are not-so-good or even poor --

There are many "witch schools" online that are *not* considered very
good resources, for a variety of reasons --

For example, anybody who offers to teach under age 18 folks, should be
avoided since there are legal and ethical issues involved; and any group
or person who offers Initiation to First Degree (let alone to the Higher
Degrees) with no in-person work, only written or online material --
should be viewed with concern.

Here are a few articles that i think might help in explaining why
choosing good teachers and Covens is important, how to find and judge
good ones from the others, etc --

Please also note that i teach an (email, self-paced) Wicca 101 Class; if
you'd like more info on that, just email me ( Gaia_d@yahoo.com
<mailto:Gaia_d@yahoo.com> ), ok?

House Plant Charm

Posted by: "Lady Nightshayde" LadyNightshayde9@aol.com   nightshayde99

Thu Jun 30, 2011 12:25 am (PDT)

House Plant Charm

Hold your hands above the plant. Imagine a bright green and vibrant light swirling around it then into the plant. Visualize the plant growing and blooming (if applicable) luxuriously. Repeat the charm three times:

"The magick of nature is in everything,
Lavish growth and good health to this plant I now bring.
This green magick spell intends no harm or trouble,
It only brings pleasure and joy on the double!"

Close the charm with:

"For the good of all and harm to none,
By green leaf and stem, this spell is done!"

Blessed Be,

The light of a hundred stars cannot equal the light of the Moon.

Love Each Day,
Lady Nightshayde

Zodiac Fashion Sense
This article was written by Maria Shaw
posted under Astrology

Each zodiac sign has a style all its own. It's pretty easy for a good astrologer to guess what sign someone was born under by the styles and color of the clothes they wear. Years ago, a woman dressed in a classy black suit walked into my office for a reading. She also wore a pair of sexy black pumps, and a silk camisole underneath her tailored jacket. Before she sat down, I asked her, "Are you a Scorpio?" "Why, yes! she replied, amazed that I would know that. "How did you know?" Scorpios usually wear black and something a little revealing, too. Even though this woman was definitely "all business" as far as her demeanor, her Scorpio sun sign was evident in her fashion sense.

Sometimes people will choose a style of dress that represents their rising sign (ascendant). For instance, even though I am a Cancer sun sign and "supposed" to wear pastels and silver, I usually dress like my Scorpio rising sign, lots of black suits, dresses and lacy tops. Here's a list of the twelve zodiac signs and what you're most likely to see hanging in their closets.

Aries - They love the color red. They also like to wear the latest fashions and don't mind standing out in a crowd. However, Rams are also successful in the business world, so you will also find them in classic, power suits; dressed impeccably. Look for the red tie as a dead giveaway or a bright colored bag or shirt. Because the part of the body that Aries rules is the "head", many wear stylish hats, scarves and barrettes. If an Aries man goes bald, he usually opts to shave his head rather than do a "comb-over."

Taurus – These folks love clothing that is comfortable. Linen suits and dresses are favorites. Soft cottons and silky fabrics that are pleasing to the touch are favored. Bulls seldom go for the latest fads. They like high quality items but want to get them on sale. Discount designer stores are their passion. Neutral colors and earth tones are the best for a Taurus because he is an earth sign. The area of the body that Taurus represents is the neck and throat so many Bulls wear gold chains, necklaces, nice neck ties and scarves.

Gemini – Anything goes here! Gemini's dual personality favors all kinds of looks and styles. Gemini's closets is brimming with outfits for every occasion. They love color and funky styles that are youth oriented. Gemini enjoy wearing a worn pair of sexy blue jeans with a tank top just as much as they love to dress up in a velvet evening gown or black tie tux. The part of the body that Gemini rules are the hands so, bangle bracelets and pretty rings are some of their cherished accessories. Gemini also have a weakness for purses.

Cancer – Pretty, soft, feminine, vintage...these words describe some of the outfits you may find hanging in a Cancer woman's closet. Cancer men hang onto the clothes they love and wear them out... or forever. That ratty old T-shirt from a Bon Jovi concert is a prized keepsake because it holds sentimental value for a Crab. Cancer like soft colors, especially white and shimmery pastels. In regard to their jewelry, they usually prefer silver and pearls. Both men and women crabs love soft, cozy fabrics like flannel, velour and terry cloth.

Leo – Leo the Lion loves luxurious things. They usually have huge closets filled with lovely and expensive outfits or those that at least look expensive. They own big, oversized jewelry boxes too. Glittery, sequined shirts, skirts and dresses, bold colors, satins and silks are staples in the Leo's wardrobe. They also like animal prints. Lions look for designer labels. Their favorite colors are red and gold. They are attracted to clothing that helps them "stand out" and is dramatic in some way. Jewelry, especially gold, is always a must-have" for a Leo.

Virgo – Virgo always has a "put together" look. These folks pay a lot of attention to detail so they always look neat and polished, even when they're wearing something very casual. They like the color blue and will often wear tailored, conservative outfits. Virgos are picky about the clothes they wear. They don't like anything too flashy, too tight or fashion fads that go out of style quickly. Virgo appreciates a good bargain and can spot a sale a mile away. Usually, their clothing and accessories are perfectly matched.

Libra – Libra loves clothes! They are very fashion-conscious and always strive to look their best. Since Libra is such a romantic sign, many women opt for lacy shirts and skirts, pretty floral, feminine dresses and lots of jewelry. The Libra man always looks good in casual or evening wear. His suits are tailored to perfection. His pastel shirts match his silk ties. Both sexes love perfume and cologne and probably wear a signature scent everyday. These are not "gaudy, flashy" dressers but people who's wardrobe gets them noticed because it has real style.

Scorpio – Sexy is a Scorpio word. Even though a Scorpio in a pair of polyester pants and a T-shirt doesn't appear seductive....think again. You really don't know what they are wearing underneath those frumpy clothes, now do you? Many Scorpio opt not to wear underwear but those girls that do, report lacy bras and thongs as their favorites. The men may wear silk boxers. This sign loves anything black but you'll also find they wear a lot o purple and burgundy too. They like to leave "something to the imagination" when they dress up but still opt for clothing that entices. Sexy high heels and thigh high boots are favorite footwear for Scorpio women. Oh, and don't forget those dark sunglasses that help them look so mysterious.

Sagittarius – Sag are freedom lovers so they look for clothing that is comfortable and sporty. They love faded jeans and sweatshirts, oversized T-shirts and jackets. You'll find Sagittarius own more than one pair of tennis shoes. Their look is fresh and casual. Purple is their color so you'll find many Archer women love lilac, orchid and periwinkle hues. The guys often wear jackets or sweat shirts advertising their favorite sports teams. They also love flannel shorts, hunting vests and leather jackets.

Capricorn – Goats are very serious about their wardrobe. They look for good quality clothing and often designer labels. They usually wear tailored clothing, suits and well fitted pieces. Gray, brown, tans, some blue and khaki are traditional Capricorn colors. They enjoy attention getting outfits but not the flashy fashions. Their briefcases and purses are status symbols and often will spend quite a bit of money for wallets and bags. They prefer comfortable, luxurious style clothing and would never think of going out in a pair of sweatpants unless they were a designer brand. Goats do not like rhinestones and glitz. Understated elegance is the way I would describe the Cappy's style.

Aquarius – They're the first to find it, wear it and probably create it too --- their own sense of style is important. Aquarius are first to sport the latest fashion fads. They don't care if the fringe jacket will be out of style next season. They'll buy it and probably continue to wear it until it comes back in style again! 60's and 70's clothing is a favorite too. They mix and match everything and break all fashion rules. Aquarius like to be different and don't mind being called quirky or unusual. They think whatever they wear is "cool" and a statement as to who they really are.

Pisces – Pisces rules the feet and therefore many Fish absolutely adore shoes. Pisces of both sexes tend to have a closet full of shoes. Fish are the daydreamers of the zodiacs so the women look for romantic fashions; chiffons and shimmering materials. Many prefer to wear skirts and dresses over pantsuits. Pisces guys like comfortable outfits rather than suits. Their color is greenish blue so you will find sea foam green and sea blue hues in their wardrobe. They adore jewelry and often wear too much at one time, adorning themselves with gold, silver and precious gemstones.

7 Interesting Facts About The History Of Astrology

By Cucan Pemo

Ever since humans looked toward the sky for some kind of meaning to life and answers to the big questions, astrology has been a part of many people's lives. The fact that essentially every culture has, at different times, looked towards the stars for understanding speaks to the universal nature of astrology.

As it evolved from one end of the globe to the other, it took on a different significance and gravity. Some cultures used it to determine laws and punishments, others for love and spirituality. The growth of astrology is marked with peace, war, abundance and famine. Human history can be charted with the history of astrology. Here are a few interesting facts about the history of astrology.

The origin of astrology is thought to begin with the ancient Babylonians two centuries before the birth of Christ. They took celestial events that were witnessed in the night sky and interpreted them to signify certain events. Major events like a passing comet, a meteor shower or an eclipse were given extreme importance and they often believed that significant actions were needed to calm the anger of the gods. Human sacrifice wasn't unheard of in some situations to deal with what the Babylonians thought were upset deities.

The first areas of the world that astrology spread to were China, India and Greece. Each culture infused the basic Babylonian astrological belief structure with its own myths, legends and interpretations. In Greece, many of the characters from ancient Greek mythology were combined with the stars to give their astrology its own local style. The same was true for India and China where local religion and superstition was combined with astrology to give it more meaning to the local population.

Astrologers were some of the first scientists in medieval Europe. It was astrologers that made the first accurate maps of star movement as well as the orbit of the moon and many astronomical observations about the Earth, itself. Many scientists today look down upon astrology as being a pseudo-science, but without the tireless work and immaculate record keeping of astrologers hundreds of years ago, the more respected science of astronomy would have been set back by centuries.

Not only were some of the first scientists astrologers, some of the most respected scientific minds in human history were practicing astrologers. Historic names such as Kepler, Jung, Galileo, Copernicus and Brahe were all significant contributors to astrology during their time as scientists. Even with the marginalization of astrology that was ongoing even in the time that these famous figures were alive, they managed to practice and further the belief in astrology, along with their better known scientific practices.

Astrology has had a significant impact on modern language. Many different words that are commonly used today have a root in astrological thinking of the past. For instance, influenza comes from the Latin for influence and was so named due to the belief that many sicknesses are caused by the influence of planets and heavenly bodies in the sky. The word disaster originates from the Latin for bad star. And maybe the best known word origin from astrology is lunatic, from the root luna, meaning moon.

Astrology has had an impact on modern literature, as well. Many writers, including all time greats like Shakespeare and Chaucer used astrological and planetary explanations for their characters behavior. Such references have become a part of modern society. The idea that a full moon still influences people's behavior is just as common today as it was 500 years ago.

Education and astrology have had an intertwined past. In Europe, during the medieval period, a university quality education was divided up into seven separate categories, one for each known planet. These disciplines became known as the liberal arts; a term still used today on many college campuses. These arts evolved into the modern sciences, but their roots are firmly planted in the field of astrology.

Astrology has existed in one form or another in almost every culture on earth since the beginning of time. When humans had nothing else, they had the night sky, crystalline, pulsing and always changing. It was inevitable that cultures would begin to assign patters and meaning to the night sky since so much of life depended on rain, sun and the crops that they helped to grow.

Just like any other belief system, there have been dark times when blood flowed and anarchy reigned due to an interpretation from above, but the true heart of astrology is still based on the desire for human understanding that is influenced by heavenly bodies. While many modern scientists belittle astrology and its beliefs, there will always be a group that understands the significance of the planets and stars.
