Hi and Merry Meet -
I'd like to begin by saying how sorry i am about how difficult things
are for you and your family right now. I do have some "ideas', but i
think they may be difficult for you to hear and seriously consider.
People often look to the quick, easy explanation that they must be
"cursed" when they have a run of bad luck, or things just seem to be
breaking down generally in their life -- But in truth, curses are much
less frequent than they might imagine.
And even if the trouble was originally caused by someone "cursing" you
-- So what? YOu can either accept the idea that you're cursed and
pretty much lie down and be miserable until the "curse" runs its course,
or you can (as most metaphysical systems, including most magickal
systems) teach -- take responsibility for your life and start from here
to try to improve the entire situation.
Sometimes, we need to recognize that whatever we've been doing or
however we've been handling our challenges is just no longer working for
us, and the "failures" or problems we're encountering in life is
evidence of that. But of course, it's much easier to believe that it's
somebody else's "fault", and if we can just find the right (defensive or
corrective) spell , everything will be "fixed".
It's much harder (but in the long run, more productive) to look at our
own behavior, and really try to see how we might be contributing to the
run of "bad luck" -- or how we might need to change in order to improve
things. Nobody likes change; human beings will often do just about
anything to avoid having to change; change is scary and challenging and
requires hard work. In fact, most people will stay in a bad, even
painful situation rather than have to change.
That's precisely why sometimes the Universe (or Gods or Higher SElf)
often has to just about beat us over the head (or kick us in the rear!)
to get us to change -- via a run of "bad luck" -- to force us to
confront our reluctance to and fear of change.
If you truly want to make a difference, you may need to confront some
difficult questions, such as:
- How is what i'm doing contributing to the problem?
- What do i need to do to stop contributing to the problem?
- What do i need to change in my life, to make my life work better?
One of the best books i've ever found on helping us to understand why
life just seems to go crazy and everything just "falls apart" sometimes
, as well as how to cope and what to do about that -- and how we can
learn from the experience -- is the excellent book, "Mysteries of the
Dark Moon" by Demetra George -
