Hi All,
It's been a while since I posted anything of much value, so I thought I would pull a card, spend a little time with that, the card we pulled was the 6 of Cups as found in the Magna Tarot; It's really quite a sweet little card, a young girl is picking flowers in the foreground, but if you enlarge the image she appears to not be looking at what she is doing so much as looking sidelong at the young boy deeper set in the frame who is looking at her.
There is a lovely, and Innocent Affection here.
Both characters are far to young to have any sexual interest in one and other, their mutual attraction stems from something simpler, more innocent, and perhaps more near to the soul.
Perhaps,
It stems from the same place that our appreciation for the flowers, the grasses, the trees, the beauty of the scene we find them in stems from that appreciation of Beauty that is not touched by our sexuality.
After all there is something to be learned in the Adam and Eve Myth; Adam and Eve partake of the Apple, discover their sexuality; and in doing so gain the power to participate in the continuation of their people, and in pleasure; but they loose their innocence, they are driven from the garden and cannot return.
The Idyllic life if a child (If that was ever really true) is lost to them, the life of an adult in on them now; but not for these two, not yet; and perhaps not for us, not completely. Perhaps this card, is at least in part saying, that part of us, is still part of us, perhaps buried now, but there none the less; waiting and hoping for us to connect to someone special. Inner Child to Inner Child. That there is something to be said for the embrace, that wants nothing more than to embrace. For a long moment spent with a beautiful flower, given with an innocent heart, for an afternoon spent on the lawn with a dear friend.
Brightest Blessings. BB.
