I dont recall the painting...but Is this the one?http://www.waymarking
com/waymarks/WM5693 it's The Boniface Cathedral,burnt in 1968. The same year
that Rosemary's Baby was in production..

Thanks, Tish. Lovely, but that's a) a photograph and b) during daytime. Heaven (or hell) forbid being thought of as an arsonist or terrorist! No, a nice oil painting is what I'm after, wall-hangable and respectable. The sort of thing one's maiden aunt might give one as a gift!

My apologies for the incorrect directions too - the painting occurs not during their first visit. but near the end, after Rosemary has completely flipped and has gone in alone via the secret passageway behind the wardrobe (or at least is imagining as much - Polanski left it deliberately open as to whether it was all her delusion or not).
