Are We There Yet?

When it comes to that moment of Spiritual enlightenment … that moment
we find ourselves atop the mountain … that place we have been
searching for our whole lives … that place we believe to be at the end
of our path … it's not about that moment at the top … it's about
our journey getting there.
It's how we walked the path on the way… how we carried ourselves…
the lives we touched… and the changes we made in ourselves.
It's not a race … and not a competition.. it's not about being
better than anyone else .. it's about your own growth.
On the way to that mountain top… what did you learn?
How have you changed?
When you look out at the view and see the path you walked… what do you
see? How do you feel?
Was it a good life?

Healing

Essential
Oils...
Essential oils have been used in ritual, religious worship & divination in many cultures throughout the centuries. While the main purpose was to carry prayers to the gods and goddesses, essential oils were also used for healing, purification, grounding & beauty.
The Greeks believed that the gods were the first herbalists & physicians, & that they passed on their healing knowledge to mankind. These early healers were usually priests, however, because ancient societies did not have a scientific explanation of how the plants actually did their healing work, associations were made with religious deities.
Today, we have volumes of facts & scientific evidence of healing with herbs & essential oils, & we have a long history of magickal purposes to draw from as well. Essential oils used in a sacred magickal practice are chosen for their vibration and attunement to a particular energy. By matching the essential oil to a particular chakra that is blocked or out of balance, effective change and healing can begin.

Her foci include the Celtic path, qabala, tarot, aspecting, Faery, nature devas, herbalism and gardening, scrying, shadow work, sacred dreaming, warriorship, kitchen witchery, women's empowerment, and magickal painting.
Maggi received her bachelor's degree from Salisbury University in Fine Art and Anthropology. Since she moved to New Jersey in 2008, she has taught both for her coven, and publicly in DE, PA, and NJ.

Create a Supportive Life Story
When you remember that you are the author of your own life story, you are free to create a masterpiece.
We all have our own life story. It is filled with relationships and events that help shape who we are and what we believe to be true about the world. Depending on our perspective and willingness to grow, our experiences can become fodder for negativity and patterns of playing the victim, or they can fuel a life of empowerment and continued self-development. It is the story we tell ourselves about what happens that makes all the difference.
Take a moment to look at the life story you create for yourself on an ongoing basis. If you generally feel peaceful about the past and trust in your ability to handle whatever comes your way, then you are framing circumstances in a manner that serves you well. On the other hand, if you retain a lot of guilt or resentment and often feel weighed down by life, you may want to start telling yourself a new version of past and present events. No matter who the characters are in your story or what they have done, you are the only one who can give their actions the meaning they will have for you. You are the only one who can define what role you will play in your own life. By taking responsibility for your story, you are able to learn and grow, forgive and find compassion, and most importantly, move on into a brighter future.
From now on, you can choose a life story that supports you. Let it be proof of your own resilience and creativity. Be kind with the roles you give yourself and generous with how many chances you get to learn what you need to know. When you remember that you are the author of your own story, you are free to create a masterpiece.

supposedly beheaded with an axe, thus becoming the patron of woodcutters and carpenters.
It is said that if there is sharp frost on his day it will last several days. Another weather proverb says:
Matthias breaks the ice, if he finds it; If he does not break it, he makes it all the harder.
A good day for honoring any
carpenters you know, for making a bookshelf or beginning a wood-working
project. Also maybe a good day to go ice-skating. Then again maybe not.
Regifugium -On this day, the Roman king "ran for office," pursued by an eager band of would-be usurpers who, if they caught him, could dethrone and kill
him. In later times this ritual was purely ceremonial but it was, as
Frazer writes, "a relic of a time when the kingship was an annual
office, awarded along with the hand of a princess, to the victorious
athlete or gladiator who therefore figured along with his bride as a
god and goddess in a sacred marriage to ensure the fertility of the earth by homeopathic magic."

Themes: Rebirth; Cycles; Joy; Courage; Hope; Cleansing; Change
Symbols: Flowers; Dance; Iron; Sword; Peacock Feathers; Honey
About Kali: Kali, a Hindu Goddess whose name means "time;' is the genetrix of natural forces that either build or destroy. Even in destruction, however, she reminds us that good really can come of bad situations. If you find your hopes and dreams have been crushed, Kali can change the cycle and produce life out of nothingness. Where there is sorrow, she dances to bring joy. Where there is fear, she dances in courage.
To Do Today: Hindus gather today at Shiva's temples to honor his celestial dance; of creation, and Kali dances with them in spirit. Beforehand, they fast and bathe in holy waters for purification. Doing similarly (in your tub or shower) will purge your body and soul of negative influences. Add some flower petals or sweet perfume to the bath to invoke Kali's cleansing power.
To invoke Kali's assistance in bringing new life to stagnant projects or ruined goals, leave her an offering of honey or flowers, and make this Kali amulet: Take any black cloth and wrap it around a flower dabbed with a drop of honey, saying:
Kali, turn, dance, and change.
Fate rearrange.
End the devastation and strife;
what was dead return to life.
Carry this with you until the situation changes, then bury it with thankfulness.

Cash in Your Pocket Spell

Cash in Your Pocket Spell
Take out all of
the cash in your wallet or all of the change in your pocket today. Set
it on a table about a foot away from you. Rub a small amount of cedar or pine oil on your hands. Rub them quickly until you feel your hands warm up. Then say to yourself or chant:
Money, money, come to me.
Riches and wealth, Increase by three times three times three.
Count your money three
times by pulling each bill or coin closer to you as you count it.
Continue your chant as you count. When you are done, fold the bills
toward you and return them to your wallet or pull the coins in to you
before returning them to your pocket. Repeat this spell every three or
nine days until you have what you want.

The sap of spring is beginning to rise in the trees. Growth is like that: invisible at first, then seeming to arrive in a sudden crescendo of green. But the secret of growth resists in invisible times such as these. The world is still gray with winter, but spring has secretly begun.
Within ourselves, too, we must learn to labor through the silent nights and winters of our lives, times when nothing seems to come form fruition, when we encounter only disappointment and disdain. For the inner work we do during these times is what creates the environment for growth on which others later remark. Keep faith during the wintry times, and spring will surely follow.
