Our body is our canvas to do with as we will, I have one so far.

some people, unfortunately find tattoos distasteful and throw up their eyes and

it...

Tattoos are art and have been for a long time

That is true. It's freedom of speech and we can do our art
how ever we want.

a history of tattoos
Posted by: "Amber Texas" ambertexas64@yahoo.com ambertexas64
Sat Feb 19, 2011 2:42 am (PST)
;), i got my first when i was 27, 2 years later i got my second, then 10 yrs
later i got my 3rd and 4th the same day. when i got my first i promised my son,
then 7 i would get him his first when he turned 18, which i figured he would
forget...He didn't. i had the guy that did my #3 & 4, do both of his. my
daughter got her first last year she is 20. my nephew, who was 10 when i got my
first got his first at 16 and now has 9, well...at last count...so....i started
a trend in my family.]
when i got my first, my daughter was just old enough to tell secrets she
wasn't supposed to. we had a huge family get together and formal portraits done
with everyone in them. i wore a very n ice pale lavender blouse for the pics.
after the pics were done we were reviewing them and figured there was a speck of
dust on mine since it couldn't be rubbed off. after having the pics blown up, i
figured out that the speck of dark dust on my blouse was my tattoo on my left
breast showing through. we all had a good laugh, but kept it to ourselves as my
family is extremely uptight and religious. upon seeing my mom a few months
later, she mentioned the pics and my daughter piped up and said, "Oh yeah,
that's mommy's tattoo"....i nearly died from the flush and embarassment and then
nearly lost a cat's life, trying to get out of the situation with my mom. she
didn't find it too funny, like the rest of us did...
you know how kids say the darndest things, she was forever saying things we
didn't want others to know. upon looking at pics w my family all sitting around,
we had announced that i was pregnant. my hair is blonde, my ex hair is black. we
are both white, (now my LTR is a black man) but at the time, the whole family
was white. my daughter piped up and said "My mommy's going to have a black
baby." the room went silent as the moon and my mom looked at me and asked, "Did
you know about this?"....we finally figured out later that upon explaining to a
friend that the father's hair was red and the baby would be a red baby, then
it made sense. the ex' hair was black, so therefore i was having a black baby.
it was the easiest way for a 1 1/2 yr old to explain the difference in the
coloring....so...the unintentional reveal about the "secret" tattoo, remains a
funny story at family dinners to this day....
