Full Moon in Scorpio Tuesday, May 17th, 2011 - Tarot.com

The emotional power of the Scorpio Full Moon at 7:08 am EDT hangs heavy as our
complex needs are contrasted by the simplistic Taurus Sun that pulls us back to
the basics. We want to experience emotional intensity, but the Moon's shift into
free-spirited Sagittarius at 1:22 pm squares Neptune to fire up a round of
unrealistic fantasies. Although a Sun-Saturn alignment restricts our actions,
the Moon-Uranus trine allows our thoughts to surprise us

DailyOM - Living a Spiritual Life
Today's DailyOM brought to you by:

May 17, 2011
Exploring the Soul
Living a Spiritual Life
Remembering who we really are is the first step in awakening to our spiritual
path.

Throughout the journey from birth to death, many people choose to question life,
strive for improvement, seek out knowledge, and search for the divine. Simply
put, this is the essence of spirituality. One's spiritual practice can take on
many forms, because embracing the spiritual is a very personal pursuit. While
many people do relate their spirituality to a God or Goddess, this quest for the
divine, or oneness with the universe, always springs from within. It doesn't
matter where you find your spiritual path. We are all fundamentally spiritual
beings and the essence of that lies in knowing one's true self and finding a
peace that comes from within rather than the outside world. It is in remembering
this that we awaken to our personal path.

The spiritual path springs forth from a daily routine that reaffirms our
personal connection with a purpose or a way of life. Practicing compassion,
gratitude, appreciation, forgiveness, generosity, meditation, and taking care of
one's wellbeing can all be a part of one's spiritual life. If you are new to
exploring your personal spirituality, remember that this is a process. You may
want to spend a few moments each day giving yourself a spiritual gift. Try a new
form of meditation, visit a sanctuary, or explore a specific deity.

Accepting the importance of spirituality can be a healthy decision, because a
spiritual practice tends to include habits that promote healthy living. Take the
time to carefully determine the action, thought, and ritual that most speaks to
your soul. Remember that your most profound spiritual experiences may also come
from the simple intricacies that make up your life. See the interconnectedness
of all things. As you explore your "inner work," you will be walking your
spiritual path and feeling your oneness with the universe.

Goddess of The Day:   Fuwch Gyfeilioru

Posted by: "Cher Chirichello" CHIC0411@YAHOO.COM   chic0411

Tue May 17, 2011 7:32 pm (PDT)

Goddess of The Day: Fuwch Gyfeilioru
Hay on Wye (Wales)

Themes: Creativity; Communication; Arts; Learning; Knowledge
Symbols: Cow; Milk

About Fuwch Gyfeilioru: Fuwch Gyfeilioru is the Welsh Goddess of knowledge,
inspiration, wisdom, and happiness. Appearing sometimes as an elfin cow, she
has an endless supply of magical milk that refreshes ailing dispositions with
joy and creativity.

To Do Today: The Hay on Wye is a Welsh festival of words and language,
specifically in the form of plays, music, debate, poetry and other creative
written and verbal forms that certainly honor Fuwch Gyfeilioru in spirit. In
keeping with the theme, take out your magic diary today. Place one hand on the
cover, asking for this Goddess's insight, then read it over. You'll be
pleasantly surprised by your awareness of metaphysical matters and your growth
in the last few months. Drink a glass of milk, consume milk by-products, or
include beef as part of a meal to physically accept Fuwch Gyfeilioru's powers
into yourself. Focus intently on your goal as you eat or drink, and don't
forget to thank the goddess for her gift by way of a mealtime prayer.

To motivate a little extra creativity, make a milk shake (any flavor, but add a
pinch of cinnamon for energy or nutmeg for luck). The blender "whips up" Fuwch
Gyfelioru's energy in the shake as you incant,

Creativity I claim, by my will and in the Goddess's name!

Drink expectantly.

Dandelion Rheumatism Potion

Posted by: "Cher Chirichello" CHIC0411@YAHOO.COM   chic0411

Tue May 17, 2011 7:33 pm (PDT)

Dandelion Rheumatism Potion

To make a potion to cure rheumatism, begin with half a handful of fresh
dandelion leaves. Put the dandelionleaves in a cup of boiling water, saying:

By power of leaf and herbal charm,
By potion’s strength, relieve all harm.
Pain be gone and joints be free.
As I will, so mote it be.

Infuse for fifteen minutes, adding a clear quartz crystal for the last five.
Drink half a cup of the potion daily. Carry the crystal with you, but wash it
each time you make a new batch of potionto remove the accrued negativity. After
a few months, the dandelion potion will remove the acid deposits that cause the
pain of rheumatism.

Daily Aromatherapy Tip  - Appetite Suppressors

Daily Aromatherapy Tip - Appetite Suppressors

Because smell plays such a large role in how food tastes, overloading our sense
of smell by inhaling the vapor of certain essential oils can suppress the desire
to eat....says the National Association for Holistic Aromatherapy.

To suppress the appetite, it suggests oils such as Dillweed, Ginger, Cumin Seed,
Lemon, Vanilla or Spearmint. Open a bottle and inhale the fragrance for 5 to 10
minutes. If you inhale for less than five minutes......you might stimulate the
appetite. Change the scents daily!

Other oils mentioned (from various sources) include; Grapefruit, Peppermint,
Fennel, Clary Sage, Sandalwood and Ylang Ylang

Indian Poet Chandi

Posted by: "Cher Chirichello" CHIC0411@YAHOO.COM   chic0411

Tue May 17, 2011 7:35 pm (PDT)

We kneel before her, because she is kind and terrible.
We raise our arms to her, because she is gentle and fierce.
We call out to her, again and again: Kali, Mother, O Goddess,
we know it is you who holds up this world, we know
it is you we see shining forth in every being, we know
it is you who is awareness, you who is hunger, you
who is power and peace and faith and beauty and compassion
and contentment and sleep itself and all life, we know
it is you who is our mother, the mother of all forms, and that
you bring love and joy to all who sing your praises.
~Indian Poet Chandi

The Goddess is all contradictions: loving and terrifying at once, both kindly
and fear-invoking. This is because, as the great Hindu poet Chandi reminds us,
the goddess is all that is. And life includes both pain and pleasure, hunger and
the satisfaction of hunger.

The Goddess path is not always an easy one. There is some tragedy, as well as
some joy, in every life. To praise Kali, the Dark Mother, is to begin to heal
ourselves of the falsity of wishing to embrace only life's pleasures. We are
deeply alive when we suffer. Suffering connects us not only to each other - for
all humans suffer - but also to the goddess in her darkest aspects. Without
pain, we would not treasure the marvelous delights of life as deeply. Learning
to accept Kali is the most intense challenge of the Goddess path.

Shielding Meditation for the Strongly Empathic

Posted by: "Cher Chirichello" CHIC0411@YAHOO.COM   chic0411

Tue May 17, 2011 7:36 pm (PDT)

Shielding Meditation for the Strongly Empathic
The psychic shield this meditation creates will allow you, when it is
activated, to filter out strong emotions that can be disorienting or even
draining. To start, sit or lie comfortably, and calm your breathing. Feel your
body coming to rest. Now, take an extra-deep breath and begin building a mental
shield around yourself. Feel layer upon layer building up, wrapping itself
around you in a warm protective coating. Feel the shield becoming translucent,
even porous. Let it become a part of you, and then visualize yourself reaching
out a hand to touch the shield, seeing a static pulse appear under your
fingers. Know that when any strong emotions come toward you they will be
vaporized in a similar pulse. Let the shield damp itself down, remaining
dormant until needed. To activate at any time, visualize the shield powering up
around you like a force field brought back to life.

Spell A Day - Precision Tarot Divination

Posted by: "Cher Chirichello" CHIC0411@YAHOO.COM   chic0411

Tue May 17, 2011 7:59 pm (PDT)

Spell A Day - Precision Tarot Divination

The tarot is a sophisticated divinatory tool capable of giving very precise
information. But where do you start? Some situations or questions are so
complex, they make it difficult to decide on the right kind of reading. You can
begin by drawing just one card from the deck. A low number card from the Minor
Arcana (1 through 5) suggests the matter is simpler than it seems, and you
should use a basic layout such as the three-card past-present-future layout. A
high number card (6 through 10) indicates you should choose a more complex
layout, like the Celtic Cross. A court card means people are at the core of the
question, while the Major Arcana means higher forces are at work. For these,
choose a comprehensive layout.

Need A Little Help?

Need A Little Help?

To Bless a New Relationship

Bake a fresh loaf of bread. Hold it up to the moon and ask the lady
to bless the bread as well as the relationship. Break off a piece of
the bread for your partner, as well as one for yourself as well. As
you share time together, share the bread as well. (Do not cut the
bread with a knife or any other cutting tool. Just break off the
pieces with your hands. Adding butter or jam might be a good idea to
help sweeten things up a bit.)
----------------------------------------------------------
To Attract a Love
Play a CD or Tape of some romantic music that means something to you.
Make sure that the music does not include songs that you associate
