Daily Insight – Growth

The seed begins to develop while beneath the Earth, once it has begun to
sprout it must continue to push forward until it has cleared the
surface. Now it may rest and enjoy the fresh air and sunshine as it's
growth naturally comes into being.

There are times to celebrate, times to do nothing, times to sit in the
stillness and observe and there are times to work. Now is the time to
push forward with your work.

Stay focused on the job at hand. You have all that you need to get the
job done successfully and with much ease. Don't allow yourself to get
distracted from your main goal at the moment.. now is the time to steady
your feet and maintain balance.

Many Blessings,
Raventalker

I bought this movie years ago when it first came out.  What annoyed me about it, is that Scott ran through ingredients so fast.   I slowed down the movie and made a list of the herbs on my computer.  Now when I show the movie to friends, I  give them print outs with the ingredients on them.  The movie is good but Scott seems to be aloof because he doesn't give quantities.   It is his contention that being a "guru' that he can't divulge the secrets.  I think that this is BS and he should care more about his followers.
I know it does not bode well to speak ill of the dead, but I think that he is like so many present authors that think that they need to keep secrets or they may be found lacking.
Oh, well, B*B, Don

my investiture into mastership in germany

1986, after a year and half of studies and wild and wooly practicums i was allowed to be invested with what some would call the third degree i guess..

.it was done infirst week of october,
 cold nip in the air,
in a large city park of dense woods amongst a cluster of saxon or celtic burial mounds < often found in such parks or in fields or military bases>
in mundane dress < it was nippy >
we had a picnic first and i was thus then suprised by them,
we did the bulk of the ritual,
i was then sent off to the top of the chief mound to meditate
a deer came up to me< i didnt notice-- i was trancing > but rest did see, and dropped a stick in my lap
it reluted in a flash of light but no sound and me lying at bottom of mound about 15 feet away with out my shoes and the stick in my hand

What experiences are most magical and meaningful in your life?

What can you remember was the most meaningful moment in your life
during your experiences in the craft? Has there been any life long
changes in your life?

Medetrinalia - The day on which Romans sampled both old wine and the new wine, wine that was not yet fully fermented.

This ritual sampling cured disease, according to this verse which was recited:

Novum vetus vinum bibo,
Novo veteri morbo medeor.
I drink new and old wine,
I cure new and old disease.

Denmark/Germany: Old Lady of the Elder Trees - day of honor for the Old Lady of the Elder Trees, an old Pagan spirit who dwells
within and watches over each and every tree of the elder family. Before cutting any branches to use as magic wands, a libation of
elderberry wine is poured onto the tree's roots.

Greece: Thesmophoria  - a fertility festival. Worshippers would carry sacred baskets containing phallic symbols in a ceremonial

Today's Goddess:  Ti Chih Hsing Chun Han'gul day (Korea)

Posted by: "Cher Chirichello" CHIC0411@YAHOO.COM   chic0411

Mon Oct 10, 2011 8:56 pm (PDT)

Today's Goddess:  Ti Chih Hsing Chun
Han'gul day (Korea)

Themes: Learning Communication; Karma; History
Symbols:  All Alphabets; Paper and Pen or Pencil

About Ti Chih Hsing Chun: This Goddess is record keeper of heaven in this part of the world,
making detailed notes of all good and evil deeds.  As such, she makes us more aware of the importance of effective communication and keeping
accurate histories.  Ti Chih Hsing Chun also reminds us of how our
actions (or inaction) affect all things, helping us get our karma back
in balance.

To Do Today:  This day commemorates the origination of the Korean alphabet, which
became the official writing system and heralded a new age of development for the Korean people.  Koreans traditionally practice handwriting (or
calligraphy) on this day, which for us translates into carefully tending to your personal journal or book of shadows (your personal spell and
ritual collection).  As you write, invoke the goddess's aid for
accuracy.  Also review the notes you've made thus far this year.  Ti
Chih Hsing Chun lives in those words and will show you how much your
spirit has grown toward true goddess-centered living.  This awareness
inspires hope, which in turn will energize your efforts through the next two months.

Finally, consider
learning a new alphabet today, such as the runes.  These magical sigils
provide all types of symbols to empower your spells, and they can become useful tools in expressing ideas not easily communicated with words.

Stone Magic Spell

Posted by: "Cher Chirichello" CHIC0411@YAHOO.COM   chic0411

Mon Oct 10, 2011 8:57 pm (PDT)

Stone Magic Spell
Incense of the day: Clove

Try creating a magical connection to a stone or rock that you have in your
home. First cleanse yourself by bathing and putting on fresh clothes.
Then take your special stone to your altar, and admire its beauty and
power. Remember where you were bought or found it. Then smudge the stone with cedar or sage smoke. While smudging, give thanks for having the
stone in your life, then hold it in your hand and feel its powers. Some
stones may be heating and stimulating, others may be grounding and
centering. Honor your stone's powers, and say: Precious stone, I give
thanks for your healing power. Please help to strengthen and nourish me
and all others in this home. Then place the stone in a special place on
your altar or in your home. Use the stone in rituals and ceremonies.

Samhain is the Dark Moon Aspect of the Year!

Samhain is the dark moon aspect of the year, the time right before the
new moon, when light fades and everything enters the darkness. It's a
time for letting go, seeking from within, and healing. What can you do
to take back the dark and the healing energies it can bring?
