Daily Insight – Oct. 13 – Endurance
Endurance isn't based solely on the physical but also the mental and
the emotional self. All three are tied together however, for you must
draw from inside yourself to endure any of the above.
You may be physically able to run a marathon, but the drive that keeps
you running when your body is ready to quit comes from inside.
Learn to use the obstacles in your path as opportunities for growth.
Take heed the lessons that come your way and stay steadily focused on
the goal ahead.
When you feel as though you can't walk another mile, take another blow
to your heart or make it through another crisis … know that within the
embers still burn, the fire may be doused but the embers to once again
ignite that fire are there. You can do it. This feeling to stop, give up
or quit will pass and you will make it through.

When using essential oils for a headache, try inhalation from a tissue. This method often works faster and better
than massage. Oils to try are Lavender, Chamomile, Peppermint, Basil and Rosemary.

Some of you may have made the muslin bags filled with Lavender buds to add to your clothes dryer.
Here's a little different twist. Use raw uncooked rice in the muslin bags. In a bowl add Lavender essential
oil to the rice, stir and place in bags. You can also use handkerchiefs or other material. Just be sure to
seal or tie it so you don't end up with rice in your dryer

Holy Kuan-Yin
Her very name is holy
and powerful as thunder over water.
There is nothing else so powerful.
We bow our heads to her:
may her glance be compassionate
and her blessings be infinite.

In the middle of this
lunar month, the Chinese traditionally celebrated the anniversary of the girl Miao Chan's transmutation into the kindly bodhisattva Kuan-Yin.
Buddhism has no official deities; theologically, it expresses the belief that what lies beyond us is to impersonal to be called a god or a
goddess. Yet human beings need god-like figures, and to meet that need
Buddhism offered up the bodhisattvas, who are something between saints
and deities. On the road to buddahood, they are almost at the end. One
step more, and they will dissolve into nirvana, unifying with the
cosmos.
According to her myth,
Kuan-Yin reached that final step and stopped, promising to remain in
this world until very living thing becomes holy. Of the great
bodhissatvas, Kuan-Yin is the only woman and the most beloved. So
powerful is she that merely mentioning her name gains the speaker
spiritual merit. A loving presence Kuan-Yin need not be a Goddess to
offer sympathy to her children.

Fear Death, Fear Life itself

Fearing death is nothing like fearing life itself, makes you wonder, after all the years we live through trial and error,
some lives can be really dramatically changed in a second, would death hold the same journeys we follow in life?
