Consider it done. May everything turn out well for you both.

I've a good friend that is in foreclosure. The people that own the house
know that her family has had some problems, but they are going to evict her
from her home after the Holidays.
She has until the end of the month to get up $5k to the lawyer, she's in
chapter 13 right now.
I've tried to get up some funds for her, I've gathered things up for them to
have a somewhat good Yule, but every place that she's called says the same
thing. "No funds available."
Worse, some places say that she's not qualified for help because she isn't
homeless yet or they aren't making enough money. Plus the people that own
the house/mortgage won't participate in the modification programs that are
available.
I've checked online and they have the house up for sale, with owner
financing available, with a rent to own option. Yet they won't work
something out with the family already in the home. They are upper class
property owners, they are not struggling to make payments or they would be
willing to help this family. They won't even take partial payments, which
shows that they aren't worried about money.
How could anyone have a heart that would toss out a family with a young
child after the Holidays?
Please send positive healing energy to this family. My good friend is Quanda
Moore-Nathan and her husband Trent and their 4yr old son Tristan. I
appreciate any blessings you can offer.
Blessed Yule to all

Today's Goddess: CAILLEACH BHEUR Winter Solstice (Various Locations)

Today's Goddess: CAILLEACH BHEUR
Winter Solstice (Various Locations)
Themes: Balance; Cycles; Rebirth; Overcoming Winter
Symbols: Snow; Blue Items
About Cailleach Bheur: In Scottish tradition, this is a blue-faced crone goddess who blusters with power throughout
the winter months. She rings the snow and cold until the wheel of time turns toward spring on Beltane (May Day).
To Do Today: Just as darkness seems to be winning, the Crone goddess stirs in the earth's womb and inspires hope.
She knows that the time for her rebirth as a young woman will come in spring, when she will fertilize the earth. For
now, however, the first step is renewing the sun, whose light will begin to get stronger. Since this goddess is one of
cold honesty, wear something blue today to encourage personal reserve, control, and truth with yourself throughout
the day.
In keeping with the themes of this celebration, try this mini-ritual: In the morning, cover your altar or a table with a
yellow cloth (maybe a napkin or placemat) to represent the sun. Place a blue candle in a central location on the table, along with a bowl of snow or rain water to represent Cailleach Bheur and winter. As the candle burns with the light
of the sun, the wax shrinks and this goddess's snows melt, giving way once more to the power of warmth and light.
Keep the remnant wax and remelt it for any spells in which you need a cooler head. Pour the water from the snow outside to rejoin the goddess.

Bringing Back the Sun Incense of the day: Sage

Bringing Back the Sun
Incense of the day: Sage
The Winter Solstice is the
longest night of the year. The Sun has reached its weakest point, but on this night it will be reborn and begin its growth to the long days of
summer. All the holidays of December are connected to this event. The
Celts call this day Alban Arthuan. The name Yule is Germanic. At this
time of the year many people become depressed. Often this is blamed on
the fact that the celebrations fail to meet their expectations. But
people have always become depressed at this time of the year because of
the lack of sunlight and the seeming death of all of nature. To ancient
peoples this fear was personified as an attack of elves and ghostly
spirits, similar to the beliefs surrounding Halloween. This is obvious
when one studies the customs of the Shetland and Orkney Islands in the
far north of Scotland. This was one of the last places in Europe to
become Christian, therefore their customs are closer to the ancient
past. Here, this holiday was called Yule into the twentieth century. On
the actual solstice, these islands see only six hours of daylight. Their Yule lasts from December 20 to January 13.
.
During this period, defense from
the spirits of the dead becomes paramount. The house and barn are
decorated with amulets in the form of straw crosses. Sheaves of corn are placed on the roof; round cakes are baked with the solar cross
inscribed on them, and plenty of ale is brewed. Drinking ale is so
important that there is a fine for anyone who abstains. During this
period all work except the most necessary stops, and the nights are
spent singing and dancing. In this way, the danger and the depression
are staved off by joy. We often hear that we decorate our homes with
evergreens because they are a symbol of life everlasting in this season
of frost. This is true, but holly is also an amulet that captures evil
on its barbs before it can enter the house. In the West, one must
realize that it is natural to become depressed at this time of year.
Just accept it, and make use of the ancient amulets and rituals designed to help bring back the Sun.

Navaho song

Everything is beautiful.Everything is really beautiful.
Everything is really beautiful, indeed.
The earth and sky are joining, beautifully.
They are making love to each other, beautifully.
They are making the white corn, which is beautiful.
They are making the yellow corn, which is beautiful.
They are making everything happy and beautiful.
Everything is happy and beautiful indeed.
~Navaho song
The planet is still at rest. For almost five days in this solstice week, the earth's movement is imperceptible.
Yet we have passed the point of the darkest time, and have begun the silent and slow movement toward the light.
How much we yearn for light in the dark times of winter! Even knowing how important rest is to our selves
and to our planet, how happily we greet the dawn and the spring! Even as sophisticated as we consider ourselves,
we dream a sigh of relief once the difficult passage of the solstice has once again been negotiated. Now we will
survive, we tell ourselves. Now the worst is over. And it is.
