Abraham Hicks Daily Quote - 12/15/2010

Posted by: "Ash" mhc4sure@yahoo.com   mhc4sure

Wed Dec 15, 2010 4:30 am (PST)

Feel the power and the freshness of your now: You decipher the contrast.
You know what you don't want. You send out your rocket of desire of what
you do want, and now you stand in a fresh new place; you want in a fresh
way that you have never wanted before. And that's what life is. In that
fresh wanting, you summon another dose of Energy.

If you can begin to savor the mere fact that you have desire right now,
and you would stop trying so hard to have that desire be fulfilled and
manifested in some physical format, then you would have it.

The Zebra

Individuality
Health          Harmony

Take
a deep breath and let the spirit of the zebra fill you.

Click here to listen to the Zebra's Song.

Zebra energy will help you to
take the apparently conflicting parts of your personality and weave them into a
pattern which is unique, distinctive and beautiful.  As a zebra, the artist
within you can live in harmony with the businessperson, the spiritual explorer
with the secular decision-maker, the dreamer with the practical goal-setter,
neither overpowering the other, each retaining its place of importance and full
expression.  The zebra will teach you to honor the black and white sides of
yourself without compromising yourself into a dull gray.

The zebra will also teach you
how to seek out others who are like you, finding comfort and company in groups,
while maintaining your own unique identity, your pattern of stripes like a
fingerprint, unlike any other.  This combination of individuality within
community will be a very powerful force in your life.

The zebra energy is also the
energy of physical health, long life and great stamina.  Breathe in this vital
source of very real physical power.  Feel how you are capable of running across
the plains for hour after hour, each step filling you with vibrant earth energy,
so that the more you exercise, the more energized you become.  Then just kick up
your heals with joy, for you are the zebra, vital and alive.  How fortunate you
are!

Quado's Garden: You Are Deeply Creative

You
are Deeply Creative

You
are a
deeply creative person.  You are an original, with things to be said and
done in a way which no one else could say and do them.  You are unique in all
the world, and yet you are deeply connected to all that is and have something
important to share with the rest of the world.  Yourself.

Do not ask whether you are
creative.  You are.  Ask only for the courage to shine out with all that you
are.

Push away the shadows of
fear and doubt from your life and open up to yourself.  Shine out with all that
you are.  Dig deep and find the courage to say what you believe, to live your
life in full integrity, to be a walking, talking representation of your truest
self.

There is a price paid for
each time that you suppress your truth because you are afraid someone else will
not approve of it.  Imagine if you were to live your life in full expression of your
deepest truths and talents, letting your original self shine through.  What a
joy that would be!  What freedom!

Pagan Words and Meanings

Pagan Words and Meanings:

CORRESPONDENCES:
Correspondence
is a teaching system which uses the idea of Sympathy to say that items
which have the similar qualities may be represented by each other. Thus
the Direction of the East is said to correspond to the Element of Air,
the quality of Thought, the Dawn of the day, the Spring of the year, the
beginning of any project, the Maiden Goddess (such as Aradia or the
Greek Kore), the Young God (such as Horus or the Green Man at Spring),
and many other things. Used in part as an aid to memory, the system of
Correspondence illustrates the idea that "As Above, So Below" and is
used at the heart of the system of Allegory through which many Pagan
ideas are portrayed and transmitted.

Brightest Blessings,

DailyOM: Conscious Creation

DailyOM - The First Moments Of The Day
Today's DailyOM brought to you by:

December 15, 2010
Conscious Creation
The First Moments Of The Day
When we very first open our eyes it sets the tone for all that comes after it, our ability to create the day.

The moment during the day when we very first open our eyes and come into consciousness is a precious opportunity. It sets the tone for all that comes after it, like the opening scene in a film or novel. At this moment, our ability to create the day is at its most powerful, and we can offer ourselves fully to the creative process by filling this moment with whatever inspires us most. It may be that we want to be more generous, or it may be that we want to be more open to beauty in our daily lives. Whatever the case, if we bring this vision into our minds at this very fertile moment, we empower it to be the guiding principle of our day.

Sometimes we wake up with a mood already seemingly in place, and it’s important to give this feeling its due. It can inform us and deepen our awareness to what’s going on inside us, as well as around us. As long as we are conscious, we can honor this feeling and also introduce our new affirmation or vision, our conscious offering to the day. We may want to decide before we go to sleep what we want to bring to the next day of our lives. It could be that we simply want to be more open to whatever comes our way. Or we may want to summon a particular quality such as confidence. Then again, we may simply call up a feeling that perfectly captures the texture we want our day to have.

We can reaffirm our vision or affirmation as we shower and eat breakfast, as well as recalling it at various times throughout the day. We can write it down and carry it with us on a little slip of paper if this helps. Simply by being aware of those first moments, we set the stage for a more conscious, enlivened experience, and we become active participants in the creation of our lives.

To bless is to curse ....What??????

To bless is to curse....What??????

Some witches believe that you cannot effectively bless if you do not know how to curse.
The reason behind this belief is if you don't recognize the cause of a magical problem and fully comprehend the processes used to enact it, how can you possibly hope to discharge it?

Should Magic be used as a weapon, even if it's only to fight back, what if your family/friends are attacked? What if you Wiccan and follow the Rede?

What is the difference between Hex and Curse?

How do you know if you curse people if you don't know the difference, is there a difference??

Pine Needle Tea

Posted by: "Cher Chirichello" CHIC0411@YAHOO.COM   chic0411

Wed Dec 15, 2010 7:35 am (PST)

Pine Needle Tea (of course make sure your not allergic to Pine)

White pine trees, Pinus strobus, are considered by some admirers to be one of the most magnificent of forest trees. The rapid growing pine, one of Americ's most valued timbered trees, is also grown as a shade or ornamental tree. Native Americans used white pine needles medicinally as a remedy for many illnesses; a tea made from needles was found particularly useful. Today, we know pine needle tea is especially beneficial for such respiratory problems as colds and congestion. Pine needle tea is an excellent remedy for acute bronchitis, especially when it is accompanied by stubborn and thick mucus production and expectoration. The components in pine have wound healing, decongestive and disinfectant effects and disinfectant effects on the respiratory passages. Painful throat irratation is reduced and inflamed bronchi are soothed. Even inhaling the vapors of this tea can bring relief. Drink 3 cups daily with a little honey, if desired.

When it's it's used in a bath, the tea is considered quite effective in treating chronic gout pain, nerve pain and arthritis, as well as sprains and muscle strains. To prepare a bath, place a large hanful offresh needles in a muslin bag and bring it to a boil and simer for 30 minutes. For best effect, add both the liquid and the bag of needles to the bath.

Pine needle tea has a mildly diuretic effect and will help remove small deposits that often accumulate in the kidneys and the bladder. This "gravel" may lead to painful kidney stones. The germicidal effect in the pine's essential oil alleviates inflammations associated with the urinary tract.

To Flush Urinary Tract
1 ounce white pine needles
3/4 ounce dandelion leaves
3/4 oince goldenrod herb
Prepare this medicinal tea in 1 quart of water and boil for about 2 minutes. Cover and let steep for 30 minutes. This tea is to stimulate urination and to flush crystalline deposits from the body, preventing a build up that can lead to kidney gravel and stones.

The needles from the white pine tree are used more commonly as a remedy than the familar Scots pine, Pinus sylvestris, which has similar components and is used as an ornament or christmas tree. While pine needles aren't available commercially, they may be gathered in the wild. The White Pine tree is distinguishable by its flexible, blue-gree needles, arranged in bundles of five. Caution: People may experience contact dermatitus from the resinous sap of the tree.

A tea made with white pine needles is most effective when using the young needles. Boil 3 Tablesthingys of fresh or dried pine needles in 1 quart of water for about 2 minutes. Cover and let steep for 30 minutes. Drink 3-4 large cups of tea, sweetened with honey to taste, between meals.

For circulation
1 ounce White pine needles
3/4 ounce Hawthorn Blossoms
1/2 ounce Peppermint leaves
1/2 ounce Rosemary leaves
Prepare this blend for an invigorating tea in 1 quart of water and boil for about 2 minutes. Cover and let steep for 30 minutes. Because it is a mild stimulant, anyone with highblood pressure should only drink small amounts of the tea.

For Neuralgic Pain
1 ounce Pine needles
1 ounce Calendula Flowers
1 ounce St. John's Wort
Prepare this tea in 1 quart of water and boil for about 2 minutes. Cover and let steep for 30 minutes. With this medicinal plant mixture to help calm nerves and to alleviate headache from neuralgic pain. Drink as a tea or use it in a compress to relieve headache pain.

Brightest Blessings

YULE/YULETIDE-DECEMBER 20-23

Posted by: "Cher Chirichello" CHIC0411@YAHOO.COM   chic0411

Wed Dec 15, 2010 7:46 am (PST)

YULE/YULETIDE-DECEMBER 20-23

We begin the heart of the darkness. Winter is full upon the Earth; snow veils the landscape, thin trees are brittle with ice, and stars shatter the black mirror of the sky. The air is cold, metallic, sharp to breathe; scarves of woodsmoke drift in the sky over rooftops outlined with twinkling lights, and
porch lamps gleam from early in the afternoon until long into the night.

It is the Winter Solstice, known as Yule or Yuletide, the longest night of the year. In some Traditions, this night begins the new year; for all, this is the holy night of rebirth, when the Wheel begins to turn once more toward the light.
In ancient times, people gathered on this night by a hearth, ablaze with fire, every windowsill and table dancing with candle flame- sympathetic magic to call the Sun back to the dark Earth, and welcome him.

Yule is a time of awakening, of welcoming the new and the possible, when the Sun is born again of the virgin Goddess. Evergreens, cut from the forest and brought into the home, are an ancient Celtic symbol that life continues, even in darkest winter; mistletoe is a Druid symbol of fertility, lovers, and the seed of the God. Holly and ivy invoke protection and good fortune; reindeersymbolize the Horned God; and the colors red, green, silver, and gold represent fire, earth, the moon, and the Sun, respectively.

Customs for this Sabbat include burning a Yule log (an oak or birch log decorated with ribbons, greenery, and holly berries) to represent the fire of the returning Sun. Light the log using an unburned piece of the previous year's log; afterward, spread the ashes in your garden for fertility and save a small piece of the log for next year, keeping it in your home for good luck.

Burn bayberry candles for prosperity, or write wishes on bay leaves and throw them into the fire. Bake cookies or bread using cinnamon, a traditional spice representing the Sun. Make wreath to symbolize the Wheel of the Year, and decorate it with pine cones to represent the God and fruit to represent the Goddess. Decorate a Yule tree with images to invoke the coming year's blessings, such as fruit and nuts for abundance, heart-shaped charms for love, feathers, for inspiration, and coins for prosperity.

Write a list of all the things you wish to see "Birthed" in the coming year, and tuck the list into a special box or container. Leave the box undisturbed until next Yule, then open it and read your list. You'll be astonished to find that most, if not all, of your desires will have manifested! Just be careful what you wish for.....

Stay up and watch the sunrise, and toast the returning Sun King with hot ginger-spiced cider.

Blessed be.......

Tiny Wisdom: On Resisting EmotionsDec 14, 2010 11:31 pm | Lori Deschene
“Whatever you fight, you strengthen, and what you resist, persists.” -Eckhart Tolle
No amount of strength will change the fact that we are human, and to
be human means to hurt. We won’t hurt always, and we don’t have to
suffer endlessly, but we will feel emotions all through our lives.
Even if we become really adept at dealing with uncomfortable emotions,
we will never completely transcend them. And would we even want to? The
ability to feel the darkest of moments gives us the capacity to enjoy
the lightest.
So I say lets stop fighting our natural duality. There’s no reason to
pretend you’re smiling when you’re crying silently inside. It’s
pointless to pretend you don’t feel angry, annoyed, frustrated,
exhausted, disappointed, disillusioned, or dissatisfied when you do. Sit
there and feel whatever you feel. It has a lot less power when you let
it go through you.
Only in experiencing and then taking power away from our emotions can we then let them go and move on.
What do you need to feel and then release today?

Let Go of Negative Feelings: 3 Ways to Watch Them DisappearDec 14, 2010 11:30 pm | tinybuddha

Editor’s Note: This is a guest contribution by Michelle Chambers
“Some people think it’s holding that makes one strongâ€"sometimes it’s letting go.” ~Unknown
I’m the divorced mother of 2 teenage girls. Holidays are split between the girls having Thanksgiving with their dad and Christmas
with me on even-numbered years and vice versa on odd number years. It’s
hard on all of us, but it has been especially hard on me this year.
This year I had Thanksgiving with my girls the weekend before Thanksgiving and asked if they wanted come over on Black Friday to set up the Christmas tree as was the tradition before. They said sure.
I called them about 10 that morning to find out when they’d be ready
for me to pick them up. Well, they forgot and made plans with their
grandmother to go shopping. I was devastated and in tears. So many
emotions were ripping my heart apart.
I was mad and resentful. How could they forget me like this?
Here’s another time when my mother-in-law come in between the affections
of me and my girls. This must be their way of punishing me.
I felt guilty. Had I not divorced their father, they wouldn’t be
torn between two families! Maybe if I had tried harder. I shouldn’t be
mad. They are teenagers and as such, egocentric! We all know this! I
should be more flexible and understanding, but I’m mad!
I was afraid. If I show them I’m hurt and mad, they aren’t going to want to be with me, but if I don’t, then they might think I don’t care!
I criticized their father and grandmother. Once again their
father has failed to stand up for my wants and needs! Once again, my
mother-in-law has butted into my business with my kids!
I wallowed in all of these feelings for hours until I passed out from
exhaustion. When I woke up, I decided that I was going to take on the
philosophy of the Ebenezer Scrooge and The Grinch. I told my husband that I was canceling Christmas.
I was tired of getting hurt and if I didn’t celebrate Christmas ever
again, then I wouldn’t have to get hurt again. He sat for a moment in
silence and then calmly said, “What about me? What about us? What about our Christmas?” (Insert sound of crashing into a wall…) He was right.
I had gotten trapped in the vines of despair and now I needed to release it, but how? How does one let go?
Is it easy as saying “I release (insert your negative feeling)…” and
then never thinking about it again? For some it is, but for me, I need
physical and symbolic actions to take place. Here are some techniques
that I have used in the past:
1. Burning
How many of us have been told to write a letter and burn it? That’s
because it works. There’s a great satisfaction in seeing the words
disappear in flames and the paper turn to ash. Whatever you wrote has
disappeared.
Maybe the smoke carried it away to be cleansed in the universe. I
like to take it one step further and put the ashes in the toilet and
flush them away.
2. Window Crayons
Crayola has these nifty things called Window Crayons.
You can write on windows or mirrors and it wipes off relatively easily.
I like to take them into the shower and write on the tile whatever I
want to release.
After I wash my body, I wipe whatever is left of the words off of the
tile. (The water has washed most of it away) Sometimes it takes a
little scrubbing to get all of it off and down the drain, but the words
go along with the dirt and germs you have accumulated over the day.
3. Buddha Board
I found the buddha board
in a “new age” store and it has become one of my favorite tools to
release bad feelings. It has a board that you stand on a pedestal that
holds a reservoir of water.
You take the provided brush, dip it in the water, and then draw,
write, or doodle on the board. Eventually, whatever you put on the board
evaporates and disappears.
Next time you find yourself needing to release something negative from your soul, I hope that these few suggestions help!

Introduction to Tarot: Week 6: The Celtic Cross

Introduction to Tarot: Week 6: The Celtic Cross
If you can't see this email, click here

Introduction to Tarot

Week 6: The Celtic Cross
From Patti Wigington, your Guide to Paganism / Wicca
Last week, you should have spent some time working with the Pentagram layout and the Romany spread. How did you do? Did you get a chance to read for someone else? Are you feeling more comfortable with the interpretations of the cards?

This week, we'll wrap things up with the fairly detailed Celtic Cross spread. We'll also talk about those rare occasions where a Tarot reading just doesn't work, and readers share their stories about the worst readings ever.
The Celtic Cross

The Tarot layout known as the Celtic Cross is one of the most detailed and complex spreads used. It's a good one to use when you have a specific question that needs to be answered, because it takes you, step by step, through all the different aspects of the situation. Basically, it deals with one issue at a time, and by the end of the reading, when you reach that final card, you should have gotten through all the many facets of the problem at hand.

* Card 1: The Querent
* Card 2: The Situation
* Card 3: The Foundation
* Card 4: The Recent Past
* Card 5: Short Term Outlook
* Card 6: Present State of the Problem
* Card 7: Outside Influences
* Card 8: Internal Influences
* Card 9: Hopes and Fears
* Card 10: Long Term Outcome

When Tarot Readings Fail

Believe it or not, sometimes -- no matter how hard you try -- it's just impossible to get a good reading for someone. There are a variety of reasons for this, and it's not as unusual as you may expect. Here's what to do if it happens to you. Go There

Tarot Readings from Hell

Have you done a reading that was just awful? Perhaps nothing made sense, or the person you were reading for was just "off"? Share your stories, and read what other people have to say about their worst Tarot readings! Go There

Congratulations!

Congratulations! You've finished your six-week Introduction to Tarot e-class! By now, you should have a good grip on not only the cards and their meanings, but also how you can read them. Take some time each day to work with your Tarot deck, even if you only have time to pull one card in the morning. Try to read not only for yourself, but for other people.

Remember, Tarot reading is not "fortune telling" or "predicting the future." It is a tool for introspection, self-awareness, and guidance. Use your cards each day, and you'll be surprised at the depth of information they will reveal to you!

If you enjoyed this e-class, you may want to try one of our other free e-classes, available here: Take an Online Class.

Spayed/Neutered • Up-to-date with routine shots • House trained • Prefers a home without: cats, children under 5

Medium Build, Young 2 yrs old I believe I can find that out, she also has an
under bite but is very good at eating on her own, she is a sweet heart

Sugar is my Mother n laws dog that had to be given up due to a bang of babies coming to the house, she is better off with an older family that
understands the bread. Sugar is very loving, she loves to play, she is a fast learner, She is very home sick and loves attention...Please help
her find a home for me, she really needs love and is way better off with a family in a spacey home that is comfortable. She had to be placed in Bloomingdale Animal Shelter and is walked daily, played with, they said she is very popular with the staff. Cher

Sugar is new and
unlike some dogs who come into the kennel, Sugar seems to really be
enjoying the attention and her soft, comfy bed. Sugar has realized that
if she picks up her toy and brings it to anyone who passes by, she may
get a pet on the head, some soft encouraging words and maybe even a
treat. However, we have not found a treat exciting enough to make her
give up her new found toys! Sugar likes other dogs but we are not going
to find out if she likes cats. Her kennel is always clean and she
doesn't bark much.

Please help us find her a nice home, make sure they are good people not those nasty dog fighters like Vick!
Sugar is a Young female, I have to get the accurate age, I think she's 2 at least 3 I can find that out Cher

Thunderegg

Posted by: "Ash" mhc4sure@yahoo.com   mhc4sure

Thunderegg

By
Patricia J.
Martin
In the true tradition of
Ostara where the fertility of rabbits and
eggs prevail and where the Goddess Eostre bursts forth
from her hidden abode to begin renewing the earth and
fulfilling the promise of Spring, I found some very interesting
connections within the physicality and
essence of a most interesting stone called ~ the
Thunderegg!
An often
drab and uninteresting egg-shaped or spherical stone with a
matrix shell comprised of silica birthed within volcanic ash,
it's what is encapsulated inside of these
natural wonders that has captured the minds and hearts of
collectors over the years and throughout the world.  When
cracked open, the inside of the Thunderegg (called the lens or window)
is most often comprised of a beautifully banded, moss or
plume Agate, but can alternately contain Jasper or occasionally
Common Opal.  When the two inner surfaces are polished, the
glorious configurations spring forth and truly come to life, usually
in the shape of a star or flower-like pattern - the most famous of
the "flowers" being the Priday Plume variety which were mined many years
ago on the Priday ranch in Madras, Oregon.

Star
Thunderegg
    Priday Plume
Different
from a Geode which is simply a hollow rock containing crystal druse, the
Thunderegg is a specific geological departure from the norm and
is filled solid with its inner mineral beauty.  They
can range in size from less than an inch to four feet in diameter,
with weight ranging from less than an ounce to over a ton.
Most of those collected, though, are approximately the size of a
baseball and weigh between one to two pounds.

Oregon
Thundereggs
In myth, the
Thunderegg was believed by the Pacific Northwest Native Americans to
be thunderous rock eggs thrown across the valley
between two mountains (specifically Mount Hood and Mount Jefferson in
Oregon) by the warring Thunder Gods whenever they became angry with
or jealous of each other.  Hence, the English version of
the Indian name "thunder eggs".  Or, as another story goes,
they were thrown from the mountains by the angry gods who were
displeased with the humans there.  Thundereggs are
also associated with the Norse god, Thor (known as Donner in
German), the god of thunder.

Donner (Thor)
calling upon the storm clouds, by Arthur Rackham to Wagner's Das
Rheingold

Found
extensively in northeastern Australia, but also very prolific in
Oregon in the U.S. where they adopted it as their state rock in
1965, Thundereggs are also found in Germany, Mexico, Canada, France
and various regions in Africa.   These uniquely constructed
nodules were formed millions of years ago following volcanic
eruptions.  As lava poured forth and began to cool, certain pools
of it became "frothy" and developed gas pockets.
As this bubbling brew was hardening, minute amounts of
mineral-rich water seeped inside each cavity where, later, as it
slowly evaporated, it left behind traces of silica or other
minerals.  These trace minerals then began growing
within the shell and, over time, filled the "egg"
solid with the Agate, Jasper or Common Opal we
find there now.  It is commonly thought that through the
growth process, the expansion and contraction of the gases
(that, or the drying out process) is what created ruptures or
cracks in the matrix which eventually became the reason for
the unique "star" patterns of internal mineral
growth.
Because the
Thunderegg's beauty is held hidden within until we crack them open,
this aspect of the stone resonates with the astrological Sign of
Scorpio.  Its stellar Agate insides work well with Virgo and Gemini,
both of which share Agate as one of their birthstones.  And
because the Thunderegg is most often highly-collected in its duo form -
the two pieces of the split stone having its inside faces polished
and where those two facial designs appear identically
mirrored to each other - it becomes an excellent representation
of the Equinox, the time of equal day and night...a time of
balance...and thus finds its connection with Libra and its
ruler Venus, the goddess of love.  These two mirrored
pieces of one stone may be used in love spells or as a bonding
talisman between two lovers or friends.  And therein lies
yet another connection with Ostara - a time of budding love,
fertility and joyous renewal.

Thundereggs,
by their very own surprise insides, teach us how better to
look within ourselves and appreciate our own inner light and beauty,
which it then prompts us to unleash and share with the
world.   They push us to recognize that all creatures
possess this same inner beauty and light and
that, though we may need to search for it, it is
always there.  This makes the Thunderegg a perfect catalyst
stone for those of us in the Northern Hemisphere, pushing us to jump
into Spring and to activate our Winter musings, insisting
we now bring out and release our very best!  For those in
the Southern Hemisphere at this time, it will pull you inside yourself to
bask in the beauty there as you enter the Mabon harvest and prepare
for Winter.  These marvelous "eggs" can also help ease
stressful situations and will aid us in finding joy and peace no matter
where we are in the world.

Metaphysically, the Thunderegg is known to quell anger and
hostility in those who work with it.  It also acts as a glue,
enhancing community cooperation and bringing people together to work for a
common cause.  It brings stable progress and helps us put the
right thought together with the right action in order to manifest our
intentions properly and in the best manner.
Thundereggs
are excellent for helping us reach and work with the Other Realms and for
providing a link to them, along with facilitating a greater
awareness for what we will gather there.
With the
main lore connected to Thundereggs revolving around the mythos of
being a weapon of the gods or being attached to the thunder of Thor,
we can connect this hearty stone to clairaudience - its own
"thunder" creating an attention-grabbing way for us to hear and
discern what messages we are receiving from practically anything around
us.  If you have trouble hearing or noticing opportunistic mystical
guidance, a Thunderegg can be a very helpful aid.  If you feel your
mind is very active already and that you have no problem in receiving
subtle messages, then I would suggest saving Thunderegg medicine for
another time.  I personally haven't used Thunderegg medicine very
often, but I do own one that has helped me in receiving Totemic
messages, as I find the designs within the egg often mimic the
shape of whatever is trying to get our attention.  For example, I
noticed years ago that my smallest Thunderegg contains the image of not
only the initial Squirrel I saw there, but also one of a Dolphin and
a Dove...each viewable as you turn the stone deosil.  It is my "Work
+ Play = Rejuvenation" stone.

The three
sides of my egg ~"Squirrel" "Dolphin"
"Dove"
Thundereggs
collected from Mt. Hay in Queensland, Australia, have earned the nickname
"Amulet Stones" and when polished on the outer surface and placed under a
UV light, often exhibit a shimmering Spring green glow.
They are carried for good luck and protection.  For other myth
and lore connected to Thundereggs we can look to the essence of its
center, be it Agate, Jasper, Opal or other mineral.  Finding out what
your "egg" contains will give you strong hint of its additional
powers.  Since the majority of Thundereggs contain Agate in some
form, we can expect those to help us in the following ways: For eloquence
of truths, enhancement of perceptions, analytical prowess, and strength of
protection.  For creative dreams, increased concentration,
enhancement of memory, and communication with all others.
And for good health in skin, bones, liver, spleen and stomach areas,
along with balance to the Nervous and Endocrine Systems.
But for
however you use the versatile powers of
your Thunder"egg"...may the fertility and abundance of Spring and the
hand of Eostre knock loudly on your door!

Today's Goddess: Hexe Saint Hildegard Dies

Today's Goddess:Hexe
Saint Hildegard Dies

Themes: Health, Banishing:Magic
Symbols: Healing Herbs and Charms

About Hexe: This ancient Germanic witch's goddess rules over health, banishing curses and teaching
people the effective use of spells, charms and other mystical procedure for improving well being, Thus
we come by the old phrase "hex doctor".

To Do Today: Living in the 1100's St Hildegard was a renowned Benedictine nun living in Bingen and
ministering to people with herbal preparations received in visions. Many of these had magical overtone,
perhaps guided by Hexe's influence. In any case, today's theme is learning the art of weaving, "Hexes"
for physical, mental and spiritual health.

On the physical level take a natural object like a cut potato and rub it against an inflicted area. Bury the
potato to "bury" the malady and decompose it. Or carry a jet stone to absorb the problem, then cleanse
the rock in saltwater to wash the bas energy away. For mental well being, enjoy a soothing cup of mint
tea stirred countercockwise so tensions and negativity will wane. Or, carry a flourite stone with you
throughout the day to strengthen your mental powers. For spiritual health, sprinkle nutmeg-laden water
clockwise throughout your aura to empower your physic self. Or, carry a lapis or amethyst stone to draw
goddess centered thinking and action into your day.

Spell A Day -A Basic Kitchen Blessing

Spell A Day -A Basic Kitchen Blessing
Incense of the day: Eucalyptus

An ancient Rome, Consus, the god of the storedâ€"up harvest, was honored on this
day. This ancient idea of setting aside the harvest lives on in rural
America, where the “blizzard pantry” is taken quite seriously. Jams,
jellies, and canned vegetables are “put by” for winter use. Extra
necessities are also stockpiled in case of severe weather. As the Earth
rests now, take just a moment to bless your own kitchen. With a drop of
olive oil, trace a holy symbol such as a cross, on a cupboard or pantry
door. Here and there drop some whole cloves on the shelves. Cloves
purify, and they also deter ants. Then, take time to donate to a food
bank. Also, stock up on pet food and bird seed.

Prayer Bowls

Posted by: "Cher Chirichello" CHIC0411@YAHOO.COM   chic0411

Wed Dec 15, 2010 8:41 pm (PST)

Prayer Bowls
.
What is a prayer bowl? A Prayer bowl is used to listen to your prayers, wishes, and thoughts, and carry
them into the other dimensions (the astral). They can be used to make any room more spiritual, without
causing to much attention. They are good for the workplace, because to co-workers, it is just a decoration,
and for you, it is a magical tool. The feather would be one that means something to you, perhaps a feather
of your power animal, and a feather of a power animal that you relate to. The crystals can be anything, from
clear quartz for focusing energy, to hematite for healing. These things can be looked up in various books.
A Prayer bowl is a fairly simple object to make. Take a small bowl that you like, a feather that means
something to you, some crystals, and some dirt. Put the dirt into the bowl, put the crystals on the dirt,
and place a feather in it.

After it is put together, empower it to listen to your prayers. In a dim light room, preferably candle lit, gaze
into the feather. Concentrate on what this prayer bowl is going to do for you. Think about the bird that it came
from, the views of the world that it must have seen. Thank that bird for giving of itself so that you may have this
prayer bowl. Next, think about the crystals, and what they mean for you. Visualize them in there natural
environment, deep in the Earth, and thank them for coming to you for this prayer bowl. In the Americas, they
are known as "stone people".

After it is empowered, place it in an appropriate spot. I like to have mine near a window, so as they get a little
sun now and again. Also, the feather can hear the calls of the birds.
