The wonderful treasures of darkness.

As I look into the clear night sky as the lights of the stars starts shining brite. I started to notice how much more I'm able to see in the darkness.

As I close my eyes and open my mind, ears, nose and feelings I find I can see more slearly, than I can with my eyes open or with the lights turned on.

Within the darkness I can see by listening to life around me, I add the fragrance floating through the air, feeling the warmth and coolness of the air. I can't help but realize how much to our universe there is to discover.

I realize that darkness is the only wrapping paper big enough to cover the wonders waiting to be found. There are even lights to help us on our journey.

As I travel through the darkness. I meet up with the unknown. As I start talking with the unknown I start learning more about him. I find my desire to find out what's behind and beyond unknown. My heart starts beating faster than I ever thought it could or would.

As I explore deeper and deeper into the unknown. I find that the unknown as big as it seems, realy isn't as big as it seems. But the treasure it holds behind it, is so big that the wrapping paper of darkness barely covers this wonderful treasure.

The treasure is the "LIFE" that lives in the unknown, in the darkness, in universe on this planet. Life in all shapes, sizes, Colors, sounds, fragrances and voices.

With each rainbow that appears, the treasure at the end of it, is the new life starting their exploration of the unknown as it is before them.

The darkness shows me unlimited possibilities waiting to be explored. And the life[s] treasure to be found is in the lives who travel with me.

Thanks to all who shares this journey with me. Oh how beautiful darkness is!

Keep a warm smile in tour hearts! Chris

Sports: Breaking Records, Breaking Barriers

Super Bowl XLV has just become part of football history. Hopefully, your team won the contest! Although XLV is too recent to be featured in the Smithsonian's Sports Exhibit, prior athletes, football and other fields, are spotlighted on these pages. Here you can 'discover America's history, told through sports.' The site 'portrays athletes, focusing on their participation in significant events and the social contexts that influenced them. On and off the playing field, these undaunted individuals broke records for themselves and broke barriers for us all. They are the inspiration for future generations who will challenge the barriers that remain.' In keeping with 'Super Sunday,' do check out Terry Bradshaw's profile; Terry is the man who led the Steelers to 4 Super Bowl wins, 1974, 1975, 1979 and 1980 and at one point held the record for the 'most Super Bowl touchdown passes (9) and passing yards (932).'

Random Tidbits about the Internet

RANDOM TIDBITS

Animated character Homer Simpson’s e-mail address â€"
chunkylover53@aol.com â€" was revealed in the Simpsons'
episode The Dad Who Knew Too Little. Back in 2003, a
Simpsons writer used to reply to messages in-character
until the address became unmanageable due to sheer volume
of mail.

***

The term spam pre-dates e-mail as we know it, and has been
traced back to online role playing chat rooms from the ’80s
called MUDs. Generally, the term refers to any type of
abusive online behavior.

***

The first e-mail from space was sent in 1991. The crew of
STS-43 Atlantis used Apple’s early AppleLink software on a
Macintosh Portable to transmit the following: “Hello Earth!
Greetings from the STS-43 Crew. This is the first AppleLink
from space. Having a GREAT time, wish you were here...send
cryo and RCS! Hasta la vista, baby...we’ll be back!”

As of September 2010, Compete revealed that, based on the

dominates in the webmail service industry.. Hotmail comes

Valentine's Day by the Signs

Posted by: "Lady Nightshayde" LadyNightshayde9@aol.com   nightshayde99

Valentine's Day by the Signs

Does February 14 fill you with feelings of cheer or fear? Each Sun Sign has a different way of responding to this romantic holiday. Find out how your Sign handles this much-anticipated day of flowery poems, chocolate hearts and red roses.

Aries: You're determined to receive the most cards, candy and flowers. Who says sending roses to yourself doesn't count?
Taurus: A bouquet of dandelions, dime store chocolates and dinner at a fast food restaurant? Relax, it was just a bad dream!
Gemini: You make two dates for the night -- and then backup plans with your friends in case you decide to flake on your original plans.
Cancer: Ooh, there's nothing like candy heart art and lace doilies to get you going! Martha Stewart's got nothing on you.
Leo: You are displeased by the single red rose some admirer left on your windshield. Clearly you are worth at least a dozen!
Virgo: You refuse to share the box of chocolates you receive -- what if someone fingers them? What if someone sneezes on your roses?
Libra: You send valentines to everyone you know: your hairdresser, your fourth grade teacher, your manicurist, your manicurist's cousin … You don't want anyone to feel left out.
Scorpio: Why go out for a fancy dinner when you already have dessert waiting at home? Who knew that a Cupid costume could be so sexy?
Sagittarius: You can't commit to sending a card -- what if the recipient reads too much into it? You fake temporary amnesia to avoid acknowledging the holiday.
Capricorn: Lacy hearts and syrupy sentiments make you sneeze -- besides, nothing says love like a new electronic organizer!
Aquarius: Manufactured holidays aren't your cup of decaffeinated herbal tea, but consuming a few vegan chocolates doesn't make you a conformist, does it?
Pisces: You live for this stuff! The world would be such a better place if we could all just hold hands and share heart-shaped cookies every day.

Blessed Be,
Lady Nightshayde

Elder's Meditation of the Day

Posted by: "Lady Nightshayde" LadyNightshayde9@aol.com   nightshayde99

Elder's Meditation of the Day

"Also ask your heart to purify and cleanse this defect and harmful desire. Ask also the help of the inner father and mother. Every time we eliminate a defect, we build our soul, our inner temple. We ascend. like going up a stairway."

-- Willaru Huayata, QUECHUA NATION, PERU

The building blocks to knowledge and wisdom are constructed through the lessons of our character defects if we constructively review our conduct each day, asking where we are resentful, selfish, dishonest, or afraid. Remember, we need to review constructively, not destructively. Destructive review is when we ask, "what's the matter with me anyway." or "how could I be so stupid?" These question lead to morbid reflection or remorse and seriously affect our self esteem. In constructive review we ask, "what will I do next time?" With constructive review we progressively eliminate the defect and replace it with wisdom.

My Creator, allow me to have my defects because through them I gain in knowledge of Your will.

Wrap unscented purchased soap with cheesecloth, then sprinkle the wrapped
bar with a few drops of frankincense essential oil. Place the soap in an
airtight container for a month, then discard wrapping. You can decorate the
soap with silver or gold leaf applied in a random pattern. Dampen the soap
before applying metallic leaf! This makes a gorgeous gift!

Romance Tea

1 tablespoon grated gingerroot
7-10 cloves
2-3 cinnamon sticks
4-5 black peppercorns

Gently simmer these herbs in 2 cups of water for 20 minutes. Strain and

MOJO FOR LOVE

This spell is to attract love.

You need; 1 red cloth, red thread, rose petals, jasmine petals,
and 9 pumpkin seeds, some of your hair and toe nail clippings.
Do this spell during the waxing moon. Sew your cloth into a small
pouch (sachet), leaving the top open. While sewing chant the
following words or improvise attraction words out load;

"Silver Lady, Golden Lord, bring true love to me.
Bring me love, make it come, love be mine, harming none."

Keep chanting while adding your ingredients, thinking of your
desires coming true. Sew your sachet shut. Hold your sachet in
your writing hand. Visualize a beam of light coming from the
universe hitting your mojo. Then visualize your own energies
charging your mojo. Visualize beams of love, see the power
growing, then say;

"Attractive I will be, I am open to love,
True love will be mine, blessed from above.
Mojo of Love make attraction my power,
For now is the time now is the hour.
This I charge and so it is!"

Ask the God and Goddess to bless you with a mate,
thank them for their blessings you know are on the way.
Then carry or wear your mojo with you till you find your
mate.

PETALS OF LOVE

A small mirror and fresh flowers. They can be daisies, carnations, violets, lilacs or gardenias, but roses of any color are best. If you do use roses, remove the thorns from one of the stems. Buy or collect 7 or 8 stems of the chosen flower. If cutting them yourself, thank the plant for its sacrifice in any words or actions that you see fit. Remember-nature is a power source. Magicians respect it.

Place the flowers in a large vase or bowl. Nearby place a small mirror in a position so that you can see your face within it. Sit or kneel comfortably before the flowers. Remove 1 flower from the vase. Stroke it over your head, your hair, your ears. Move it up and down your cheek and chin. As you do this, open yourself to the loving energies the flower is radiating out to you.
Close your eyes and brush their lids lightly with the flowers. Say these words:
"I SEE LOVE"
Move the flowers lower. Smell its rich scent. Drink in its aroma. Let it fill your soul. Say: "I BREATHE LOVE"
Open your eyes. Move the flowers away from your head and above it. Say:
"I HOLD LOVE"
Lower the flower to your heart area. Stroke it up and down, soothing it, letting its energies melt into yours. Say:
"I FEEL LOVE"
Move it down to your stomach. Press it gently against your skin/clothing. Say:
"I NOURISH LOVE"
Still holding the flower in your hands before you, gaze at your reflection in the mirror. Say these words:
"LOVE IS BEFORE ME"
"LOVE IS BEHIND ME"
"LOVE IS BESIDE ME"
"LOVE IS ABOVE ME"
"LOVE IS BELOW ME"
"LOVE IS WITHIN ME"
"LOVE FLOWS FROM ME"
"LOVE COMES TO ME"
"I AM LOVED"

Place the flowers in a spot where you'll see them several times a day. If possible, wear or carry the flowers with you. When it begins to wilt, bury it in the earth, thanking it for its energies. Of Love.

Spell to Induce Lust

You'll need: ginseng (enchanted) , hibiscus (enchanted) , cinnamon - ground or whole (enchanted) and red candles.

Make an infusion of the ginseng and hibiscus. If you're using whole cinnamon sticks, stick them in the tea. If it's ground, sprinkle it on. Surround yourself with the (lit) red candles, and drink the tea. If you find it too bitter tasting, you can also add the tea to a bath.

SWEET BOTTLE SPELL

"In this sugar, we both stand back to back, yet hand to hand.
Change------name-------sour thoughts of me to sweet forgiving
thoughts, I plead"
Add water until jar is 3/4 full, say:" With this water I wash away all that keeps us now at bay. Sugar
water, I now pray, let forgiveness come my way."

To Ease an Unrequited Love

When the torment of a love unaccepted and unreturned weights heavily upon the
heart and soul, you may chose to purge it with fire. To start, kneel before
a blazing fire with a handful of dried vervain leaves. Toss the entire
handful into the blaze at once along with the words:

"Creature of fire, flames that roar. Purge me of pain, let it torment me no more.
Consume the hurt, that my soul is set free. As I will, so mote it be!"

As the fragrance of the herb penetrates the air, breathe it in deeply, and visualize
your entire being filling with peace and calm.~Gwydion O'Hara

A Love Spell Of A Gentler Sort

(Chant)
See me, beloved, though I fear your eyes.
Hear me, beloved, though I fear the sound.
Tell me, beloved, though I fear your voice.
Know me, beloved, though I fear your heart.

This is most definitely not a binding type of spell, although it does bring near you(as in physical location and general attention) the one you think you love at first, and anyone else you might love or who might love you. It will also give you confidence(if you don't have it) to speak to her(him). I am not certain, but it might also bring you to a truer love than the rest.~source unknown

Ritual for Letting Go
© 2001 Silvermuse

Needed: 1 Blue Candle
Lavender incense

Method:

Cast the Circle in Air and Spirit. This is done by lighting the incense with a wooden match, taking the incense
and drawing a Circle around yourself in its smoke. If you like you can say some words, such as:

"Hail Far Lady, Ruler of us all, Watch over me as I lay my Circle of Power. Hold me between the worlds and realms, in a place where there is not time and where magick is made." (Repeat for the God, using the same words just substituting Fair Lady for Great Hunter, and Ruler of us all for Father of us all).

Replace the incense in its holder. A good idea to catch the ash that falls off the incense during the ritual is to catch it is a sea shell, save the ash in this from all of your rituals and then let is go every Full Moon and make a wish as you do so.

Then, light the Blue candle, (again with a wooden match), and cast the circle with Spirit.

This time, take your index finger of your power hand, and retrace the Circle boundaries with your finger. It doesn't have to be exact
but try to make it as much the same as possible. You may wish to say no words, or use the same words again, or say these words.

"Hail Fair Goddess, Mother of all. Hail Great Hunter, Father of all. I invite you to meet with
me within my Circle of Power"

Now, centre yourself. You can do this by imagining a root coming out of where your tailbone is, and then going into the ground. Imagine that you are soaking up the energies of the Earth and giving Her your stresses and strains. Once you feel relaxed you can begin.

Enter into a meditative state. Once there visualize that which you want to get rid of. If it is a feeling, feel it. Tell the God and Goddess what you want to get rid of and why. If you are scared of being over heard then you can do this in your mind.

Then, when you have stated what you wish to loose, and still holding the visualization in your minds eye, Astral Project. You can do this by continuing to meditate and reaching a further state, and then imagining that you are entering a portal/door way. Open the door and find on the other side what you want. This could be a house, or fields, or a favourite place of yours. Even an enchanted wood is ok. These all exist if you want them too.

When you get here a person is waiting for you. You may not be able to make them out, (see any facial features), or you may be able to see them perfectly, either is fine. Go towards this person, sit down and have a talk with him/her. This is the Spirit of what you wish to say goodbye too.

When you are finished, say goodbye and anything else you may wish to say. Give him/her a hug if you wish too and then walk back towards the door. Open the door and visualize your room, you are walking towards your room and when you reach there open your eyes.

Say: As is my will so mote it be!

Extinguish any incense that you had burning. Close your Circle of Power by saying:

Hail Circle, I thank thee for protecting me now go and release me.

Thank the God and Goddess in your usual way. You can leave any candles burning for as long as you want but extinguish the blue candle. Do not use it for any other ritual but keep it and light it, (with a wooden match), any time you feel sad about this situation.

Extinguish the blue candle with a snuffer. If you don't again you could use a sea shell and place it over the flame. Try not to blow the flame out.

Earth's Commandments

Posted by: "Lady Nightshayde" LadyNightshayde9@aol.com   nightshayde99

Thu Feb 10, 2011 10:44 pm (PST)

Earth's Commandments

1.Thou shalt love and honor the Earth for it blesses thy life and governs thy survival.

2.Thou shalt keep each day sacred to the Earth and celebrate the turning of the seasons.

3.Thou shalt not hold thyself above other living things nor drive them to extinction.

4.Thou shalt give thanks for thy food to the creatures and plants that nourish thee.

5.Thou shalt not kill nor waste Earth's riches upon weapons of war.

6.Thou shalt not pursue profit at the Earth's expense but strive to restore Her damaged majesty.

7.Thou shalt not hide from thyself or others the consequences of thy actions upon the Earth.

8.Thou shalt consume material goods in moderation so all may share Earth's bounty.

9. Thou shall not worry, for worry is the most unproductive of all human activities.

10. Thou shall not be fearful, for most of the things we fear never come to pass.

11. Thou shall not cross bridges before you come to them, for no one yet has succeeded in accomplishing this.

12. Thou shall face each problem as it comes. You can only handle one at a time anyway.

13. Thou shall not take problems to bed with you, for they make very poor bedfellows.

14. Thou shall not borrow other people's problems. They can better care for them than you can.

15. Thou shall not try to relive yesterday for good or ill, it is forever gone. Concentrate on what is happening in your life and be happy now!

16. Thou shall be a good listener, for only when you listen do you hear ideas different from your own. It is hard to learn something new when you are talking, and some people do know more than you do.

17. Thou shall not become "bogged down" by frustration, for 90% of it is rooted in self-pity and will only interfere with positive action.

18. Thou shall count thy blessings, never overlooking the small ones, for a lot of small blessings add up to a big one.

Blessed Be,

We Are Stardust

We Are Stardust

During ancient times, people of various cultures believed that the
sky was made of stone. This idea is not as far-fetched as it may seem. The
earth itself is a large rock hurtling through space, and we can still see
stars, meteorites, comets, and other heavenly bodies falling from the sky to
earth. In fact, as the earth is in outer space along with the rest of the
luminaries and planets, can't we conclude that we are from outer space too?

Star Dust

Objects from space fall from the sky and shower the earth with
crystal stardust. When meteorites fall from the sky, they take on the
appearance of fire. Meteoric iron, or any part of the meteor, manifests the power
of lightning, or electrical fire from the sky. Wind and rain shift the
earth's covering, helping the stardust, or sky-fire, to seep underground,
where it is transformed into the higher mineral forms that go into the making of
the elements we call fire, water, air, and earth. These elements gather
around the fiery central core of space minerals to create life as we know
it. All around us, hidden within all creatures and things, is sky-fire in
earth form. The Sun, the Moon, the planets, and the stars, which are always
vibrating and moving, are bound together and made to appear static to the naked
eye by the sky-fire that lives in all of us--our consciousness.

Star Magic

Star magic, the mind-fire or conscious awareness that enables us to
be the intermediaries between earth and sky, is our gift from the heavens,
but we cannot live in harmony with nature until we learn to balance our star-
borne abilities. This is difficult when we are surrounded by the chaos and
flux on our planet--the endless round of war, disease, and death brought
about by the unfortunate condition of world affairs today. However, we must
remember that sky-fire develops at varying degrees and stages in all of us. When
we are awake to the magic of the stars within, we can move beyond the
appearance of limitation presented by the wily world of form and our straight-line
mental constructs. Our awareness can move mountains if we dare to believe.
We have within us the star-magic empowerment to heal the earth, but we cannot
do this until we are willing to heal ourselves first.

Earth Alchemy

Earth alchemy is a process whereby we can change our bodies and our
personalities to reflect the union that exists between the mind-body
connection and the cosmos. We can easily recognize this restorative
process in an ancient myth, such as when the Bone Goddess raises the "dead,"
a metaphor for those who are asleep or unconscious, in order to
recreate the cosmic human, a being who is a remembered whole. Mexican Indian
lore speaks of La Loba, the she-wolf goddess; Sumeria gives us the rejuvenated
Ishtar; Russia speaks of Baba Yaga the Witch; and Egypt provides us with
Isis, the goddess who restored Osiris to life. All of these earth goddesses are
alchemists, shamans, and healers, releasing a magical elixir that is made of
medicinal elements from the stars: air, the mind-fire or mediator;
fire, the personality or spirit healer, and water, the body or star
medicine.

Elemental Healers

Air, fire, and water are synonymous with the alchemical principles of
mercury (the mind), sulphur (the spirit), and salt (the body). When it comes
to recreating wholeness, all three alchemical principles or elements of
the body must work together. The mind should be vital, intelligent, and open
to new ideas. The spirit should be passionate, active, and filled with the
desire for life. The body should be flexible, mobile, and able to function
in its highest capacity.

Sky-fire requires a form to work in and through, so it is up to us to
provide our bodies with optimum care, compliments of the stars. When stars
explode, they release countless elemental healers, the trace minerals that are
necessary to sustain life.

Star Medicine

All the necessary star medicine minerals are found in fresh fruits
and vegetables, especially dark, leafy, bitter greens such as kale or
arugula. We can also find star medicine in crystals and gemstones, because
tissue salts are actually meteoric mineral crystals in a natural chemical
matrix.

One particular gemstone that comes as a gift from the stars is
moldavite, a silica or salt-based stone. It is colored a beautiful, translucent
olive green, reminiscent of deep, verdant earth. Moldavite is empowered
with electrical energy, and literally embodies fire from the sky because
it is a rare type of meteor formed over fifteen million years ago. We may
all benefit from this stone tonic as it quiets the senses and increases
our understanding of our relationship as mediators between heaven and
earth. Carry moldavite on your person, in a pocket, or a small pouch
fashioned from a natural substance, such as leather, silk, or cotton.

Finally, remember to embrace the entire cosmos while remembering
your unique wholeness, for we are stardust.

Valentine's Day by the Signs (resend)

Blessed Be,
