What are the Four Guardians used in Many cultures?

The Four Guardians

Many cultures have and call upon these guardians. The guardians are often related to specific elements and directions. These beings keep the universe stable, help us to remain connected during prayer, ritual, sacred space, ect. They are also the keepers of portals and other worlds. In many cultures and many traditions there are many different Guardians used, what guardians do you call upon and help make an understanding of the differences, help us share info on the many different Beings called...Is there any that we don't know of?

Life Transitions
The Death And Rebirth Of Self
Sometimes a part of us must die before another part can come to life.

Sometimes a part of us must die before another part can come to life. Even though this is a natural and necessary part of our growth, it is often painful or, if we don't realize what's happening, confusing and disorienting. In fact, confusion and disorientation are often the messengers that tell us a shift is taking place within us. These shifts happen throughout the lives of all humans, as we move from infancy to childhood to adolescence and beyond. With each transition from one phase to another, we find ourselves saying good-bye to an old friend, the identity that we formed in order to move through that particular time.

Sometimes we form these identities in relationships or jobs, and when we shift those areas of our life become unsettled. Usually, if we take the time to look into the changing surface of things, we will find that a shift is taking place within us. For example, we may go through one whole chapter of our lives creating a protective shell around ourselves because we need it in order to heal from some early trauma. One day, though, we may find ourselves feeling confined and restless, wanting to move outside the shelter we needed for so long; the new part of ourselves cannot be born within the confines of the shell our old self needed to survive.

We may feel a strange mixture of exhilaration and sadness as we say good-bye to a part of ourselves that is dying and make way for a whole new identity to emerge in its place. We may find inspiration in working with the image of an animal who molts or sheds in order to make way for new skin, fur, or feathers to emerge. For example, keeping a duck feather, or some other symbol of transformation, can remind us that death and rebirth are simply nature's way of evolving. We can surrender to this process, letting go of our past self with great love and gratitude, and welcoming the new with an open mind and heart, ready for our next phase of life.

Come Play Today With Sophia and Me…

Hello, I'm Miss Jeny. Everyday My daughter Sophia and I spend hours playing,
learning and crafting. We use flash cards, sing songs, make music, and learn how
to help the earth by making recycled crafts. To wind down, we watch the Meet the
Letters, Colors and Shapes or we read a Doctor Seuss Book. We both love to
listen to music and dance… sometimes we even make the music we dance to. On nice
days we go for a walk, and sometimes we play out in our very large beautiful
garden. In our garden, we plant flowers, herbs and vegetables. Sometimes we even
make a healthy salad for lunch with the food that we picked! We would love for
you to come learn and play with us in our home.

Dear Parents,

Being that I come from a very large family (12 nieces and nephews), I have been
caring for children since I was 13 years old. I used to nanny two boys every
summer from the time I was 14 till I was 17. I have two beautiful daughters of
my own, Lilith is 11 and Sophia is 2. Lilith spends every weekday in school now,
so at home it is just Sophia and I. Our living room has become a Fun play room
and little by little our very large fenced in back yard is becoming a kid's
dream play ground! I want what is best for my children, and the best care is one
that is in a loving home.I don't belive in just plopping a kid infront of the tv
all day, if your child were to come spend the day with us it would playing and
learning everyday!

When Lilith was a toddler I had to go out to work, and trying
to find reliable, affordable, loving care was very hard to do. I had to jump
from job to job doing it, but now that we have a comfortable happy home that we
own now, I can offer that kind of care for other children. I can send you a
typical schedule of what we do each day, I can offer your child healthy Organic
Vegetarian (or Vegan if you wish) Lunches and Snacks, As well as a safe, caring,
peaceful home for them to spend their days in so that you needn't worry.
I am certified in First Aid, CPR, and ServSafe Food Safety.

My Email address is craftiestcraftstress@yahoo.com if you are interested.

Thank You :)

Time to Crow Spell

Posted by: "Cher Chirichello" CHIC0411@YAHOO.COM   chic0411

Wed Feb 9, 2011 8:04 pm (PST)

Time to Crow Spell
Incense of the day: Coriander

Each year of the Chinese
calendar is represented by an animal. This is the year of the rooster,
the cocky king of the barnyard who exudes confidence. He doesn't just
walk, he struts, head held high and challenging anyone who seeks to
usurp his authority. At this transition time, wrap yourself in a spell
of confidence that no one will be able to ignore. Appearing confident
impresses your boss, and makes your family feel secure in your presence. Strangers will also believe you're a potent force they do not wish to
battle. If you look like you know what you're doing and where you're
going, would-be attackers will leave you alone to seek an easier mark.
Connect with this cocky confidence in a place where you will not be seen or heard for at least thirty minutes. Add a Chinese atmosphere to your
working area with various decorations. You will also need four sturdy
candles. If using candles is not practical, substitute pen lights,
flashlights, light sticks, or anything else nonflammable. Place one at
each directional point of your working area. Stand tall and visualize a
rooster—how he moves, how he sounds, how he knows he's at the top of the pecking order. When you feel your inner rooster, begin to move like
him. Strut, flap, cock your head, and crow! The rooster's caw is a cry
of leadership and success. Walk the circle as a rooster might if he was
if presenting himself to the elements. Light the candles as walk around. Keep in mind south is transformation and courage; west is intuition and the home of the deities; north is the stable earth and all her
creatures, and east is home of the rising Sun to which the rooster crows to announce start of each day.

A Home Blessing

A Home Blessing

A home blessing meditation for charging a room

Sit Straight with palms on lap, take deep breaths, relax, and move into a mental space
where you activate your intuitive senses. Imagine a cord of energy from
your spine connecting you to the Earth, and channel energy from the
Earth through it. Silently ask for divine protection, guidance, and
blessing.

Direct your
psychic sensing outward, and feel lines of force coming out of your
aura. Note where the strongest energy is (check out the floor, ceiling,
directions, etc). Note spots that feel empty or dead, note places that
feel full alive, focus on where you are sitting and how you feel at that particular spot.

Imagine a sphere
of light and love energy at your heart, feel it pulsing outward with
every breath. Feel the radiance increase with every breath, feel your
self as a star, continue to breathe deeply and send out the energy,
letting it pulsate in the room. When ready, start making power sounds
representing the love and light you are channeling; use it to amplify
the light you are weaving; and fill the room with the energy. Then shift focus to sending a probe out into the room, and note the differences in the quality of energy and how you feel about it. Repeat if necessary,
When done, feel the completeness of the work.

Egyptian Prayer to Hathor

Posted by: "Cher Chirichello" CHIC0411@YAHOO.COM   chic0411

Wed Feb 9, 2011 8:08 pm (PST)

I send up a prayer to my goddess Hathor.
I beg her to give me the one I desire.
When we are lovers, we will thank her.
Joyfully, we will thank her.
And my beloved will cry out to me:
Lover, lover, lover, in the whole vast world,
I am the one destined for you by the Goddess.
~Egyptian Prayer to Hathor

The Goddess intends you to be loved. You are splendid and unique. You are creation. In all of human history, no person exactly like you has ever lived and breathed. Every cell of your body, every pattern in your thoughtful mind, is a new part of this universe. How can you ever doubt that you deserve much, much love?

And how could you ever doubt that you were meant to give love? Each person you meet is, like you, a worthy singularity. The Goddess intends you to love. Meet each with love, and accept nothing less in return. Loving yourself as a irreplaceable part of the universe, you can then meet others with the same spirit. And then, from this myriad of shining possibilities, a lover will emerge to charm and delight you.

Love is a gift. It is also your birthright. In the name of the goddess, reach out and claim it.
