Have you ever noticed as a reader; how readings will run in streaks, and
those readings often speak to a lesson you need to learn yourself. Yes
the universe is often as subtle as a Clue-X-Four; for the last 6 months
the lesson that comes up time and again in my readings concerns
experiance; I find this line recurring in my posts to various Q's;
If the Tarot has Taught me anything it is we too often give up on
opportunities in the present, for fear of repeating the past. Karma is
Quite real, I see it all the time in the cards; the world really does
give us the opportunity time and again to repeat our mistakes, but also
to make good on what those mistakes taught us.
But thats the trick isn't it; just where lies the balance between
approaching life with Innocence, or Re-newed Innocence, and just being a
damn fool who never learns from their past mistakes; where and when is
that fear of repeating the past justified, and where or when are we
recoiling from the shadows of the past. For me just now this is more
than an academic question, as I will before the year is out be seeking a
new position; as my company will soon eliminate my current one; and I
will certainly be faced with the oppertunity that will either will allow
me to repeat, or trancend one of the worst mistakes of my life. I can't
say I look joyfully at the breach, with a heart full of hope for the
glory on the otherside; but if only by repition Nan, seems to be saying,
don't be afraid of the shadows of your own path; even as she shows me
the shadows in the paths of others. Blessings, BB.

Hi Q&&&

My usual approach to a General reading, one that does not have a really
sharp focus is to pull a Grandmothers Spread, to get your general
energy, followed by 3 card or other spreads to get answers to specific
Questions, that the first pull might bring to mind. Before we begin, Let
me say if the reading feels on consider it, but if it does not put it
aside without fretting it.

Grandmother's Spread, Renie Wiley's Russian Grandmother,
As presented in Power Tarot/ Positions Modified by BB.

It actually a rather interesting spread of cards,
The first Tableau, 7 of Swords, Priestess, King of Swords; could apply
to almost anyone at the moment they loose some part of their innocence.
We see the Priestess, Young, Lovely, perhaps a bit to attached to the
Moon; Looking at life through innocent eyes, but something is stolen
from her (7 of Swords) and she learns a harsh lesson, that trust is
sometimes answered with betrayal, this represents a crossing (6 of
Swords) and a change (Death) that we all must face in our lives, but I
see you making some peace with this moment. (4 of Swords.) Actually
given the 6-Death-4 of Swords Set, I wonder if there was not a physical
Death involved; if it was not a person taken too soon from your young
life.

In any event something of that moment haunts you now and echoes in your
present.

The Lovers, 7 of Wands, 4 of Pents set could speak to a relationship
that has grown tired. We start with the lover full of opportunity and
hope, but in time we move on to the 7 of Wands, where in one party feels
locked out by the other, we see them trying to breakthrough, reach past
the barriers that have grown between them and their partner in the
lovers card. finally we reach the 4 of Pents, "The Miser" as I call him,
the card that speaks to a person that does not know when or how to let
go, but with the Ace of Cups, New Opportunities underlying. Which is
interesting. Again with the 7 of Wands, there is obstruction, 7 of
Wands, but also Balance 2 of Pents; and the Lovers/ 8 of Swords - The
Lovers speaking of a couple coming together, the 8 of Swords, our own
inner Barriers that Isolate us from others, and our potential in our
lives.

And we return to the Past Tableau, and the Issues of Trust it raises for
a moment.
Given the Rising cards, and the outcome cards specifically. It seems to
me you have an opportunity to rebirth both, Ace of Wands and Ace of
Pents speaking to your Career, and the King of Cups/Ace of Cups speaking
to your relationship. The Question is can you trust yourself and your
moment.

Let me share something with you, that it took me a very long time to
learn myself.
1. Experience is largely the sum of our Mistakes, we do something wrong,
and we learn not to do "That" or at least do it better. but 2.
Experience is often a terrible guide to the Present, while it may teach
us what we should have done in the past, we do not live in the past, and
if the Tarot has Taught me anything it is we too often give up on
opportunities in the present, for fear of repeating the past. Karma is
Quite real, I see it all the time in the cards; the world really does
give us the opportunity time and again to repeat our mistakes, but also
to make good on what those mistakes taught us.

I suspect you are in such a moment now, In the First Tableau we see the
Priestess, Servant of the Moon; and you have learned not to trust her.
In the Outcome we she the Moon, and invitation to embrace your
priestess, to embrace the Moon, and the Intuitive, illogical, side she
represents; but to be guided by ones intuition requires a measure of
trust in that intuition.

There are burdens on this course (10 of Wands) I'm not promising you a
rose garden here, but I very much suspect you are facing a choice that
divides your heart, (Cups) and your Head (Swords) and I suggest in this
moment your heart is your true guide. Blessings, BB.

A short time later the Q included this in her reply: It was funny
because the reading seemed slightly all over the place…but that was
a result of my present life and the generality of my question (career
and relationship, but relationship encompassed like three different
aspects of things I'm working on about myself). So although it was
"all over the place," it covered all the different aspects and I
understood it. The story/advice at the end really `pulled it all
together' and gave it an outcome…a nice bow tied around
everything.

On Sending our Members "Invitations" to Other Groups:

PLEASE NOTE:

It is against the rules of many Groups to use their membership lists to "mine" names for other Groups -- including "social networking" Groups -- and this includes Witch Essentials.

You would be wise to ASK PERMISSION of Group Owners or Moderators, BEFORE sending any "invitations" to other groups, to them or their members.

Once more, please be reminded that Yahoo FORBIDS ITS MEMBERS to belong to "Grouply":

Warning about Grouply.Com

You will not be allowed to join this group with a 'grouply' email
account.

This is a new site which advertises they can make accessing your
groups faster and easier. Most of us are too seasoned to fall for
something like this, but I am posting this as CYA.

This is what happens when you join:

"First, when a member joins, it automatically changes their primary
email address for the groups, giveing them a @grouply.com extension.
This is being done unaware to those who are joining.

Secondly, members who join the grouply website are having to give
their member ID and password. This opens up a security issue for
those members.

Thirdly, once a member joins grouply, it opens access to the files
and posts of each group to the grouply website. Grouply staff can
then access these files. If they get hacked, then it opens the doors
to the groups getting hacked as well. It has also been reported that
it's generating a lot of spam already."

In other words, information from a group can be made accessable to
everyone, and massive amounts of spam with your email address can be
generated.

The following information tells you the steps which needed to be taken
if someone has joined Grouply.com

IDENTIFY THEFT AT GROUPLY.COM

There is a message going out to different Yahoo Groups advertising
and suggesting that you join a new group called GROUPLY. This group
claims to help manage all your Yahoo groups and you will get a
summary, at the end of the day, telling you what is going on in all
your groups.

IF YOU JOIN THIS GROUP, they use your Yahoo ID and password to
post "mass mailings" (can be junk, can be porno) and send them to
anyone, and since it's YOUR ID they are using, others will think it
is coming from you.

For instance, you could get an email CLAIMING that it came
from "emagic2" Yahoo group and it really is not from this group. I
could get an email, with this mass mailing, claiming it came from me,
and it wouldn't have been from me.

Again, IF YOU HAVE JOINED THIS GROUP called "GROUPLY" IMMEDIATELY
leave Grouply. Then go into your account at:
http://groups. yahoo.com/ mygroups and change your password. Some
groups have posted that this will help. Unsubbing from that group
won't make a difference (but I think you will want to) so change your
Yahoo Password.

By joining this group you have also exposed all your groups, group
members and group leaders to hacking of their emails and group
information.

Because of this problem, all members with a email grouply.com are
being removed from the affected groups. This is the only way to
protect all the members. This is how Identity theft gets going.
They now have your real email, your yahoo emails, any emails listed
in your yahoo group and can mail as you in and out of the yahoo
groups.

I hope you understand what is happening and will take precautions to
protect your Yahoo ID.
