Perceiving the Infinite
Using Your Psychic Gifts
People often have difficulty accepting that they have been blessed with psychic abilities.

Psychic experiences are a natural part of our everyday lives. People often have difficulty accepting that they have been blessed with psychic abilities because without a frame of reference it is almost impossible to identify an extrasensory experience and to distinguish psychic sights, sounds, and sensations from the projects of the unconscious mind. To some extent, every human being on the planet is clairvoyant, clairaudient, and clairsentient, although most people discover that they are naturally adept at one more than the others. When you trust in and take steps to hone your innate clairvoyance, clairaudience, and clairsentience, you will enter a new realm of being in which the universe, your higher self, and your spirit guides lovingly conduct you toward a more aware existence.

Clairvoyance, or clear seeing, is the ability to see with the mind's eye. An individual who has honed their clairvoyant abilities may be able to see in their mind's eye events in a remote location; to witness incidents that have yet to occur; or to perceive shapes, colors, and other images that are physically invisible. Clairaudience, which means clear listening, is the ability to hear sounds not physically audible. A person with the gift of clairaudience perceives psychic information as auditory resonance and may hear angelic voices, music, or other sounds. A clairsentient, or clear feeling, individual is able to sense physical, emotional, and spiritual energy in the form of seemingly unearthly scents, touches, and movements. Each of these psychic abilities can manifest themselves within us voluntarily or involuntarily. It is natural for us to have these abilities; we need only practice.

Developing your psychic talents is a matter of releasing your fear of seeing, hearing, or feeling inexplicable or disquieting stimulus. Before you attempt to consciously tap into your gifts, ground yourself to anchor your mind in the present to disconnect from any involuntary psychic experiences you may be having. Concentrate on your intuitive responses to the world around you and notice any sights, sounds, or feelings that enter your mind. If you trust your perceptions, you'll discover that each psychic impression you receive will be in some way relevant to your experience容ven when that relevance may not be immediately recognizable.

Astrology Forecast - Mercury
Retrograde

Scroll down for your sun sign or rising sign

Aries

Mercury
going retrograde on Thursday could cause complications in holiday plans. Double
check schedules and information if you are traveling. You may want to bring
along reading material, an mp3 player, or other forms of entertainment in case there
are flight delays. If you're driving, give yourself plenty of time to reach
your destination in case you encounter traffic jams.

The eclipse
in Sagittarius on Friday encourages traveling or higher education for the next
six months. Now is a great time to research the perfect vacation or seek out
the right college or University. If you're in business, use this cosmic energy
to launch a PR campaign, social networking, and getting your message out to the
public.

Taurus

This week
Mercury's retrograde could cause unforeseen changes in holiday plans. It's best
to go with the flow. Miscommunications are likely; so don't take anything for
granted. If you're cooking for Thanksgiving, make sure you check expiration
dates while shopping and save receipts in case you need to return an item.

The eclipse
in your eighth house of finances on Friday reveals new opportunities to receive
financial backing over the next year. Whether you need cash for buying a home, renovations
or going back to school, you'll be able to have the cash to make your dream
come true. Just make sure to read the small print.

Gemini

Your ruling
planet goes retrograde this week in your relationship sector, giving rise to
personal misunderstandings. Speak slowly and choose your words carefully. Holiday
plans could be influenced by delayed communications, or travel glitches.

You may
find some bargains or sale items, if you're shopping on Black Friday, but try
to avoid making major purchases until after December 14th. If you're
buying gifts, double check that you have the right size information. It's too
easy to be confused, so know the facts.

The eclipse
in your seventh house brings love, collaborations, or partnerships. A special
someone will enhance your life in unexpected ways.

Cancer

Mercury's
retrograde on Thanksgiving may add confusion to making choices while at the
holiday dinner table. Plus Venus in your health sector may make it too easy to
overindulge in extra calories. Be careful, if you have too much of a good
thing, for you'll be paying the consequences the rest of the week-end.

The Eclipse
on Friday highlights your work life and day-to-day routine, bringing you new
projects and co-workers to help you increase your productivity. Also, it will
help you address well-being issues. You can have a breakthrough in your vitality
and fitness by adapting preventative measures and finding new ways to care for
yourself.

Leo

On
Thanksgiving your fifth house of amusement and romance is highly aspected.  However, Mercury's retrograde is known for
impacting the way we think. Under this influence you'll be having so much fun it's
too easy to make bad decisions, or
become forgetful and lose things.

You may
hear from a lover from the past. If you still have feelings, you might try for
reconciliation. If the thrill is gone you can find resolution on a deeper
level.

If you're single, the eclipse
could bring you the partner you've been waiting for. Be aware of chance
encounters, for love is in your destiny.

Virgo

Your ruling
planet goes retrograde on Thursday, so be sensitive to the feelings of other's
when communicating. Thinking before you speak can prevent arguments and
Thanksgiving disasters. It's best to avoid heated debates or hot topics like
money, sex or politics at the dinner table. Holiday plans could be impacted by
misinformation or misunderstandings.

If you plan
on shipping holiday gifts, you may want to take out insurance so that delivery
is guaranteed. Make sure you keep a record of tracking numbers. You're always
organized so that shouldn't be a problem.
The eclipse brings new opportunities
for a move or a big renovation project.

Libra

As the week
begins, make sure your car is tuned-up and running properly to avoid
breakdowns. Pay attention to the gas gauge and other operating functions if
you're planning on driving on Thanksgiving, when Mercury goes retrograde.

The
retrograde period for the next month also reveals areas where you need to let
go of outdated beliefs and think differently. Whether it's watching an
experimental film or an avant-guard performance, use the holiday weekend to
help you expand your mind.
The eclipse brings news
from siblings and other family members who you've been out of touch with.
They'll be playing a more active role in your life now and in weeks ahead

Scorpio

Mercury
retrograde on Thanksgiving highlights your second house for the next three
weeks. This aspect may make you forgetful or distracted, so mind against losing
things.
It is not wise to make
important choices regarding money during this period, since it's likely that misinformation,
or careless thinking will cloud such decisions. So avoid making major purchases
until December 14th.
Unresolved financial issues from the past will return and
demand to be dealt with. Payments
due to you may be delayed.

Use this
transit to take stock of what you have. Note what things you have that need to
be fixed and take them to be repaired.

Sagittarius

You have a lot happening in
your life, as opportunities have zoomed ahead at full speed, recently. However,
with Mercury going retrograde on Thursday, and the eclipse on Friday, Thanksgiving
plans might not work out the way you expect this week.

It's best to not to make
proposals or announce decisions right now. Pushing forward won't work. Instead, wait and be patient. Take action after December 14th when things are more settled. A promising new career opening may appear, but don't give
your commitment until next month.

The eclipse in your sign on November 25th helps you to align your life around your deepest goals and values.

Capricorn

Detours, and delays may
interfere with Thanksgiving get-togethers. Be prepared to place important
matters on hold as you resolve issues from the past. You've been operating at high
speed, so slowing down may occur as a welcomed rest.
The eclipse on November 25
occurs in your twelfth house of confidential matters bringing secrets out in
the open. Seek out therapists and councilors to talk to regarding matters that
have been troubling you. If you're willing to confront the  truth, you can gain many insights and
progress on your soul's evolutionary journey. Guidance also comes through
meditation and dreams.
Aquarius
Delays can
benefit you for the next 3 weeks as Mercury turns retrograde on Thanksgiving, helping you size up people and situations. By December 14th you'll
know who and what you can rely on.

Joint projects or ventures could have you depending on
another's schedule. Tread carefully with those who may be sensitive or more
guarded. However, your intuition is working well and you can trust your gut instincts
to make decisions.
The eclipse in your
friendship sector inspires you to plan holiday get-togethers. Your calendar
will be filled with opportunities to make a difference You may need to say
goodbye to people who have outlived their purpose.

Pisces
The week begins with you
taking center stage, giving you a taste of future developments in your career.
Rethink how you want to be seen by others. Hard
work you did in the past will boost you to a new post in the public eye. Be
open to receiving publicity.
Holiday get-togethers bring a welcome relief from work
issues.
The eclipse highlights your
tenth house rewarding your efforts and bringing you acknowledgement for your
achievements. Your efforts will pay off by attracting new opportunities and connections that seem to come out of the blue. It is important to follow
up quickly. Perfect your communication skills.

Shop Small Saturday and Gift Ideas, Butler NJ

Tue Nov 22, 2011 10:04 am (PST)

November 22, 2011

Dear Cher,

Are you prepared for Turkey Day?  Perhaps you're cooking, or traveling to enjoy the day with family and friends.  This is the official beginning of the most stressful season.  Remember to breathe deeply (especially calming Lavender oil) and think before you speak when that relative says something that sets your teeth on edge.  You'll thank yourself later that you did, and hopefully you can laugh about it on the way home.  Good Luck, we all need it, and be sure to check out the quick spell to the right. LOL

For the best selection, please don't wait till the last moment this holiday season.  We are all feeling the pinch of these tough economic times and I will not be ordering as often during the season as I have in the past.  If there's something you're interested in purchasing, do it sooner rather than later so you can be assured you get the item you wish.

Lay-away is available again for your holiday purchases.  Just put down a 50% deposit on your items and you can pay down the balance a little at a time.  Items must be paid for in-full and picked up by December 20 or you will forfeit your deposit and your items (you cannot make any changes once you've picked out your gifts).  All your selections will be wrapped and ready for you to affix your name tags, or bring in the name tags and we'll complete the job for you.

Once again, SoulJourney will be participating in American Express's Shop Small Saturday on November 26.  All you have to do is register your card, spend $25 in all the small businesses you want to support and you'll be eligible for a $25 statement credit.  Enjoy special in-store offers and refreshments that day, and you don't even have to present an AmEx card to benefit!  Just watch for the bright posted signs in the store.

Beginning on November 28, SoulJourney will be open on Mondays for the holiday season for your convenience.

Looking forward to seeing you soon, and wishing you and yours a very happy and healthy Turkey Day!

Mitakuye Oyasin,
Sandi

Stress Banishing
with thanks to Diana Rajchel
It's only normal to look at the coming Yule season with a sense of dread and an intense desire for aspirin.  The holidays consistently poll as the most stressful time of year.  Rather than letting family squabbles and work rushes make you crazy, take the bite out of stress with this small spell.  Boil yourself some jasmine tea.  Allow it to steep until the tea glows with a rich honey-gold.  Inhale the jasmine-scented steam, and allow the scent to fill you while you concentrate on breathing the jasmine into the areas of your body that carry the most tension.  Once you feel your body releasing that tension, drink the tea,
savoring each sip.  Then go out and face the crazy situation at hand, carrying the calm of the jasmine tea with you.

Also, let's look at why it's important to exercise caution when dealing with holiday charities, we're talking about Santeria, and a profile of Rick Perry and how his faith influences his policy decisions. Officers of Avalon Statement on Occupy Movement

Peter Dybing and the Officers of Avalon have released a statement regarding incidents at Occupy protests involving police officers. You can read it here on the group's Facebook page, but since I'm well aware that not all of our readers play on the Book of Faces, I'm going to report it in its entirety, because I think it's a powerful statement that needs to be seen by the whole Pagan community ... In God We Trust on GA Plates?

Here's an interesting one out of Georgia - so if you live there, pay attention. Apparently a requirement that all of Georgia's license plates read "In God We Trust" was one of the proposed bills filed this week. Tuesday was the first day state lawmakers could submit proposed legislation in anticipation of next year's session. Sen. Bill Heath sponsored the bill, which was in response to an issue that came up last year ... Read Full Article

James Arthur Ray: Two Years in Jail

Self-help guru James Arthur Ray, who was found guilty this summer of three counts of negligent homicide, has been sentenced to two years in prison for his role in the deaths of Kirby Brown, James Shore, and Liz Neuman. The three died during one of Ray's Spiritual Warrior retreats near Sedona in October 2009. Prosecutors had sought three three-year sentences for Ray, which would have been the maximum ... Be Cautious About Charity Groups

As the winter holidays approach, I think it's a good time to post a quick cautionary reminder. Many of us in the Pagan and Wiccan communities try to do good things for other people, but sadly, there can be folks out there who will take advantage of that goodwill. If you're approached by someone who claims to be from a charitable organization, please be sure to do your homework before handing over any money. Remember that groups which are incorporated as a 5013C have to follow certain rules and regulations, so if ... Read Full Article

Introduction to Wicca: Week 1: Introduction - What is Wicca?

Posted by: "Cher Chirichello" CHIC0411@YAHOO.COM   chic0411

Tue Nov 22, 2011 10:36 am (PST)

Introduction to Wicca

Week 1: Introduction - What is Wicca?
From Patti Wigington, your Guide to Paganism / Wicca
Welcome to our 13-week Introduction to Wicca e-course! We've got a lot of information to cover, but by the time you're all done, you should have a good, solid foundation to build your future studies on. Each lesson will feature four or five topics that you should read and study. Don't just skim over them -- read them thoroughly, and make notes on the points that jump out at you. Take your time when you're going though them, and if you need to, bookmark them to read later.
For our first class, we're going to talk a little bit about just what Wicca really is. We'll look at the differences between Wicca, witchcraft, and Paganism (because they really ARE different), as well as the basic concepts of Wicca. We'll also talk about different interpretations of the Threefold Law, one of the most common tenets of modern Pagan religions. Finally, we'll look at some of the most frequently asked questions we see here on Pagan/Wiccan About.com's site.
Again, I encourage you to take your time. Read over these and -- even more importantly -- THINK about what you've read. If there's something you disagree with, or that doesn't make sense to you, that's okay, because it gives you something else to research and learn about later on.
Differences Between Wicca, Witchcraft, and Paganism

Can you be a Pagan without being Wiccan? Is it possible to be Wiccan but not be a witch? How come some Pagans are Wiccans but others aren't? Well, believe it or not, the three terms really are very different. Witch, Wiccan, or Pagan -- how you identify yourself will depend on not only your practices but your beliefs. Read on to figure out what it is that separates witches, Wiccans and Pagans, and why it matters.

Basic Principles and Concepts of Wicca

There are many misconceptions out there about Wicca and modern Paganism, so first, let's talk a little about what it is that Wiccans believe. Although there are many different traditions of Wicca (or NeoWicca), there are several common concepts shared between them. You'll find that typical Wiccan groups have more in common than they have differences. Here's where we're talking about what it is Wiccans generally believe and practice. We'll also address the issue of what Wicca is NOT.

Ten Things to Know About Wicca

In addition to the basic principles and concepts of Wicca, as we discussed above, there are also some other issues you should be aware of. Most of these are not Official Sacred Tenets of Wicca, but in fact simple common sense rules that you should be aware of.

The Threefold Law

When you first begin studying Wicca, you'll probably hear a lot about the Threefold Law, sometimes called the Law of Threefold Return or the Rule of Three. Many commercially available Wicca books include much emphasis on the Threefold Law. However, few of them encourage readers to stop and think about what exactly the Threefold Law means to you personally. After all, it's important to understand exactly WHY you're following a rule, if you do in fact decide to follow it. Let's talk about some of the different interpretations of the Rule of Three.

FAQ: I'm New to Wicca... Now What?

That's an excellent question, and one that comes up frequently. Because there's no Official Wiccan Welcome Packet, it's kind of hard to figure out where you're going, if you don't know exactly what the path is. That's part of the goal of this class, in fact, to help you figure out what's next. For some other ideas on how to get started, be sure to read this FAQ.

Other Pagan/Wiccan FAQs

Got questions, but feel silly asking them? That's okay -- because they've probably been asked already, by someone else. Check out our list of the most common questions that have come through so far, and you'll get a chance to look over answers to other people's questions.

Next Week: Read, Study, Learn and Grow

Next week's lesson is called "Read, Study, Learn and Grow," and that's when we'll discuss some of the most valuable reading material and information available to modern Pagans and Wiccans. See you then, and in the meantime, have a magical week!

Alternative History/Things Out of Place/ETs in Ancient Greece & Chin

Posted by: "Karen Tate" karentate108@ca.rr.com   specialjourn

Tue Nov 22, 2011 4:19 pm (PST)

Greetings Fans, Friends and Family,

_*THIS WEEK *__*on Voices of the Sacred Feminine ... a bit off our usual
topic, but fun & informative nonetheless!*_

Alternative history, things and artifacts found that are clearly out of
place according traditional history are my topic with Lamont Wood,
author of Out of Place in Time and Space.

In the second part of the show, Philip Coppens, editor of Erich von
Daniken's new book, Odyssey of the Gods, discusses not just that, but
his book, The Ancient Alien Question. Why are we still asking questions
about ET's? Have you heard about the Chinese Roswell? Are today's gods
just ancient aliens? And the tantalizing ET connection that ties
together archaeological evidence and the 2012 phenomenon.

Goddess of The Day - CALLIOPE  Tellabration (Connecticut)

Goddess of The Day - CALLIOPE
Tellabration (Connecticut)

Themes: Arts; Communication; History.
Symbols: Stories; Books; Pens and Pencils; Quill.

About Calliope:A member of the Thracian muses, Calliope is the goddess of epic
poetry and
eloquence, whose symbol is that of a stylus and tablets. Greek
stories claim that this goddess
is the mother of all poets and musicians.

To Do Today:This national storytelling festival began in 1988 as a
way of preserving and
perpetuating oral traditions and the bardic art of telling
"tall tales" and good stories, which
Calliope inspires. Today she joins our celebration to motivate
creativity in all areas of our lives,
especially written and spoken words.

In today's hurry-up world we often forget how powerful a word or
phrase can be. To honor this
goddess, slow down a little all day long, and really consider
how you're communicating your ideas.
As the old saying goes, be sure your brain is in gear before
shifting your tongue so high. During
those moments of contemplation, Calliope will flow through you
and give you the words you need.
During a break, take out a beloved book and start reading
it again. Calliope will help you find something
new and wonderful in those pages to inspire you even further in
any task you undertake today. And
perhaps go out and buy yourself a special pen and pencil
and bless them to use for important missives.

Pawnee Song To The Corn Mother

Posted by: "Cher Chirichello" CHIC0411@YAHOO.COM   chic0411

Tue Nov 22, 2011 7:41 pm (PST)

I was asleep and dreaming
when I saw someone approach:
I had never seen her before,
but I knew her instantly.
How could I not know our mother?
She spoke to me, and I awoke.
I rose, thinking of her words.
I wanted to offer tobacco.
And so I did: I gave Atira
the sweet smoke fragrance.
~Pawnee Song To The Corn Mother

The act of offering something to the gods is no longer an
automatic part of our lives today. We are
encouraged, in fact, to become more aware of our own needs,
and to stop offering to others what
we need for ourselves. Ancient wisdom reminds us, however, of
the importance of freely offering part
of what we have. There are many stories of people who offered
the gods their last crust of bread, only
to find themselves enriched beyond measure for the experience.
But such sacrifice requires discernment.
It is possible to give away our energy and our power to others
who only want to see us disempowered.
When you feel you should sacrifice yourself, ask yourself
whether the energy will be held hostage by
a greedy receiver or whether it will return to the ultimate
source from which it came. Learning how
neither to withhold nor to extravagantly waste is an important
spiritual lesson.
