Hello all. (: I have been in this group for quite awhile. I haven't been active as far as posting or replying, but I have read everything thats gone through. I have been battling eating disorders as well as a still-born, but I've found many people along this road that have kept my spirits up.
I'm glad to be back, and I hope everyone has been atleast decent if not good. If you need energy or prayers, just let me know. (: Blessed be!

Beltane Spell
Beltane, also spelled Beltaine, in the new Celtic calendar marks the end of the first half of the year and the beginning of the summer— the end of the year's dark half and the beginning of the light half. It is dedicated to Belenos, the god of light and healing who in modern British celebrations takes the form of the Green Man—a man with green leaves covering his face and body. The name Beltane means "fire of Bel" or "bright fire." It is believed that the god of light has to be rescued from the god of death or from an earth giant that has kept him prisoner for six months. To accomplish this, in some areas a hawthorn tree, representing the giant, is cut down and used as a maypole. Dancing around the maypole clockwise brings luck throughout the summer. In ancient times, two fires containing nine sacred woods were lit for Belenos. The cattle were passed between the fires to purify and protect them. Likewise people would jump over the fire for luck. Beltane is essentially a celebration of fertility. At this time, sexual activity is encouraged, and spice cakes, called barm brack in Irish and bannock in Scottish, are cooked and eaten. As we are between the dark and the light now, the veil between this world and the world of the spirit is thin. It is an excellent time for divination. If you have already received a six-month prediction from the tarot on Halloween, then it is now time to renew your outlook for the next six months. Also, do not forget to leave some barm brack on the doorstep over night for the fairies. If you treat them kindly, you will be assured that they will be kind to you through the year.

Aging Gracefully
As we cultivate our life, our beauty becomes as much about what we are creating and doing as it is about our appearance.
We tend to associate youth with beauty, but the truth is that beauty transcends every age. Just as a deciduous tree is stunning in all its stages庸rom its full leafy green in the summer to its naked skeleton during winter and everything in between揺uman beings are beautiful throughout their life spans.
The early years of our lives tend to be about learning and experiencing as much as we possibly can. We move through the world like sponges, absorbing the ideas of other people and the world. Like a tree in spring, we are waking up to the world. In this youthful phase of life, our physical strength, youth, and beauty help open doors and attract attention. Gradually, we begin to use the information we have gathered to form ideas and opinions of our own. As we cultivate our philosophy about life, our beauty becomes as much about what we are saying, doing, and creating as it is about our appearance. Like a tree in summer, we become full, expressive, beautiful, and productive.
When the time comes for us to let go of the creations of our middle lives, we are like a tree in autumn dropping leaves, as we release our past attachments and preparing for a new phase of growth. The children move on, and careers shift or end. The lines on our faces, the stretch marks, and the grey hairs are beautiful testaments to the fullness of our experience. In the winter of our lives, we become stripped down to our essence like a tree. We may become more radiant than ever at this stage, because our inner light shines brighter through our eyes as time passes. Beauty at this age comes from the very core of our being熔ur essence. This essence is a reminder that there is nothing to fear in growing older and that there is a kind of beauty that comes only after one has spent many years on earth.

Protection Magic

Protection Magic
In many magical traditions, workings can be done to ensure protection of home, property, and people. There are a number of simple ways you can do protection workings.
Make an Onion Braid protection charm to hang in your home to protect those who live there.
Find pieces of sharp iron, such as old nails or railroad spikes. Pound them into the ground around the perimeter of your property to keep harmful people out. Place an iron dagger beneath your pillow to prevent attack while you sleep.
Use crystals or stones with magical properties, such as Hematite to create a barrier around your home. Put a piece of Hematite at each outside corner of the house.
Make a magical poppet to protect yourself or a loved on.
Brew up some Protection Oil, and anoint yourself with it. This will keep you safe from psychic or magical attacks.
Plant herbs with protective properties, such as violet, thistle, honeysuckle, or fennel around your home. When they bloom, harvest them and hang them up to dry. Use the dried herbs in protective sachets or incense.
Hang an iron horseshoe, open end facing down, to keep evil spirits out of your home. A horseshoe found along the side of a road was particularly powerful, and was known to provide protection against disease.
In western Scotland, it was once popular to make a small cross of rowan twigs and bind them together with red string. Hanging this in the window or over a door will keep negative influences from crossing the threshold.
