The Covenstead Career Coven Circle

Posted by: "Suzanne Naseby" suzanne@wytchyways.com   suzanne_wytchyways

Tue Apr 12, 2011 2:13 pm (PDT)

This week at The Covenstead is a Career Coven Circle ... one of the
principals of a Career Coven is to support each other in our
endeavours to follow pagan/wiccan ethics. For many The Wiccan Rede is
seen as a (or THE) pagan/wiccan guideline for ethics ... "An ye harm
none, do what ye will" has become a wytchy motto, but the rede is much
more than that.

At this next Covenstead Career Coven we will discuss The Wiccan Rede
and how we can meld these principals to the corporate, business and
the academic worlds most of us must work in.

When we sit in circle we are all equal :)

DATE: Friday 15th of April
TIME: 7:30pm - 9:30pm
COST: $20 or $15 concession- correct change please
BRING: a cushion to sit on, your journal and pen and, if you like, a
small something to share when we have our cup of tea
VENUE: Dickson Space | 35 - 39 Dickson St Newtown (off Princess Hwy -
a brisk walk from Newtown or St Peters station)

CCIWI Food Pantry launch April 30th

Posted by: "a2zamethyst58" amethyst@oakandmistletoe.com.au   a2zamethyst58

Tue Apr 12, 2011 6:51 pm (PDT)

Hi all,
Apologies for cross posting.
I'm wondering if you'd be able to help us by spreading the word on Facebook pages, Yahoo Groups, bulletin boards and any other channels you can think of, about the new charitable support for Wiccans in financial need offered by the Community Church of Inclusive Wicca Inc. (www.cciwi.org)? The CCIWI Food Pantry will be launched on April 30th (Samhain) and it will provide bags of non perishable foods or Woolworths/Coles gift cards to Wiccan folks and families who are doing it tough financially.
We so often hear that Pagans feel uncomfortable going to religious organisations for help because they're expected to accept the faith of the charitable body and of course most charitable bodies are Christian based. We'd like to offer a more faith acceptable option for these folks that won't compromise their spiritual and religious beliefs.
Our task now, before April 30th, is to raise as much money or accept as many Woolworths/Coles gift cards as we can and to finalise the last of the logistics (like food donation drop off points around Australia) so we can then start providing the service from the launch date.
We'd very much appreciate if you could let folks know about this and how to donate and help us.

• If you'd like to donate money to help us, you can do so via PayPal using the address admin@cciwi.org.
• If you'd like to donate Coles or Woolworths gift cards to us, you can send them to CCIWI, 21 Daveys Road, Flagstaff Hill, SA 5159, Australia.
• If you'd like to drop off food donations and you live in Adelaide, you can drop those at 21 Daveys Road, Flagstaff Hill, SA 5159. If you live elsewhere, watch this space for the release of our drop off points.

100% of your donation goes straight back to the Wiccan community.
If you'd like to know more, please contact us for details at admin@cciwi.org. Please consider helping us by donating money, Coles or Woolworths gift cards or food. Thanks so much for any help you can give us.
Smiles and blessings, Amethyst

Many organisations (eg Amnesty International) have set-up monthly payment options. Does anyone have experience in setting-up these sort banking arrangements from the vendor point-of-view?
