Don, I did the same. My daughter was baptised by her choice and although I did not agree I supported her choice.A year later she changed her mind. She wanted to explore other religions and I bought her books. She is pagan now , although she refuses to tell her Grandmother. By allowing her to explore and choose for herself she is very well read in all religions and comfortable with who she is. Offering your unconditional support and love is the best example you can give a child.

First of all, "believe" what?
If you are talking about your belief system, I say that they are individuals and need to find their own way. My first wife and I raised 5 kids, none of which follow our path exactly. Some have gone to the Christian side but things that we instilled in them, such as the love of Nature, respect for all life and all people, etc., is still a part of their make up. We raised our kids in an atmosphere of freedom, free to make their own decisions and to be aware of the consequences. They have done very well and are raising their own kids, instilling in them the principles that they were taught.
So as it says in "The Prophet," by Kahlil Gibran, "You may give them your love, but not your thoughts, For they have their own thoughts.....You may strive to be like them, but seek not to make them like you. For life goes not backward nor tarries with yesterday."

What Happens if your Child doesn't believe?
What are the Karmic implications of "teaching" a child magical methods and beliefs? Younger children have a high capacity for belief, they can achieve amazing results from their craft. Does teaching children magic and nothing else hinder their free will? What do you do if your child decides to have nothing to do with ...it because of pressures in school or just doesn't believe?

The May Day Fairie Festival is the brainchild of Rob and Lucy Wood, owners of Spoutwood Farm, an organic farm in the Community Supported Agriculture movement. It began as a party for about 100 friends, and was has been celebrated by 16,000 âfriendsâ of the little people from the local area, all across the US and across the Atlantic. Previously a one-day festival, a second and third day were added as a response to the festivalâs rising popularity.
Once again, the festival will celebrate the beginning of spring and all of the nature spirits return to the warm world with 70 arts and crafts vendors (mostly featuring handmade art inspired by the little people), performances by musicians and dancers, storytellers, participatory maypole dancing, fairie craft activities such as wand and garland making (involves a small fee), food vendors, fairie and other nature spirit environments to explore, a Nature Place offering a place for environmental, health, animal interest and other groups to share their vision, fairie and gnome habitat tours, fairie tea parties, guest appearances by the Green Man, the Mossmen, Sweet Pea and others.
Families attending this event have discovered that this event is not just for kids!
The fairie and May Day themes go back to ancient times in almost all cultures, especially to the Celts of the British Isles who had a festival on the first of May called Beltane. It was a time of great rejoicing at the return of the earth's abundance in spring and the impending bounty of summer. The Celts celebrated the spirits of nature by honoring not only the plants that they could see and smell but also the unseen beings of the fairie realm.

...Life can seem chaotic sometimes, and organizing life into a peaceful whole becomes a lifetime effort, however it does not have to be that way. It only takes to change belief structures that have been created during an individual's lifetime to begin to enjoy the life that one wishes to live. We live in an archetypal world filled with symbols that are embedded in our psyche or subconscious. Transmuting certain limiting symbols and archetypal behaviors into more "efficient" patterns can affect the pattern of life. Change, however, is no easy task, but it is the way towards a more fulfilling life.
Divine Artist I will introduce the individual to the basic concepts of change. Through story, symbol and metaphor I will encourage, empower and inspire you into the land of self-fulfillment. I will break down hard-to-understand concepts to its basic components, hence transmuting (changing) the basic limiting beliefs that are stopping you from attaining the life you wish to see manifest.
It is time to use the wonderful spiritual tools that you posses but may barely use due to the societal noise that deafens the ears and clouds the mind. It is time to hear, it is time to see, it is time that you made contact with the one powerful and creative source that lies deep within your magnificent and divine soul.

Essential oils have been used for centuries. The Egyptian Pyramids had essential oils stored in them that were still intact and usable when found in modern days. Many oils have medicinal uses, and modern day medicines are often derived from these oils. We will explore the use of oils and how to apply them.

Today's Goddess: IRENE League of Nations Day (United States)
Posted by: "Cher Chirichello" CHIC0411@YAHOO.COM chic0411
Sun Jan 9, 2011 8:31 pm (PST)
Today's Goddess: IRENE
League of Nations Day (United States)
Themes: Peace; Cooperation, Reconciliation
Symbols: A Peace Sign; White; Gates and Entryways
About Irene: Look to this Greek Goddess of peace to get the year off harmoniously
with your neighbor and with all those you meet. Irene is Zeus's daughter and one of three Horae who together preside over matters of peace,
order, and justice. They guarded the gates of Mount Olympus to ensure
that all who passed had good-intentioned hearts. Offerings to Irene were always bloodless, in honor other amicable energy.
To Do Today: In 1920, the League of Nations was founded on this date to encourage
harmony between nations. To commemorate this and honor Irene, extend the hand of truce to someone with whom you've been bickering. Let the
energy of this day pour through you to begin healing that situation.
Peace is something that really begins in our own backyards. To generate harmony at home and in
your heart, make this simple Irene charm. On a piece of white paper draw a peace sign. Fold this three times, saying,
Order-never cease, justice-release, let there be peace.
Put this somewhere safe in your home so Irene's gentle warmth . can fill your words and actions all year. Better still, make two charms and carry one with you to keep
the peace in all your interactions!
Wear a white piece of clothing today as a reminder to approach life with peaceful intentions, words, and actions.

Daily Aromatherapy Tip - Lemongrass
I thought this was interesting. What gives Ivory Soap it's familiar scent? It's Lemongrass essential oil.
A pleasant, clean fragrance used in soaps, perfumes and deodorants. A great antiseptic, studies show
that Lemongrass is more effective against staph infection than either penicillin or streptomycin.

Indian Tantrasara
Posted by: "Cher Chirichello" CHIC0411@YAHOO.COM chic0411
Sun Jan 9, 2011 8:35 pm (PST)
No one, not even the gods, can
know your immensity, Mother
of all beings, you who gave birth
to yourself, alone. Your heavy
breasts shine yellow as saffron.
How can we not worship you!
How can we not banish doubt and anger
from our minds so that we can know
your red body with its milky breasts;
your body, beautiful and bountiful;
your body red and saffron-gold;
our source and our safety?
~Indian Tantrasara
Throughout the world, for countless generations, people have praised the goddess as the primal creative force of the universe. She is depicted as giving birth to herself, then birthing all the other gods and goddesses, as well as all of nature and humanity.
How can we doubt that we have, within us, a similar creative force? If we acknowledge our connection to the universal power we call the Goddess, how can we not also see her actions within our hearts and souls? Each action we take, consciously and wholeheartedly, is new and fresh. Each step we take in our life's dance has never been taken before. The greatest honor that we can give the Goddess is to acknowledge her workings within our lives
