Most people think of deer as a gentle totem. However, this time of
year many species of deer go into rut; bucks will then battle it out for the right to mate with does. Both sexes possess sharp hooves and a
powerful kick any time of year, and deer have been known to attack
people, especially this time of year.
Likewise, you may be underestimated by others because they may not
understand you as much as they think they do. Today, take a page out of
Deer's book and show others what you're really capable of! Of course,
you don't have to resort to violence. Instead, shatter people's
illusions about you in positive, constructive ways. Above all else, be
true to yourself. Deer doesn't stop being aggressive just because people think Bambi is the real deal. In the same way, don't compromise
yourself just to please others.

Every human being, to be mentally healthy,
must have the feeling of belonging. When we
have a sense of belonging we can be intimate.
We can feel. We can connect. If we
cannot develop this feeling of belonging, then
we will feel lost of disconnected. To be disconnected
from life is like walking around
during the day not knowing the Sun exists. To
have the feelings of intimacy is warm, glowy,
joyful, loving, and connected. The feeling this
Elder is talking about is available to everyone.

I am looking for an outdoor area ( Clearing in the woods, backyard,..Etc..) semi-secluded is fine, for mid to late May. I am located in South Central North Carolina and with in an hour to an hour and a half drive is fine. I am needing this area for Lee's first nature outing. Her Story
Rhiannon (Great Queen) was the lunar Welsh Goddess of fertility and
rebirth, transformation, wisdom, and magic. Goddess of ethereal beauty,
she was born with the first moonrise, Muse of poets, source of artistic inspiration, she was worshipped outside amidst the trees at woodland alters and underneath the Moonlight.
As goddess of fertility, Rhiannon gave birth to a son, Pryderi, at Yule - the winter solstice being a significant reminder that the ultimate product of death is rebirth. (Centuries later, in 273 C.E. (Common Era), Christians adopted this time of Yule as Jesus' birth).
Her
son was abducted one night while she slept, and as punishment she was
tied to the town gates and forced to bear visitors on her back as though
she were a horse. Her dignified strength and perseverance during this
time serve to remind us what all women are, and will continue to be.
In her death goddess aspect, she is symbolised by an unearthly white
mare and three birds that sang so sweetly they could raise the dead.
According to bardic folklore, she later become Vivien, the Lady of the Lake
in Arthurian myth, honoured for granting the wishes of those who could
ask for what they wanted, and scorning those who could not, or would
not, ask for what they wanted. This aspect is also a possible source for
the Grail Question of Arthurian legend.
Rhiannon carried the souls of the once-living on her white mare to
the Underworld, which, according to Celtic legend, is where the soul
exists in a similar way to that in our world. They did not see a
difference between the spiritual world and the material world, the
natural or the super-natural. After a "life cycle" in the Underworld,
the souls die and are reborn into this world again, perpetuating the
cycle of birth and death, renewal and destruction.
Her Modern Energy
As we relish the phase of rebirth and renewal, we welcome new
inspiration and Rhiannon's energy into our lives. Use her energy to give
oomph to new projects or ideas - simply ask her for what you want! If
you don't ask, you don't get, so go on - get asking!.
Reconnect With Your Inner Rhiannon
At the next full moon, honour Rhiannon by lighting four candles (one
each of red, green, gold and silver) and make your wish known to her.
With the joyful energy that renewal brings, have a little fun invoking
Rhiannon with the Anglo-Celtic nursery rhyme:
Ride a cockhorse to Banbury Cross
to see a fine lady upon a white horse,
With rings on her fingers and bells on her toes

What Would Rhiannon Do?

Larger than Life
I will talk about this in greater detail on this week's radio show on Blog Talk Radio.
No
hero is smaller than the challenges of their journey although it may
appear, at times, that life and all of the many ways it can confront the
hero is much larger than the hero can ever be. While the successful
outcome of the hero's journey may appear to be impossible, it is what
they learn during the unfolding process of overcoming each challenge
that helps them become larger than life. They learn that whatever they
need to accomplish each step is available and often arrives when they
least expect or have given up on it. The hero finds that the most
important part of their journey is not achieving the desired goal, but
in finding their inner light, power and strength.
The
hero never lacks courage and often welcomes the challenges that life
can offer. In fact, it is the hero's courage that invites life to throw
out its worst. Within the context of our spiritual memory we know that
we are infinitely powerful and can overcome anything in the third
dimension. Transforming this energy is why we are here and we know that
we are well prepared to meet any challenge. The problem arises when the
ego forgets our power and the reason for our journey of transformation.
From
the ego's context we are small and powerless and life is the monster we
must overcome. The ego believes that every situation is a test of its
resourcefulness and that it stands alone against life. When we create a
spirit/ego partnership we have full access to our power and then we have
no limits because we do not face life on its terms, we create our own
terms. This is the lesson that every hero learns, which enables her to
find the monster's weak spot because she enters through the back door,
which is accessed through power, not force.
Once
we learn that it is through our power, not through how well, how long,
or how hard we fight, that we overcome, the journey is complete. Then
the monster suddenly becomes small and insignificant, the path through
the challenge is obvious and what was once a dark, scary alley is now a
wide, well lit path to our transformation. If we can do this once, we
can repeat it with any challenge and approach life as a hero, instead of
a victim of life. Then we are larger than life because life will bend
to our will-we are creator's creator, after all, once we approach our
hero's journey holding our power before us and walking in step with our
spirit/ego partnership.

These Boots Are Made for Walking
I
was recently at a shopping mall and every woman I saw was wearing boots.
I stood next to an elderly woman, who must have been in her late
eighties, and I noticed that she was wearing knee high, black leather
boots. I wanted to high five her and say 'you go, girl.' Women
of all ages, were boldly walking in their boots. I had boots on too and
I know it's the style now but I was surprised at how many women have
adopted the style this year. I know they're comfortable and warm but
there is more to this.
We
are experiencing a new influx of feminine power and feel stronger, more
confident and aware of our power. With boots our 'soles' are protected
from harm and we can walk with confidence in places that our high heeled
pumps can't take us. With boots we can walk through the muck of life
without worrying about getting our feet too dirty. As the song goes,
'boots are made for walking.'
Yet
there is another message we must hear as we enjoy the power our new
boots give us and that is to remember the nurturing, gentle nature of
the feminine. In lifetimes past women have ruled the world and over
time, they were as imbalanced and controlling as men have been in our
recent memory. Just because we have boots does not mean we also have the
power to walk all over everyone in our path.
I
welcome the new feminine energy; it is time for women to speak up, to
reclaim their power and to remember that they have an equal role in the
world. But there is as much power in the feminine as there is in the
masculine and even greater power when they are used in balance. We can
confidently wear our boots and let them take us anywhere we want to go
as we remember that it is when we use the highest expressions of an
energy that we create the highest and greatest good for ourselves and
for everyone.
Uriel's Message -- Your Power of Judgment
Your
power of judgment is the power contained within your free will, which
is how you control and manage the energy of the third dimension. This is
the power which allows you to say 'it is so' and the Universal energy
responds to your request. Judgment is the way you command the energy
that creates your reality. There are many ways to use it and it can be
used in ways that enhance, uplift and expand your life or limit it in
many ways.
When
used expansively you use judgment in a mindful way that reminds you of
the power of your words and thoughts. Every thought you have or word you
speak creates a vessel for the universal energy which manifests as some
aspect of your reality. You can command good or evil, abundance or
lack, love or fear, through your use of judgment. You judge others as
well as yourselves and each judgment creates a form that either limits
or expands your reality.
When
used in a limiting way judgment creates obstacles in your life which
you feel as lack or fear. These limits are created through how you use
your power of judgment. Are you limiting yourself by affirming what you
believe you do not have? Are you judging others and creating this energy
in your own life? You can judge for good or for ill, both will manifest
in your life in some form because you have sent out a command which
must be fulfilled.
Use
this power to judge for good, to affirm your power and divinity and
that in others too. Judgment is the only reason you experience any
aspect of fear in your life and you can change that in each moment.
Remember that a judgment is a commandment that you extend to the
Universe which it must fulfill in its promise to you as creators in the

Crystals and Karma
As
with Indigos, Crystals also experience karma through their most
challenging soul group relationships but they do it in a different way.
While Indigos point out what is wrong, Crystals try to bring out the
best in everyone by showing them the results of their actions. Therefore
many Crystals act as martyrs, using their own suffering as a tool for
transformation. They do this through their empathy, emotions, and
ability to love unconditionally. Crystals give love to everyone, no
matter what, and they often choose people who are hard to love.
Indigos
are all about action and Crystals are all about emotion, which is why
Crystals are so empathic and seem to have the hardest time with karma.
They deal directly with the emotional energies of the karmic cycles and
process them for their soul group, transforming them into whatever they
believe are their highest expressions. And then they offer those
energies to those who may not be ready or willing to accept them.
This
is why Crystals often feel unappreciated, undervalued, taken advantage
of and misunderstood, even feeling invisible at times, because they
offer energetic gifts to those who are not at that vibration so they
can't accept the gifts and may not even be able to see what the gift is.
When their gifts of love are rejected, Crystals think that it is their
fault or something they did, which is not correct. They are simply
offering a gift to someone who cannot accept it. What can they do?
While
Crystals can show and live love from an expanded perspective, they
cannot be the love they think someone else needs and then expect that
person to acknowledge what they are trying to do. Crystals can show love
and know that whoever can join them at that vibration is going to and
others will when they are ready. Too often Crystals pull their energy
back and go within when they feel rejected and then everyone loses. The
world needs the hope and love that Crystals bring and the new paradigms
they offer. As long as Crystals remember that everyone connects and
receives at their level of vibration they can continue to teach the
world to love openly and know that as they share their gifts without
expectation or judgment they are fulfilling their promise to the world
in the best possible way.

I am probably about an hour from you a little north of Alton. I am studying lessons I found online so I imagine I will need help somewhere along the way. Any help will be greatly appreciated. With my hectic life at work retaining what I learned is harder then it was when I was in highschool. Not having anyone else to celebrate the sabbats and Esbats with doesn't help either as one never has anyone to learn with.

Right Where We Are
Enlightenment At Home
You don't need to travel to a far away land to become enlightened; it isn't the place, it's the practice.
Many spiritual seekers feel called to far-flung places across the globe in the interest of pursuing the path of their enlightenment. This may indeed be the right course of action for certain people, but it is by no means necessary to attaining an enlightened consciousness. Enlightenment can take root anywhere on earth, as long as the seeker is an open and ready vessel for higher consciousness. All we need is a powerful intention, and a willingness to do the work necessary to moving forward on our path.
In terms of spiritual practice, at this moment, there are more tools available to more people than at any other time in history. We have access to so much wisdom through the vehicles of books, magazines, the Internet, television, and film. In addition, the time-honored practice of meditation is free, and sitting quietly everyday, listening to the universe, is a great way to start the journey within. There is further inspiration in the fact that the greatest teachers we have are our own life experiences, and they come to us every day with new lessons and new opportunities to learn. If we look at the people around us, we may realize that we have a spiritual community already intact, and if we don't, we can find one, if not in our own neighborhood, then on-line.
Meanwhile, if we feel called to travel in search of teachers and experiences, then by all means, we should. But if we can't go to India, or Burma, or Indonesia, or if we don't have the desire, this is not an obstacle in terms of our spiritual development. In fact, we may simply be aware that our time and energy is best spent in our own homes, with our meditation practice and all the complications and joys of our own lives. We can confidently stay in one place, knowing that everything that we need to attain enlightenment is always available right where we are.

Hi Friends,
I was thinking about Butterfly. I've been seeing so many Yellow
Swallowtails lately. One landed on our Sweet William flowers giving
a full display of her beautiful yellow and black wings while she
extracted sweet nectar from the flower.

Hello, Shay, I am Butterfly! Yes, I am patiently waiting to
help you at all times and in all phases of Your unfoldment. In the
cycles of growth there is a Great Mystery and Wonder that holds
All in constant motion.
The Creator is One, but made us appear as many through the
breath of the Great Mystery. Whale, Spider, Deer, Swan - All the
animals and insects, plants and minerals, and All the tiny invisible
life play their parts.
Men and Women are unique among the creatures. You have the
gifts of Reason and Feeling which you may use to grow true
Wisdom and Intuition. You have also been given Freedom to use
the faculties as you choose. Much of your lives you flit about on
the breeze as I do on the long journey of migration.
Take a moment to See and Smell the beautiful flowers, to stop a
moment and drink deeply the nectar and inhale the perfume of
the Presence of Life. Whether it comes to you as birdsong at dawn,
a golden orange sunset, or it shines in the eyes of a fellow traveler,

Dear Friends,
Swallow medicine is one that has been calling to me. I always love
to see the swallows in the Spring and enjoy it when they nest in
the eaves in front of my house. Swallow feels like a good friend
who helps clear and protect the household. Swallow, do you have
a few words today?

Yes, yes, I will be brief my Friend. I am not one to sit long as you
have noticed. I am usually in flight and as such I can show you
how to create movement in your life.
I will help you clear out areas of stagnation: your piles of old
papers, books, and many items in the garage are ready for
clearing. Remember, if you don't use it or love it, then toss it out,
give it away or sell it. Be sure to bless each item and be thankful
for the gift it has brought your life, then let it go.
Fly free and rise above attachment to the worldly things and
thoughts. Take inventory of the ideas you hang on to as well. If
they no longer serve you well then let them go with compassion
and understanding. I offer safe and swift clearing of emotional
baggage and mental clutter as well!
Just watch how I swoop and swerve so easily and effortlessly. I

Good Morning Friends,
There went the Gold Finch flying east in the morning light! Do you
have a message for us today?
Yes, I am the Gold Finch who has been singing outside your window
every morning. You have heard my song and wondered what
blessing I bring and who I am.
Yellow is the color of the sun. The golden yellow rays reach through
space infusing Earth with radiant, glowing life. Black is the color of
night, the colorless color that absorbs all other rays of the spectrum.
It is the ability to Receive. My colors represent the rhythm of Nature
and remind you that after darkness comes the dawn of a new day.
In your hour of darkness do not curse the night. In your heart you
know and must remember that this darkness opens and renews you
so that you may awaken to new Radiance. That is the way of the
World as the Mother has told you before.
There is always a give and take, shadows and light. Ask and you
shall receive. But you must open and be receptive. Listen to the
whispers of your heart. Those who wish for their Prayers to be
heard by the Father will do well to listen patiently to the sounds of
Nature, the Mother.
The Mother always listens intently for the sound of her baby crying
in the night. There is no question but that She will respond. So you
must cry out sincerely for help and then listen quietly. She is talking
to you through the wind, the sound of ocean waves and the singing
of birds.
This sounds poetic, vague and abstract, but when you listen deeper
and deeper, then listen again, you will hear that very specific voice,
the special feeling, the exact message which is just for you. Then
you are filled with radiant golden-yellow light that awakens your
own Voice.
Your Words and Being are a blessing to All Life. And you will wake
to a song of pure Gratitude, Respect and Praise for All Life. Thank
you for Listening.

It is only through examination of our dark side that we can hope to be
reborn. It is in crossing the comfort zones and visiting our shadowed
selves that we can empower ourselves spiritually, psychologically,
emotionally, and physically to be reborn again.

Her Story
The ancient Slavic goddess Baba Yaga is the wild old crone guardian of
the Water of Life and Death. She is the goddess of death and birth
associated with Autumn, who sings while sprinkling corpses with the
Water of Life to let them be reborn. Although she is fearsome to look
upon, like all forces of nature that are often wild and untamed, she can
also be kind.
Often depicted living in the deep centre of earth, or in a hut
surrounded by a fence of bones, she represents the power of old age, of
witch, and of the life cycle that is birth, death and rebirth. She is
therefore also associated with birch forests (birch being the tree of
beginnings and endings). Another image is that of "White Lady", or Death Crone, as she is stiff and white and carved of bone (she can also be referred to as Goddess of Old Bones) .
Her Modern Energy
If you're feeling directionless and an emptiness in the spirit and
emotion, acknowledge Baba Yaga's presence in you. Being depressed in not
to be feared, rather the process and emotion should be honoured, and
allowed to move on. While the Water of Life and Death can be taken by
trickery or synthetic means (eg through drugs), by taking time to work
in gentle silence the Water can also be given to you as a gift.
Behold Baba Yaga, she is here to force us to examine our soul in the dark mirror and to be forever transformed.
Reconnect With Your Inner Baba Yaga
Wear black, red and white scarves this week and use the colours to
remind you of Baba Yaga. Black represents night and the breakdown of the
personality (the crushed and broken body ready for Baba Yaga's Water of
Life and Death), white represents the dawn and purification (the gift
of the Water of Life and Death), and red represents day and vital life
force (the powerful rebirth).
Work through the cycles of dawn, day and night gently, succumb to
Baba Yaga's vibrations and trust that she will be kind to you. At the
end of the week say good-bye to destructive influences as you tie the
scarves around a tree in your garden. There they will be connected to
the earth via the tree's roots, tapping into kundalini energy of the
dark side, and also to the wind which will pick up your depression and
carry it away.
What Would Baba Yaga Do?
...If she were in your situation she would know that she is not alone
when feelings of darkness descend. She would examine her dark side to
understand the circle of life more fully.

I woke up yesterday with yet another flu. It's not fair - I'd only
recovered from another flu a week earlier. To make matters more
stressful, our landlady called to say she'd sold our house and we have
two weeks to find somewhere else to live.
"Dear Goddess," I said in frustration, "I'm unable to work because
I'm ill. I am forfeiting thousands of dollars on my investment in the Mind Body Spirit Festival
in Melbourne this weekend. I've spent a whole day on the phone trying
to find somewhere to live that is clean, affordable, and will take a
dog. I'm near the end of my tether here. I'm ready for a change of
fortune."
I closed my eyes and let my prayer drift into the cosmos. Emptying
my mind of worries, for the time being at least, I allowed myself some
space for peace. In that quiet moment of "be-ing", of simply sitting in a
space of zero expectation, this is the answer that drifted back to me.
Whatever
is happening in your life today, it's OK... It is enough that you are
here, that you have done the best you can with the resources on hand.
Be proud of yourself; you have done such a great job - coping,
striving, moving onwards and upwards. Your husband adores you, your
children rely on you, and your dog just thinks you're the ants pants.
For today it is enough that you have your family to laugh with, food
in the fridge, money in your purse and non-creaky knees - goddess knows
a woman is only as young as her joints.
Please be gentle with yourself today... you are doing the best you can with what you have available to you.
Spend the next minute giving yourself credit. You are stronger than
you think. You can change anything you want - your mind, your thoughts,
your tack, your attitude. You can do anything, even this.
Once you have filled up on a healthy dose of self-approval and
understanding, forward this note onto anyone who you think could do with
the reminder that they too are brave, resourceful and enough.

In these presentations, shaman and Wisdom Keeper Little Grandmother will
share with the group keys to shifting individual awareness and living from
the heart for the coming times—based on teachings given to her directly by

are as the "Great I AM," as co-creators of our reality able to
dramatically affect earth consciousness through Love, is the key. The

life in the universe. Little Grandmother will share about her own
extraordinary journey, from being a young girl living in a rural religious
farming community to being recognized as a shaman by her mother's tribe at
age 30. She will tell about the important crystal ceremonies she has been
asked to perform in special places on the earth at this time to connect
earth's energy ley lines, in preparation for the changes happening and due
to happen on Earth in the coming years. By remembering the ancient cosmic
truths we have forgotten, we can transform our world and ensure that human
beings shift into a higher dimension of being, along with Mother Earth.
Participants will practice working with earth energy, and learn techniques
to help them shift into heart consciousness—which is the central task
