Daily Insight - The Energy of Emotions

Be careful not to cling to any emotion… allow yourself to experience
emotion without fear of that emotion and without clinging to that
emotion.
For instance: When one is happy, you want to hold on to that feeling
for as long as you can. You push that moment into being and in doing
so you also create a fear of loss with that emotion. This blocks
energy from flowing freely through you and all times we need that
energy flowing.
Allow happy moments to come and go at their own natural pace. The same
is said for all other emotions. When you allow fear to take over you
allow road blocks in your own life-spring of energy.
It is hard to let go of that control. We want so badly to keep
happiness in our lives, but think about this for a moment. If you are
clinging to one particular happy moment … you are blocking other
emotions from flowing through you. The same again is said for other
emotions…. Anger, hatred, sadness, etc. Live in this moment .. right
here .. right now.
What is done is done.. holding on to past emotions is pointless and
helps no one.

Pass a coin or bill through smoke of burning sage to clear it of all
negative associations. Visualize a world where money is available to
everyone. Imagine that money will be there when you need it. Take the
coin or bill and place it on your altar or other personal space.
Surround it with a circle of stones and crystals, and imagine this as a
protective barrier to keep the funds safe. Sprinkle dried basil over the circle and chant:Â

There is no need that can’t be met,
I have the means to pay all debts.
The funds will come, and bring no harm.
In love and trust, I bless this charm.Â

After one entire moon cycle, put the coin or bill away in a safe place.Â

Earth, holy mother, source of nature,
you feed us while we live, you hold us when we die.
Everything comes from you, everything returns to you.
What else could we call you but Our Mother?
Even the gods call you that. Without you
there is nothing. Nothing can thrive, nothing can live
Without your power. Queen and Goddess, I invoke you:
you are all-powerful and my needs are so small.
Give me what I ask and in exchange, I will give you
my thanks, sincere and from my deepest heart.

Compared to the
vastness of the earth, each one of us is tiny. Yet altogether the amount of life this planet supports is immense. The ability of this planet to
produce enough food for its creatures is astonishing. Not only does Our
Mother feed all her human children, but her plants produce seed and
leaves in such great quantity that they feed the birds, the fish, the
other mammals as well. Life on this green planet is supported by
intricate interconnections. And we are the benficiaries of that great
web of life.
How infrequently,
however, do most of us today acknowledge this web that supports and
sustains us? In many cultures, the first action each person took each
morning was to bow in prayer to the sun and to the earth, expressing
gratitude for the warmth and light that enlivens the planet, and the
earth's plentiful food and water. How raely do we, today, follow such
ancient practices? Henceforth, let us begin each day with grateful
acknowledgement of our place in the planetary system.
