I would like to thank those of you who expressed condolences on the recent passing of my mother. She suffered a hemorrhagic stroke while she was driving home from my house at 7:30 and passed away at 8:30. My
mother's stroke and passing was an enormous shock to my family because she did not have any symptoms or risk factors for a stroke. Just the Week before she had gone to her doctor for a check up and received a clean bill of health. She did, however, develop a cold while she was visiting me and had taken Alka Seltzer Cold Plus for 3 days. Since her passing, we have learned that Alka Seltzer is one of the many cold medicines that contains Phenylpropanolamine (PPA) which can cause hemorrhagic strokes or cerebral bleeding even with the first use. I am forwarding a list of other medications that currently use PPA. These medicines are supposedly being recalled but my mother just purchased this medication less than two weeks ago. Pharmaceutical companies have known about this danger for years, we unfortunately, did not.
I urge you to review the list of medicines with PPA and avoid these medications. All drugs containing PHENYLPROPANOLAMINE are dangerous.
You may want to try calling the 800 number listed on most drug boxes and inquire about a REFUND. Please read this CAREFULLY. Also, please pass this on to everyone you know. STOP TAKING anything containing this
ingredient. It has been linked to increased hemorrhagic stroke (bleeding in brain) among women ages 18-49 in the three days after starting use of medication. Problems were not found in men, but the FDA recommended that everyone (even children) seek alternative medicine.

I just found out and called the 800# on the container for Triaminic and they informed me that they are voluntarily recalling the following medicines because of a certain ingredient that is causing strokes and seizures in children:

They are asking you to call them at 800-548-3708 with the lot number on the box so they can send you postage for you to send it back to them, and they will also issue you a refund. If you know of anyone else with small children,

The Earthly Mother: This Essene Goddess embodies nature and teaches us
how to live in harmony with the earth. The Essenes portray her with the
elements personified as four angels (earth, air, fire, water) plus two
companions named Joy and Life, all helping the Earthly Mother in her
work. What a magickal blend to bless and energize this first month!
To
Do Today: In the spirit of making every day Earth Day, why not launch
the new year by giving something back to the earth in the tradition of
the Isrealites? Today (the fifteenth day of Shebat on the Hebrew
calendar), plant a tree to rejuvinate the land. If you wish, name the
tree after a deceased loved one, as the Isrealites do. According to
lore, doing so brings that person peace in the afterlife.
If your
location or finances don't allow for tree plantings, just water a tree.
By doing so you symbolically feed the whole earth. Sit down for a
moment or two afterward and meditate. Feel the rich soil beneath you,
and feel how it nourishes and enriches all living things including you.
Finally,
as you're walking around, pick up any stone that catches your eye. Put
it in your pocket to carry a piece of the Earthly Mother with you as a
gentle reminder that the earth is a sacred, living thing that blesses us
daily.

us stretches the blue sky; beneath us stretches the great green earth.
The waters, the light, the moving creatures, and the vast forests: all

and earth are not opposites, nor are spirit and flesh. This planet, and

Welcome the New Moon, Light a black candle tomorrow morning and visualize on .... Cleansing, purification, blessings...
new beginning, birth, emergence, projection, clarity. It is the time in a cycle that you are stimulated to take a new action. During this phase the new cycle is being seeded by your vision, inner and outer. Engage in physical activity. Spend time alone. VISUALIZE your goals for the 29.6-day cycle ahead.
New Moon workings can be done from the day of the new moon to three-and-a-half days after.
The new moon is also for starting new ventures, new beginnings. Also love and romance, health or job hunting.
The beginning of a new cycle. The first phase of moon's orbit around the earth....it is between the sun and the earth so from the earth they rise and set together...thus we cannot see the reflection as it faces the sun..at the 12 o'clock position..This time is used for personal growth or a time for healing....also a time to consecrate new tools.....to be used in upcoming ceremonies
