for example, have teachers, students, friends, or family tried to brainwash your child out of paganism and into their religion?
What did you do to make it a positive learning experience? Is anyone new to paganism? How do you teach your lil ones when your learning yourself, is there
any good advice?

Energetic Sweeping
Sweeping the front porch every morning is an important cleansing ritual that prepares the ground for new energy.
In some of our lives, sweeping has become an activity performed without much thought. In many cases, sweeping is a lost art, replaced by the noisy, efficient vacuum cleaner. But in several cultures and religions, sweeping the front and back porch every morning is regarded as an important cleansing ritual that prepares the ground for new energy on every levelâ€"physically, spiritually, emotionally, and mentally. It is often employed to sanctify a space and prepare it for a ceremony. This seemingly simple action has the power to clear away the old and make space for the new. It stirs up the energy in a place, clearing out the astral buildup that is the natural by-product of the presence of humans.
This kind of sweeping is not about cleaning the area of dust. In fact, the broom doesn’t have to actually touch the ground to be effective. You might want to consider having two different brooms, one you use for cleaning dust and dirt, and one you use for energy clearing. If you are so inspired, you could decorate your broom by carving its handle, painting it, decorating it with gemstones and ribbons, or any other creative adornment that appeals to you. You can also make your own broom out of tree branches and twigs, or choose a naturally appearing broom from nature, such as a pine bough.
Sweeping each morning prepares the ground for the new day at the same time as it deepens our awareness of the importance of letting go of the past to welcome the present. As we clear the energy of our space, we clear our own energy systems. In addition, we create a space that feels clean, clear, and open to all who enter. Be sure to think welcoming thoughts as you sweep, manifesting what you need for the day. Making sweeping part of our daily ritual tunes us into the continuing cycle of releasing the old and welcoming the new that is the hallmark of a healthy energy system.

I was thinking about this statement and for a moment and began to
reflect back on various people that have come and gone in my life and
what I might have learned from each of them. Even those who came and
left in a moment there was something to be learned. It doesn't matter
the length of time someone is in your life, they all offer something
to be learned. Here are a few examples of my own:
The beggar on the street teaches us that everything we have can be
gone in a flash. Cherish what you have every moment that you have it.
Those we teach remind us of how important knowledge can be.
Children show us the wonders of the world and how imagination,
wonder and magic live in every moment that we allow it to be.
Those "Happy" folks that are always smiling, always cheerful –
teach us that life is what we make it.
Those unhappy people who are always negative, always gloomy,
always complaining – they make us appreciate the good days. They make
us glad that we are not them!
Mothers show us what unconditional love looks like.
These are just a few examples of what we can learn from others.. the
list is never-ending. Today I ask that you look at the world you live
in and the people in it, a little bit differently. Ask yourself what
lessons can be learned and how that person has influenced your life
today.

There is a time in your life you have to stop being a victim and use the bad situations the effected your life to build you strength, to make yourself stronger, to teach others not to be victims. When someone is victimized and continues to live a life spiraling out of control, self mutilation, self hurt, additions ect, when you continue to live that way you allow that person or people to continue victimizing you if it was a day ago to 10 yrs ago, there is no excuse to bring out that strong person inside and fight back by living your life to the fullest and not allowing life to cripple you!....
Get up and now take that stand!

Create a mixture using Aloe Vera Gel as your base. 2 teaspoons
Add Chamomile and Geranium 1- 2 drops each.
Apply to the lips. You may also try Lavender or Rose.

Chamomile Shampoo

You will need:
2 tsp... dried chamomile
1/4 cup boiling water
1/4 cup baby shampoo (or another mild variety)
Pour the boiling water over the chamomile and steep for 30 minutes, strain, then mix
into the shampoo and use as usual.

About Nokomis: In Algonquin tradition, Nokomis is the "grandmother" who supplies us
with the earth's riches and gives nourishment to humankind in times of
need. When people are hungry, Nokomis provides food. When there is no
food to be found, she offers to let us consume her spirit, thereby
continuing the cycle of life.
To Do Today: Today marks the anniversary of the discovery of gold in California and
the resulting expansion westward in the United States. In keeping with
this prosperous, fortunate theme, wear or carry something gold today to
bring a little more of Nokomis's abundance your way.
For financial
improvements, especially if you have any pressing bills, eat corn (any
type) today. Before consuming it pray to Nokomis, saying:
Grandmother, see the sincerity of my need. Go to
your storehouse and dispense ___(fill in the
minimum amount you need to get by) so that I
might meet my obligations.
Eating corn internalizes the energy of the prayer so opportunities to make money start manifesting.
If you're
pressed for time, grab a kernal of unpopped popcorn and put it in your
wallet or purse to keep Nokomis's prosperity (and your cash) where it's
needed most.

The feminine force is
not only warm and matronly, friendly and girlish. It is also a power of
fire and strength, or righteous anger and powerful wrath. As the
Egyptians knew when they honored Sekhmet, the wrathful lion Goddess of
the sun's fire, nature cannot be contained nor constrained within our
human vision of gentleness and love. She is vaster than that. She is all the natural forces or purification and change; she is fire as well as
earth and water.
So, too, each
woman has the fierce fiery power of the primal Goddess within her. And
there are times when that power should be used, nature. Once the
purifying fire has done its work, the kindlier aspects of the Goddess
will return.seasons when the soul, and the exterior of life that
reflects it, must be purged and cleansed. A woman must not retreat from
the challenge of using this power, for it is a part of her feminine

INCOMING CME: Big sunspot 1402 erupted on Jan. 23rd, producing a strong M9-class solar flare and a fast-moving coronal mass ejection (CME). Analysts at the Goddard Space Weather Lab say the CME should reach Earth on Jan. 24th at 14:18 UT (+/- 7 hr) and Mars a little more than a day later. Strong geomagnetic storms are possible when the cloud reaches Earth. Our magnetic field is still reverberating from a CME impact on Jan. 22nd, so another blow could spark impressive auroras at high latitudes. Sky watchers in northern Europe, Canada, Alaska, and northern-tier US states such as the Dakotas, Minnesota and Wisconsin should be alert for Northern Lights.
