Daily Insight - Love

What can I say that has not been said before when it comes to love. It
is that one thing we are all in search of and yet so few feel like
they have found true love.

Bells, whistles, lightning and thunder are suppose to be heard when
that love walks into your life… but is this true?

YES!!! Yes it is very true.

Your entire being knows when that other half of your soul stands
before you. Words nor actions will not be needed for the souls
communicate on a level that few understand.

Magical is another word used often to describe the feeling of true
love. I have to agree but also I should also say that one need not
expect to have that "magical" feeling every moment of every day. The
magic is always there but in the chores of living day to day other
things blur the magic and while it is there.. it may be unseen or felt
less than other moments at times. This is ok.. this is how it should
be.. for the magic is never gone… it's just not always front and
center.

Be sure and let those you love know it every day. If you want a
magical love life then you have to play a part in making sure the
magic is front and center.. don't allow life's day to day challenges
blur the magic that lives within your bond.

It's the small things that for me bring that magic back to the
surface… like looking over at my husband and as he turns his focus and
looks back at me and that smile of his takes form… A magic stirs
inside me and I bubble over with how very much I love him. Late night
cuddles and morning kisses .. sigh… Preparing meals together… the love
and care that goes into every action. These are just a few of the
things that normally may go without notice but for me these are the
moments I look forward to.

This is lovely. My sentiments exactly that even when you have found true love, you really need to make the small effort to keep it alive, and nurture it. It doesn't take very much... Thanks for this.

Heather

“Love is the ultimate outlaw. It just won't adhere to any rules. The most any of us can do is to sign on as its accomplice. Instead of vowing to honor and obey, maybe we should swear to aid and abet. That would mean that security is out of the question. The words "make" and "stay" become inappropriate. My love for you has no strings attached. I love you for free.” ~ Tom Robbins

Today's Goddess: MOTHER OF TEN THOUSAND THINGS Vietnamese New Year

Posted by: "Cher Chirichello" CHIC0411@YAHOO.COM   chic0411

Tue Jan 24, 2012 8:59 pm (PST)

Today's Goddess: MOTHER OF TEN THOUSAND THINGS
Vietnamese New Year

Theme: Luck
Symbol: Any Lucky Totem

About the Mother: This Goddess represents the unknowable and uncontrollable things we
face daily. In Indo-Chinese tradition, she is part of the Universe's ebb and flow, ever changing and ever the same. Turn to her when you feel as if ten thousand things in your life were up in the air.

To Do Today: Take out any item that you associate with good fortune. Name it after
the one area in your life in which you need more luck (naming something
designates its purpose and powers). Hold the token up to the night sky
(symbolic of the Universe's vastness), saying:

Mother, see this symbol of my need,. Empower it

with your fortunate influence to fill my year with

____(fill in with the name of your token.)

Carry this with you as often as possible to manifest that energy in your life.

In Vietnam, this
holiday, known as Tet, is filled with ceremonies for luck over several
days, including an offering to the goddess and ancestors to give good
fortune a boost. Eating rice today invokes the spirit of prosperity. Or
you can try a traditional divinatory activity today instead. Make a note of the name of the first person you meet today. If the name has an
auspicious meaning, (check a baby-name book), your meeting presages a
wonderful year filled with the Mother's serendipity.

Spicy Spell for Success

Posted by: "Cher Chirichello" CHIC0411@YAHOO.COM   chic0411

Spicy Spell for Success

Mix the following ingredients with mortar and pestle:

3 pinches of dried marjoram
dash of ground cinnamon
dash of ground ginger

Marjoram is ruled by the air element, the spices by fire. Think of the heat of
the spices bringing energy to the intellectual element of air,
stimulating success. As you combine the ingredients, visualize the
success you wish to achieve. These three herbs are also often used in
love spells, so be careful what you wish for success with. In a place
where you seek success (home, business, school), sprinkle tiny portions
of this mixture in the area.

Chant:
Herbs of air, herbs of fire,
Bring success that I desire.
Bless this space, herbs of three,
For good of all, so mote it be.

Daily Aromatherapy Tip - Scented Beeswax Heart
.
Scent a room with this decorative accent. Use a cookie cutter to cut a heart shape from a sheet of natural beeswax.
Wrap the heart in cheesecloth and infuse it with a few drops of Rose Otto. Place the wrapped heart in a plastic bag
for a week. Remove and discard the cloth and glue a ribbon hanger to the back of the heart. You can even decorate it
with dried flowers and a bow.Hang it in the kitchen or even the bath!!

How I love that dark beauty,

Posted by: "Cher Chirichello" CHIC0411@YAHOO.COM   chic0411

How I love that dark beauty,
seducing the world
with her black hair,
how I love her!
How I love my black darling
who lives in the heart of the world,
int he heart of our hearts,
in the hearts of the gods,
how I love her!
Because she is black,
I love black.
Because she dances,
I love dancing.
Because she is beautiful
and black with dancing
hair, I cannot help
myself, I adore her!
~Indian Poet Ramprasad

In India one of the most beloved Goddesses is Kali, the black dancer who brings death to each of us and to the entire
world at time's end. How can people love death? Is not death something to be feared, to be postponed at all costs?
How can we embrace Kali and all that she means?

Yet the insight that lead the Hindu poet Ramprasad to write his magnificent prayers to Kali is one that can benefit all of us.
For we are - all of us - mortal beings who will one day face death. There is no avoiding Kali. She will be with us at the end;
it is no good to pretend she will not. To lie in constant awareness of her presence is to live fully in each beautiful, brief
moment. To live with Kali means not to lapse into mindlessness and thus lose the preciousness of life. To love Kali is,
in the most profound fashion, to love ourselves and all those around us. embracing her is most deeply embracing ourselves.
