The 9/11 Phoenix
A phoenix is a m ythical bird with a colorful plumage and a tail of gold and scarlet (or purple, blue, and green according to some legends). It has a 500 to 1000 year life-cycle, near the end of which it builds itself a nest of twigs that then ignites; both nest and bird burn fiercely and are reduced to ashes, from which a new, young phoenix or phoenix egg arises, reborn anew to live again. The new phoenix is destined to live as long as its old self. In some stories, the new phoenix embalms the ashes of its old self in an egg made of myrrh and deposits it in the Egyptian city of Heliopolis (literally "sun-city" in Greek). It is said that the bird's cry is that of a beautiful song. The Phoenix's ability to be reborn from its own ashes implies that it is immortal.

On the 10th anniversary of 9/11, construction of the Freedom Tower continues to move forward. Parts of the National September 11 Memorial, which will be located elsewhere on a 16-acre site, should be finished by 2013.
Both structures have been the subject of some debate, but public perception of them is improving, and developers remain confident that their work will act as a fitting tribute to the victims of 9/11.
The Freedom Tower is due to be completed in 2013.
The New York City Freedom Tower, which will stand 1,776 feet tall on the site of the former World Trade Center, is the work of the Lower Manhattan Development Corporation. It will serve as a beacon of freedom, and demonstrate the resolve of the United States, and the people of New York City.
Construction on the tower, which will have a cubic base, began in early 2006. Steel became visible aboveground in 2007, and by 2013 the building will be ready for occupancy - twelve years after the World Trade Center was destroyed by terrorist attacks.
The site will also feature the Reflecting Absence memorial, which will honor the 2,986 men and women who died as a result of the terrorist attacks which thrust America, and the world, into war. Over 2,500 people died after the World Trade Center came crashing down to earth, and leaders vow they will never be forgotten.

Today's 'Make Your Bed Day' is one that my son could stand to proactively engage in. But if you really want to use your bed to bring stunning fortune and luck, then try this successful and super secret Feng Shui cure. This cure is applied to the four bedposts and does some fancy footwork when putting negative or bad luck to bed! It's also believed that this bed cure can improve your ability to obtain money while also providing strong protection for anyone sleeping there. You'll need four nine-inch pieces or squares of new red cloth, four faux Chinese coins (those with the square hole in the center) and four pieces of red ribbon, thread or string that are nine inches in length. Lift one of the bedposts and slide the red cloth square underneath. Put a coin in the center so that it lies directly under the post. Set the foot down so that it is resting on top of the coin and wrap the red cloth up around the post. Tie the cloth with one of the red ribbons so it looks like it has a sock on it. Perform this same routine on the three remaining posts while seeing yourself becoming wealthy, healthy and safe. If that doesn't say 'sweet dreams' then I don't know what does.

George W. Bush has praised the 40 passengers and crew who fought back against their Flight 93 hijackers on 9/11 for carrying out what he described as one of the most courageous acts in U.S. history.
The former president was at a ceremony on Saturday dedicating a memorial at the nation's newest national park in Shanksville, Pennsylvania, as the U.S. marks the 10th anniversary of the terror attacks.
Americans will also come together on Sunday where the World Trade Center soared in Manhattan, New York, and in Washington D.C. where the Pentagon now stands as a fortress once breached.

The nation's focus will turn on Sunday to ceremonies at the Pentagon and in lower Manhattan for the dedication of the national September 11 memorial.
President Barack Obama planned to attend ceremonies at both sites, as well as the Pennsylvania memorial, and was scheduled to speak at a Sunday evening service at the Kennedy Center.
The New York ceremony begins at 8:30am local time, with a moment of silence 16 minutes later - coinciding with the exact time when the first tower of the World Trade Centre was struck by a hijacked jet.

Healing Strength
Many people will remember today as the tragic anniversary of the attack
on the World Trade Center. You can use this ritual to send healing
strength into the world, as well as for your own personal healing.
Sunday is a day of empowerment. Decorate your altar or other special
place with yellow and white candles, rosemary, and marigold flowers.
Burn frankincense. As you light your candles, visualize the radiant
light of the Sun flowing through you, filling you with strong, healing
light. Imagine channeling this glorious light out into the world. Chant
the following:
Sunlight heal,
Sunlight shine,
Send your strength
To me and mine.
Repeat the chant as many times as you like. After the candles burn out,
keep the herbs and flowers on your altar for a while, then return them
to the earth with a blessing, envisioning them transferring healing
strength to soil, which spreads throughout the land.
