Blue Candle Healing Spell
Write the names of the people taking part on a blue candle. On a piece of parchment write a list of the things you wish to have healed. This can be specific or general. For you, someone else, or just the universe in general. Light the candle and see the energy being sent into the candle and leaving through the smoke and flame to carry out your will. Hold the paper to the flame to burn. As it does say:

Sunday, Monday(Full Moon): the Moon is in Pisces
Because Pisces rules (or is in charge of) the 12th house in the astrological circle and because the planets Venus and Mercury are in a relationship type of contact (opposite sign of Virgo) with the Moon, gentle reminders of things long past, things that are delightfully imagined, and things that are perhaps possible may drift into your mind's eye for contemplation. It's a good time to wander through biographies or autobiographies of people in whom you have an interest, if for no other reason than to see how much alike human beings can be. Make this Full Moon time as soft and comfortable as possible in all of your relationships and communications.
Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday am: the Moon is in Aries
There is no doubt about it, Aries likes to move around and tackle whatever is in the forefront of current vision. Aries rules the eyes and also physical activity. While the Moon is not always at ease in this sign, it does come around every month so take advantage of some direct and assertive energy that can be applied to a situation that could use a significant boost. Saturn, the planet that rules productive energy, is in the sign Libra and opposite the Moon in Aries, so between the two a lot can be accomplished this week. Often the Moon and Saturn are seen as the parental figures of the planets (Moon - mother, Saturn - father) and as such are often ready to firmly encourage that tasks be brought to fruition.
Thursday pm, Friday, Saturday: the Moon is in Taurus
Now the planet Jupiter jumps into an astrological mix with the Moon and brings a pleasant perspective of higher and broader insight or understanding. Jupiter is usually associated with interesting and fun activities as well as a strong desire for knowledge. The sign Taurus rules the throat and tongue, which when coupled with Mercury's presence in another earth sign, Virgo - meaning that it is 'trine' or in a very good aspect (connection) with the Moon's presence in Taurus, sets up a condition for solid, dependable information to either come your way or that you will be able to pass along something of value to someone else.

How To Flesh Out Your Magick
The body...just the thought of this topic sends a flood of emotions throughout my frame. My mind swirls with both the hideous and the wonderful. I'm a fat woman, and to say that I have a lot of issues around this topic would be a vast understatement.
I find myself shut out of the abundance of possibility that life is supposed to afford one because I am fat. A great many jobs are not available to me because I'm fat. Opportunities for love, affection, and intimacy are few and far between. Children taunt me, men insult me, and women live in fear that they will become like me.
Yet Paganism, to its credit, is more accepting of fat folk. There are a preponderance of fat women in the Pagan movement--a fact I find very interesting. Many of us find a safe haven in Goddess worship. It's a shocking and pleasant surprise to find images of the Goddess as a fat woman, and to learn that fat used to be valued as a sign of fertility, longevity, and even royalty in some cultures. In fact, the oldest Goddess image known is a representation of a fat woman (the Venus of Willendorff), and She looks like me. I often wear a necklace made in Her image to remind myself that I don't have to be thin to reflect the Goddess in physical form. Physical embodiment of the Goddess is important in our religion. We believe our deities to be at one with us and all of nature. We believe ourselves to be manifestations of the divine, and that the diversity of Her manifestation is not only important but necessary to sustaining life on the planet. We believe ourselves to be fit habitations for the divine when we channel (or aspect) Her during our rituals.
We use our bodies extensively when we work Magick as well. Magick isn't just some sort of mind game that takes place all in our heads. It's often a total body workout. Magick often works best when there is physical action involved with it. The majority of things found on the eight-fold path of Magick involve the body in some way. Even meditation, which we often think of as just some kind of head trip, involves the body. It won't work unless the body is comfortable. It can take the form of a moving meditation. Certain body postures enhance meditation. Incense, music, and/or rhythm are often used in meditation as well because they tap into bodily sensations that lead to or induce a meditative state.
Magick works best when all of bodily senses are involved. What we see, hear, smell, taste and touch within a ritual context enhances the ability to raise power and direct it to our cause. The sacred space we create needs to be aesthetically pleasing. We don't do well if we are distracted by clutter, don't like how the altar looks, are overcome by smoke or smell from the censer, having our nerves jangled by inappropriate music or sound, make a brew that is unpalatable, or find our clothing restrictive, scratchy, too warm, etc.
On the other hand, if we routinely use the same incense when meditating, the use of that scent will actually help induce a meditative state within us. The lighting of incense within a ritual context signals the body that Magick is about to take place and to prepare for that. Scent triggers memory, and if you use the same incense at the beginning of each ritual, or vary the incense with the type of magick being done, the body remembers that and will respond accordingly.
Witches are famous for using rhythm and dance to raise power. The witch trials are full of reported instances of women dancing with the devil, or jumping and hopping (flying) in a circle out under the Moonlight. Although no devil has ever been involved, rhythm and dance are favorite Magickal techniques. Why? Because Witches believe that the power raised to do Magick comes through our bodies. Our bodies become both a conduit and an accumulator of the energy necessary to complete the spell.
We begin slowly and gradually increase in speed. As the speed begins to increase, the heart rate increases, the blood pumps faster, respiration increases and the body begins to tingle and almost burst with energy. When the process is at its peak--i.e., before that energy turns to exhaustion and panting--the energy is released by abruptly stopping the movement and throwing the hands and arms skyward, or in the direction we'd like the Magick to go. The "grounding" which takes place after this release of energy is important because it allows the body to return to a resting state before continuing with the ritual. The heart slows, we stop panting and respiration gradually returns to normal, we stop sweating, the body stops tingling, and we feel ready to move on with the ritual.
For those of us who cannot dance for whatever reason, the same thing can be accomplished by using the body in other ways. The Breath of Fire, in which the inhalation and exhalation of breath is gradually increased in speed until we are literally panting and overfilled of air to be released at the call, also increases the heart rate/pulse and leads to the same bursting and tingling sensation that signals the time for release.
Singing and chanting, increasing in speed, volume and intensity will have the same effect, especially if accompanied by rhythm instruments in some kind of organized or coherent fashion. In this case, the words chanted or sung are just as important as the speed and volume in getting your Magickal point across. A steady drum beat can also be used to enhance meditation and Otherworld journeying.
Dancing can enhance our other mind work, too. Shapeshifting is often enhanced by dancing what you've become. It takes the experience out of the mind and anchors it in the body as well. Some Otherworld journeys need to be rooted in your body as well after you return from the journey itself.
Of course the other area in which our bodies play a great role in our religion and our Magick is our understanding of sex as a sacred act and a potentially Magickal act. We do not exclude the sacred from our bedrooms and our loving relationships. We can channel Goddess here as well, and learn to see our sexuality (whatever it may be) as a sacred gift as well as a sacred responsibility.
We believe our bodies are meant to give us pleasure of all kinds, and the senses we utilize in doing Magick are the same ones through which pleasure is experienced in our bodies. It is a grace given to us by Goddess. "It is no coincidence that we use the word grace both to describe physical beauty of movement and for a state of spiritual blessedness. When life-energy flows in its fullness through any living being, it manifests internally as pleasure and externally as grace. Grace and pleasure are natural attributes of the sacred..." This is a radical departure from conventional belief, and the thing that most scares others about Witchcraft.
We are in our bodies, and proud of it--no matter what that body looks like, or who it prefers to have sex with. Our bodies are vessels of the sacred, not the homes of sinful urges. Our bodies create and sustain the sacred. And that sacredness does not equate with any artificial notion of bodily perfection. All of us are fit habitations for the divine, no matter what the diet doctors, fitness gurus, health food fanatics, New Age healers, and the fashion police try to force on us.
If we don't take our bodies into account in our expression of Witchcraft, then it becomes a mere shadow of itself. When we are fully present in our bodies, Witchcraft becomes a three-dimensional, vibrant, fully fleshed-out expression of the divine, capable of the Magick we wish to enact.

Cob homes last for centuries. Cob is an ancient building material, consisting of clay, sand, straw, water, and earth, similar to adobe. Cob have been used for construction since prehistoric times.
Cob is found in many 18th-century homes in Wales, a number of 500-year-old homes are still inhabited, Wales, Devon and Cornwall in England, and Brittany in France. Cob buildings up to 1,000 years old are still in use in England.
No building system is earthquake-proof in New Zealand cob building has survived without a crack, major earthquakes which destroyed the town around them.
Cob Building maked with rocks for the foundation and walls usually 18-24 inches but can be built to any thickness desired, thick with deep-set windows, and to protect the cob from rain, the roofs, often thatched, have wide overhangs.
Cob can be mixed by hand, and by foot, and can also be mixed in a cement mixer, which is quite a bit faster.
No skilled labor or mechanized tools are necessary to build a cob home, Children and people of all ages have the abilities needed to build a cob home.

The Rite of Balance
The Lesser Banishing Ritual of the Pentagram (LBRP) is probably one of the
most common techniques for preparing sacred space that you'll encounter.
Often in the course of magical working or day-to-day life we have use for
methods of grounding and centering. While many of us learn the LBRP as a
traditional technique for this, as well as many other purposes, the LBRP is
not exactly the most obvious expression of Wiccan theology of philosophy. It
is compatible, but why not use something that is derived directly from a
Wiccan outlook and expresses a distinctly Wiccan philosophy? Here is one
alternative technique that is based on a Wiccan approach to the same task.
Below is the basic form of this rite, which can easily be adapted to suit
your particular tradition or style.
THE RITE OF BALANCE (Basic Form)
Face north. Reach upward and feel yourself making contact with a powerful,
brilliant source of light beyond the Sun, Moon, and stars. Say:
"From the heavens above I call down the light. Cleanse me and purify my soul
that I might enter the circle."
Pause. Feel. Reach down to the Earth below and extend yourself into the
core of the world to touch the heart of the planet. Say:
"From the depths below I call upon the spirit of the land. Fill me with
vitality and strength that I might serve the old gods."
Close your eyes and look deep within. Extend your right hand toward the
east. Say:
"With my right hand I reach out to the new dawn and welcome the wind to walk
with me, that I might know the Mysteries."
Extend your left hand toward the west. Say:
"And on the left, I reach out to the crashing waves of the sea, mother of all
life, that I might dare to dance with life's tides."
Pause. Feel. Breathe. Say:
"Behind me, I acknowledge the flames of my passions and drives, the forces of
ecstasy and creativity, of rage and chaos that have shaped my life. Now I
begin to shape their influence upon me, as I will."
Pause. Feel. Breathe. Say:
"Before me is the dark, fertile soil of my future. I stand upon a foundation
built by my ancestry. I am a child of the Ancient Ones, and I would bring
life, light, and love into the world whether through my words, my deeds, or
my silence."
Pause. Feel. Breathe. Say:
"I stand between wisdom and understanding, that I might pursue truth. I
share the gifts of compassion and discipline, that I might respect myself and
others. I embrace sensuality even as I pursue knowledge, that I might truly
taste and partake of life in its fullest. In my heart I seek beauty and
glory, that I might create balance and harmony in all that I do."
Pause. Feel. Breathe. Open your eyes and proceed.
Simple, yet effective, the Rite of Balance is useful for grounding and
centering in a group context, preparing for ritual work, or even after
driving home in rush-hour traffic. The words can easily be replaced with
others of similar intent. Ideally, you should modify this rite to be more
appropriate to the way you do magic. Think of it as a framework on which to
create your own, unique structure.
Once this basic form has been mastered, you might consider adjusting and
elaborating on it to create a wide range of special versions specifically for
self-purification, consecrating tools, performing spell-work, or in healing.
Use your intuition and imagination. More advanced forms of this Rite could
be used in initiations and special observances such as eldering. Again, take
what works and run with it--an it harm none; do as you will!
