So, I just recently got in a huge fight with 3 very important people in my life, and they all decided against me and cut me out of their life.  I know how it is when they hate someone...and they wish a lot of  bad things on someone they hate.  I'm 90% sure thats whats happening to me right now.  So can you please send me any information you have on how to be protected in a situation like this???

If you feel they are working magick against you, pee on a brick. If they have cursed you, peeing on it will cancel it.

You might want to try a witches jar. It acts as a psychic shield for you. And deflects back at the people causing you trouble all the negativity and ill will they are sending your way. I have used this in the past and it worked wonderfully well.

Get yourself a clean glass jar. Fill it up halfway with sharp objects, nails, broken glass, pins, tacks, ect. If you are not post menopausal try to get some of your menstrual blood in the jar. Then fill it to the top with your urine. Cap the jar tightly and use candle wax to seal the cap. Then pick an area outside that you know will not be disturbed. Bury the jar at least twelve inches deep.

This will keep your karma clean as you will not be doing anything to them. Their negativiry is what comes home to roost on their doorstep. I hope this helps.

Also, one way  to protect yourself from these people is to write their names on a piece of paper, put the names in the freezer in a ziploc bag and leave the bag there.

Hope this helps

Daily Feng Shui Tip for Wednesday, Oct. 12

Daily Feng Shui Tip by Ellen Whitehurst for Wednesday, October 12

Shorter early autumn days and longer cooler nights might have many of us pulling out the shawls and sweaters to finally replace those Indian summer swimsuits we've been traipsing around in for months. Just as the seasons shift, your wardrobe should do the same. Just be sure to remember that you must never wear anything that has outlived its own existence, no matter how old and dearly beloved. Any of your old (or new!) clothes that are torn, ripped or stained should be ousted along with the negative energies that Feng Shui says they can potentially create. According to this philosophy, old and tattered clothes are believed to possess 'poverty' energy, and as such will bring the wearer bad fortune and grim luck. So go ahead and gather all the clothes that have seen better days and get rid of them. You never know, the room you make in your closet by getting rid of your worn wardrobe might just see someone else's new one taking up some of that spare space. Just sayin'!

The light of a hundred stars cannot equal the light of the Moon.

Truth and Justice Spell

Posted by: "Lady Nightshayde" LadyNightshayde9@aol.com   nightshayde99

Wed Oct 12, 2011 11:01 am (PDT)

Truth and Justice

On this day in 1692, the governor of Massachusetts sent the letter that
ended the Salem Witch trials. In this season of remembering our
ancestors, take time at your altar to light two candlesâ€"one white and
one black. Light the white one for the victims of persecution, both
those falsely accused and those hunted for their beliefs. Light the
black one as a statement against intolerance, injustice, and violence.
Obtain a list of the names of those persecuted and executed during the
Salem Witch trials, the European Witch trials, and add names of people
you know who have been discriminated against because they practice magic
or are Wiccan, Asatru, Romani, Pagan, or even Jewish or Christian.
Remember the many nameless victims being falsely accused of witchcraft
even today in Africa, the Middle East, and India. Look at your list and
light your candles every day between now and Samhain.

Playful Wishes Bottle Spell

Posted by: "Lady Nightshayde" LadyNightshayde9@aol.com   nightshayde99

Playful Wishes Spell Bottle

A home where people know how to be playful, and where they have a sense of humor, is a welcoming place where you want to spend time. Use this spell bottle to help counterbalance the sometimes harmful effects a busy life can have on our psyche and family dynamics that overshadow the natural humor and lightheartedness in a household. To start, you'll need a small, wide-mouthed jar to serve as a container. Into the bottle go the following goodies, in order: beach sand, small shells, hemlock or other small cones and seed pods, and one butterfly wing. As you place them in the jar, remember the fun you had while gathering your items and imagine this playful energy infusing your home, making it more and more welcoming. Remember: Please don't harm a live butterfly in order to get its wing. Be patient and ask nature; in time, you will be provided with one.

At the first sign of a stuffy nose place 1 drop

This can sometimes even stop a cold from coming on.
For young children use Eucalyptus Smithi a much safer oil.

Putting the Spookiness Back in Halloween

Posted by: "Lady Nightshayde" LadyNightshayde9@aol.com   nightshayde99

Wed Oct 12, 2011 1:17 pm (PDT)

Putting the Spookiness Back in Halloween

The wind blows leaves across the path. The rains come early and often. There
is a bite in the air that wasn't there a month ago. Halloween is coming and
the veil between the worlds grows thin. Soon, the dead will walk the earth
once more.

As many Pagans celebrate their holidays by the Christian names Lammas (Mass
of the Loaves) and Candlemas (Mass of the Candles) instead of Lughnasad and
Brigid, I choose Halloween over the more traditional Samhain. In our
culture, it is Halloween that invokes the images of the dead rising again.
After a few years, I got tired of Samhain. Samhain, it seems to me, has
degenerated into a yearly "Let's have tea and cookies with dear dead Grandma
who just must have been a Witch even though she went to church every week."
Once again we would go to the Cauldron of Rebirth (or some other
transformative image) and get rid of our old selves and transform into our
new selves (just like we did in half of the other holidays in the year).

I wondered what was wrong. Why did I tell everyone that Halloween was my
favorite holiday when I didn't enjoy Samhain? Halloween is fun. It is a time
of power and mystery. It is spooks and goblins and all the darker sides of
life. Samhain is a sanitized happy trip to the Isle of Apples. I decided I
wanted Halloween again. I wanted the spookiness back.

Unlike any other Pagan holiday, Halloween is purely a time of death. The
harvest is done and the winter is coming. The wheel is turning to the dark
side and there isn't a damn thing you can do about it. (OK, OK - You can
jump across the wheel, by moving to the Southern Hemisphere, but that's
about it.) Everything that lives also dies. If you celebrate the life in the
trees, don't forget their death. Even the Fey will die if no one remembers
them. Halloween is the time to celebrate death. Death isn't just a path to
rebirth, it is a power in its own right. It gives meaning to life. On
Halloween we celebrate the passing of time and remember those who have lived
before.

At Halloween, the veil between the worlds grows thin. The dead cross back
into the land of the living. This means all the dead, not just those we
admire. For every great artist or inspirational thinker, there is also a
serial killer or slave trader. Not to mention a dozen or so completely
average dead who just want a night out. While your dear departed brother
comes back on Halloween, so does the idiot drunken jock that was driving
during the wreck that killed them both. The dead are both good and bad. It
is a powerful and scary thing to have them all wandering about again. In
times past, people left out Soul Cakes to appease the huge mass of dead out
on Halloween. The dead would take the Soul Cakes and not disturb the living.
This is important unless you are completely at peace with all your dead.
Modern Pagans often forget that there are lots of dead out there. How many
ancestors do you have? I have two parents, and they have two parents and so
on. How many of your living relatives are going to talk to the dead this
year? As you can see, there are many dead for each living pagan who wants to
talk to them. This doesn't even count all the friends, animals, and
miscellaneous spirits important to you, both good and bad. By always
concentrating on the same few usually human ancestors, you miss the richness
of Halloween.

With these ideas in mind I created the Ritual of the Forgotten Dead for
Halloween last year. The idea was to create a space where the dead who no
one ever remembers get a chance to be heard. It is a chance for you to
mingle outside your normal circle of friends, if you will. There are a few
different ideas here that I will talk about as they come up in the ritual.
Have fun. We are all going to die; celebrate it while you can! Make it as
spooky and mysterious as death is.

Ritual of the Forgotten Dead
Set up the space: Find an indoor space where you can have lots of candles.
Fill the space with candlelight and decorations, if you can. You will be
reading and writing by candlelight. Black candles are ideal, but any will
do. Decorations should make you think of death. Most normal Halloween
decorations, such as skeletons, spiders, etc., will work fine. Set up your
altar as normal for Persephone in Her Queen of the Dead aspect.

Cast the circle: My own preference is not to cast a circle for this ritual.
A circle keeps out the spirits that you don't specifically invoke. The idea
of the ritual is to talk to those same spirits. A circle seems
self-defeating. My circle-mates, on the other hand, were very nervous about
calling spirits without the protections that a circle provides. We cast the
circle. If you cast a circle, make it strong and be aware that later
Persephone will be opening a gate in it.
Invoke the elements: This is a ritual for the dead, and that includes the
elements. Concentrate on the "ghosts" of the various elements and be
creative. Try to see them in new ways from how you normally look at them.
Here are the invocations we used.

Ghosts of the Wind, Spirits of the West, I call you! By the fallen leaves
that mark your passing and the phantom of solar wind, come and join our
circle! Bring us your knowledge of the last breath we exhale in death!

Ghosts of the Fire, Spirits of the South, I call you! By the ashes of the
funeral pyre and death of the Sun in eclipse, come and join our circle!
Bring us the passion of a flame burnt briefly bright, but now blackened and
cold!

Ghosts of the Water, Spirits of the West, I call you! By the concealing
mists of water evaporated and bones and silt of a dry riverbed, come and
join our circle! Bring us the secret wisdom of a body washed up on the
shore!

Ghosts of the Earth, Spirits of the North, I call you! By the sand of
mountains destroyed and the dust in an age old grave, come and join our
circle! Bring us the still strength of the wreckage after an avalanche or
earthquake!

Invoke the Goddess:
There are a few possible choices here, but I chose Persephone. It is as
Queen of the Dead that Persephone came into her own. She cast off her
"flower child" upbringing and became co-ruler of the Underworld. It was
Persephone, not Hades, who let Euridice go because of the beauty of Orpheus'
music. Hecate, the popular pagan choice for Queen of the Dead, represents a
significant misreading of the relevant mythology. Hecate was the Witches'
Goddess. She found the way to the Underworld, but did not rule there. She
didn't even lead the dead there, that was one of Hermes jobs. Hel would work
well in this ritual if you like the Norse mythology. She was the sole ruler
of the original Hell that bears her name. Reincarnation death goddesses like
Kali should be avoided as their dead always walk the earth as their new
reincarnated selves. Here is the invocation we used. Pomegranates should be
avoided lest the invocation get out of hand.

Lady Persephone, Queen of the Dead, we call You! You whose passing turns the
Wheel. Beautiful queen who rules the Evermoor, come join our circle this
night so that we may give voice to Your chosen. Come and join us Persephone,
on this Your night!

Invoke the God: Actually, I prefer not to invoke the God in this ritual.
Following the Wheel of the Year, the God is dead now, and not yet reborn.
The god candle on the altar should just be left unlit, preferably with a
burnt wick symbolizing that His time came and went. If you really want a
God, Hades, the husband of Persephone, would be a good choice. Lugh or
Jesus, both in ghostly form, might also work as gods who have died and led
the way out of death.
The working: Here is where the spirits get to speak. Tell Persephone that
the time is now. Ask her to open the Gates to the Underworld and bring to
the circle those forgotten dead who most deserve to speak. Let Her do the
choosing and calling. Here is the form we used.

Lady Persephone, Queen of the Dead, the time is now! Open Your gates as You
did for Euridice, and let Your people out! Bring to us those who most need
voice, those deserving forgotten dead who have too long been silent! Bring
them to us that we might do Your work and guard us from those spirits who
might do us ill. Bring out Your dead, and protect us from all harm!

Each person should light a candle in front of them and begin automatic
writing* by its light. Do this for no more than five minutes. If you haven't
practiced, five minutes is a long time to automatic write. Whoever has been
calling Persephone should remain outside the working to monitor energy,
watch for problems, and watch the clock. This kind of working is a bit much
for some people and having someone "taking care of things" will help matters
along. Don't worry, the spirit show is just as fun inside as out. After five
minutes, call a stop and talk to Persephone again. Ask her to get rid of all
the spirits and protect us from them. If you are not careful about doing so,
this is a good way to get haunted.

Lady Persephone, Queen of the Dead, let the Wheel turn again and return Your
people to Your Realm. We have given voice to Your people, now gather from us
from those who would stay as You gathered Euridice after Orpheus turned.
Lady Persephone, recall Your people and close Your gates!
Now everyone can sit and share. Give voice to the spirits by reading their
words to each other. If you wish, now is a good time to do libations (food
and drink), being careful to leave some for Persephone. This should be fun.
The spirits say odd things. Share and enjoy.

Dismiss Everything: As usual, dismiss the God (if called), Persephone, the
Elements, and open the circle (if cast). The dismissals are usually based on
the invocations so I'm not going to repeat all of them.

The idea with this ritual is to have fun and revel in the unique energies of
Halloween. It is a time of death and the dead, so celebrate them. There no
need to weaken death by only seeing the rebirth aspects or to pretend that
all the dead are happy-mommy guidance figures. Halloween is awesome and
potent. The mysteries of death are seen in the raging heart of the storm as
well as the quiet nighttime passing of a loved one. Halloween rituals should
reflect this.

*Automatic Writing
Automatic writing is a way to get at hidden things. By yourself, it can act
as a way of getting at your unconscious mind or helping you to see things in
a different way. With the proper energies invoked, it can act as a form of
divination like tarot cards or scrying. If you use it with spirits around,
it can allow them a voice to speak, kind of like a Ouija board. In the end,
it is just another tool any witch should have in her cauldron to use as she
sees fit.
Remove any distractions from your area. Sit somewhere you can write. Put the
paper down and put the pen on it. Focus your mind on your idea. If you are
doing introspection, hold your image in mind. If you are doing divination,
think of the Fates, or Nemesis, or a clock, or whatever imagery seems
appropriate to you. If you are communing with the spirits, think of them.
Write whatever word first pops into mind. Then write whatever word second
pops into mind. Repeat as necessary.
The key here is not to think about the words at all. Just write them as they
occur. Try not to even think about what they mean, otherwise you will start
directing things. If you find yourself doing word associations like
dog-cat-food-pizza-pepperoncini-pepper-salt-sea-etc...your mind is
interfering. Don't try to link the words or find meanings. There is plenty
of time for that when you are done. Just take it one word at a time and try
not to think about what comes next. If you get stuck, just write anything.
The act of writing may start the flow again. This is not easy. Five minutes
is a long time to do this, so don't get discouraged.
When you are done, look at what you have written. It will probably be weird.
Read as many hidden meanings and subtle nuances into it as you see fit. Some
stuff will probably be cool, some will be really stupid. Take whatever is
meaningful to you. If you are not linguistically inclined, it can be done in
other media. I've seen artists just add random picture after picture to a
page and then try to make sense of it at the end. It can even work for
typing at a computer. With that in mind....
I see a dog with a scarf before me. He has a balloon near by. At a beach,
the river ends.

The Silent Supper

The Silent Supper

Samhain speaks to us of strong emotions; death, resurrection, of deeply cloaked energies, of shining hope for the future. It is a New Years celebration; our will to face the specter of death without tremor and our desire to know those things that others fear to see.

One of the most inspiring rituals performed at Samhain rises from the enactment of the Silent Supper. Along with places set for human guests, the table also holds places for those who have passed beyond the veil. The chair at the head of the table, shrouded in black (or white, as you desire) signifies the place of deity.

Five rules exist for the Silent Supper:

1. The Silent Supper should take place in an area that you have made sacred by prayer or other means.

2. All plates, napkins, glasses, and the tablecloth should be black.

3. No one may speak from the moment they enter the feast room. Each person participating should leave the room in silence after the ritual.

4. The feast takes place in candlelight or lamplight.

5. Each living guest should bring a prayer, written on a three-by-five inch card or small piece of paper, for their ancestors or loved ones. Each living guest can also bring a divination tool of their choice.

The timing of the feast depends on your discretion. Some individuals choose midnight of October 30, October 31, November 4, or November 7. All of these dates coincide with various traditional observances. The number of guests also depends on your choices. You may wish to enact the Silent Supper with family members only, or a group of close friends. This feast works well as a pot luck, where each guest brings a cooked dish of their choice, or you can provide a menu and allow guests to choose what they would like to bring.

Before the supper begins, put a black votive candle on the plate at each empty place, and a white votive candle on the plate at the head of the table. The head of the table represents Spirit or deity. Place your hands on the shrouded chair and invite Spirit into the area. Walk to each place set aside for your ancestors, touch the chair, and explain that this ritual will be done in their honor. The host or hostess of the feast sits in the chair opposite Spirit.

As each person enters the room, they should touch the chair of Spirit, then walk to the ancestral places, putting their prayers under the plate. They may wish to stop and contemplate at a particular chair, say a prayer in their minds, or simply send loving energy.

After everyone has taken a place, all living guests should join hands and pray silently for the blessing of the meal and those present, both living and dead. The host and hostess serve the empty plates, beginning at the head of the table. Continue to serve the living guests in order of age, from oldest to youngest.

Because verbal communication doesn't exist during the feast, the host or hostess carries the responsibility of the needs of the living. You may wish to arrange items normally passed throughout a meal (bread, butter, salt, pepper, condiments, and so on) at both ends of the table to lessen any difficulties experienced by the diners. During the meal, the host or hostess should quietly observe the others present to ascertain anything they might need, such as an extra napkin for a slight spill or the refill of a drink.

At the end of the feast, those at the table again join hands, silently asking for the blessings of Spirit on the living and the dead. On the lead from the host or hostess, the diners leave the feast area. They may wish to stop at the empty places or at the ancestral altar before they leave.

After the diners leave the room, the host or hostess thanks Spirit. They guests may now re-enter the room and help to clean up, perhaps sharing their impressions or any messages they have received during the feast. After dessert has been served and you have cleared the table, it's time to break out the divination tools. Guests can separate by pairs, or you can perform a group divination. Allow the candles to burn until the last guest has gone home, then snuff each candle. Dispose of the candle ends in a living body of water or bury them off your property.

Although you may think that the Silent Supper will only work for a group of people, this is not the case. A solitary Silent Supper carries as much impact, if not more, when performed with love in your heart.

The Silent Supper creates a deeply moving ceremony, teaches group interaction without speech, and allows you to honor those who have passed from this realm to the next as well as acknowledge that Spirit moves with us always, from birth through death.

Samhain Goodies

Samhain Goodies

Witches' Brew

The offering of wine, ale, water, cider, or other fruit juice used for religious symbolism dates back to Paleopagan times. As an example, in Scotland on Samhain Eve (relating to the Isle of Lewis), inhabitants would take a chalice of ale brewed for the occasion and enter the sea up to their waists. There, they would speak the words of invocation to the God/Goddess of the sea, asking for blessings and protection, and then pour the contents of the chalice into the waters. Even during the early Christian era, this practice remained alive--the priest offering the ale to the mysterious power of the ocean and, of course, unto the God whom they believed created those seas.

If you would like to design a ritual for yourself along the lines of the sacred communion, you may wish to make the brew listed below. Apple cider has long been used as a libation to the Earth Goddess and deity in general. The apple (prized food of the unicorn) brings health, love, and wisdom to those who taste its enchanting juices.

1 gallon apple cider (love)
1 orange (love)
1 apple (love)
3 cinnamon sticks (love and psychic powers)
1/8 teaspoon nutmeg (fidelity)
1 handful rose petals (love)
1 big pot

Pour apple cider into a large kettle. Peel orange and squeeze its juice into cider, discarding the pulp. Tear the orange peel into 1-inch strips, and add to mixture. Core apple and cut into 1/4 inch slices. Add to mixture. Break the cinnamon sticks in half. Add to mixture. Add nutmeg. Warm over low heat for 2 hours. Do not bring to a boil. Stir often, saying:

From the moon to the vine
From the vine to the fruit
From the fruit to this brew
May the Lady send her blessings
May the Lord grant your desires.

Serve warm from Pumpkin Punch Bowl (listed next). Sprinkle with rose petals.

Pumpkin Punch Bowl

In magickal traditions the cauldron represents purification and transformation. Use a pumpkin to represent your cauldron at your next Samhain ritual or for that great Halloween party.

2 glow in the dark sticks
1 large pumpkin (abundance)
1 heat resistant punch bowl that will fit inside the pumpkin (cauldron of transformation)

Hollow out pumpkin, and carve a design in it. Place punch bowl inside pumpkin. Right before the party begins activate the glow in the dark sticks per package instructions and place between pumpkin shell and bowl. Add enchanted Witches' brew!

Easy Enchanted Punch

8 cups cranberry juice (health and love)
6 cups apple cider (love)
6 cinnamon sticks (psychic powers)
6 orange slices (luck)
1 liter ginger ale (success)
1 tray of ice cubes

Pour cranberry juice and apple cider into a large bowl. Break the cinnamon sticks in half. Put one cinnamon stick and one piece of orange in each cube holder. Fill an ice cube tray with some of the cranberry-apple mixture. Freeze. Refrigerate remaining punch mixture in bowl. Before serving, add ginger ale and ice cubes.

Mozelle's Party Pumpkin

It takes approximately one hour to "dress" the pumpkin. This is something for the kids to do while you're running around with other preparations.

An assortment of block cheeses
Ring bologna or other lunch meat
1 can pitted black olives (protection)
1 jar small, sweet gherkins (healing)
2 boxes round toothpicks
1 medium sized pumpkin (abundance)

Cut the cheese and meat into 1/2 inch blocks. Put a piece of cheese or meat on a toothpick. Top with olive or pickle. Insert the free end of the toothpick into the pumpkin. Continue this procedure until your pumpkin is covered with these fun party snacks!

Thoughts for the Day

From middle age on, everything of interest is either illegal, immoral or fattening.

Middle age is the awkward period when Father Time starts catching up with Mother Nature.

How to Make a Soul Cake for Samhain

How To Make a Soul Cake for Samhain
By Patti Wigington, About.com

Soul cakes were traditionally baked as a gift for the spirits of the dead. In many European countries, the idea of "Souling" became an acceptable alternative for Christians. The cakes took many different names and shapes -- in some areas, they were simple shortbread, and in others they were baked as fruit-filled tarts. Still other regions made them of rice flour. Generally, a soul cake was made with whatever grain the community had available. You can make your own with one of these four simple recipes.

Difficulty: Easy
Time Required: 1 hour
Here's How:

Pie Crust Soul Cakes
You'll need:

A refrigerated roll-out pie crust
2 Tbs. melted butter
1 C mixed dried fruit
2 Tbs honey

Roll out the pie crust and cut it into circles. Use the circles to line a tin of muffin cups. Mix the butter, fruit and honey together. Scoop the fruit mixture into the pastry shells, and then bake for 15 minutes at 375 degrees. Allow to cool for about ten minutes before eating.

Quickie Shortbread Soul Cakes
You'll need:

1 stick of butter, softened
4 Tbs sugar
1 1/2 C flour

Cream together the butter and sugar. Use a flour sifter to add the flour to the bowl, and mix until it's smooth. Divide the dough into two parts, and shape each half into a flat circle about half an inch thick. Put them on an ungreased baking sheet (baking stones are really nice for this) and poke lines with the tines of a fork, making eight separate wedges in each cake. Bake for 25 minutes or until light brown at 350 degrees.

Buttery Soul Cakes
You'll need:

Two sticks butter, softened
3 1/2 C flour, sifted
1 C sugar
1/2 tsp. nutmeg & saffron
1 tsp each cinnamon & allspice
2 eggs
2 tsp malt vinegar
Powdered sugar

Cut the butter into the flour with a large fork. Mix in the sugar, nutmeg, saffron, cinammon and allspice. Lightly beat eggs, and add to flour mixture. Add malt vinegar. Mix until you have a stiff dough. Knead for a while, then roll out until 1/4" thick. Use a floured glass to cut out 3" circles. Place on greased baking sheet and bake 25 minutes at 350 degrees. Sprinkle with powdered sugar while the cakes are still warm.

Irish Cakes
You'll need:

4 C flour
1 pkt active dry yeast
1 C milk
2 Tbs butter
1/2 tsp each cinnamon & salt
3/4 C sugar
1/2 C lemon zest
1 1/4 C golden raisins

Cream yeast with 1 tsp sugar & 1 tsp milk, let it get frothy. Blend flour, spices, & salt together, then cut in butter. Add the rest of the sugar to the flour mix and blend. Add milk & beaten egg onto the yeast mixture; combine with flour mixture. Beat until stiff.
Fold in raisins and zest, cover with a damp cloth and let rise. Divide in two, place each half in greased 7" round pan. Cover, let rise again for 30 minutes. Bake 1 hour at 400 degrees.

Recurring Dreams

Posted by: "maigrey" ladymaigrey@yahoo.com   ladymaigrey

Wed Oct 12, 2011 1:25 pm (PDT)

Greetings!

I have a question about how to handle recurring dreams. Is there some
kind of meditation or ritual that might aid me?

For over a decade, I've had these recurring dreams - always about the
same person (a guy I went to school with, had an unrequited crush on
him, he ended up borking a cheerleader and I lost interest). I realize
my 'first crush' experience was important as a teenager, and the way
things happened left a bit of a scar on my soul. Teenage girls can be
so very cruel, as we all know. ;)

What I don't understand is why I'm still having these dreams about this
person. They are usually non-sexual, but involve us being close
friends, etc. I guess it's not that disturbing, but I wish them to
stop. I have tried several methods to try and 'get past' this -
journaling, and talk therapy.

I am quite happy in my life, and I have no idea why this keeps
happening. I've been married for ten years, and I'm way too old to be
having dreams about silly high school crushes. ;)

Feels silly writing this, but I just had another one of these dreams
last night and I was hoping someone here may have some advice for me.
Thanks for reading!

Amanda

Amanda,

I've had dreams like that often. What I've realized is that it's not the
person so much as the feeling. Maybe there's something going on in your
life when you have these dreams that makes your subconscious want to remind
you of those days. For me, they usually happen when I'm feeling overwhelmed
by life - bills, kids, etc. - and my brain reminds me of a time when I was
free, and innocent.
