basketballs, hoola hoops, whatever!) An offering for the Samhain
Ancestor's Altar (flowers, fruit, a drawing, coins, treats, etc.)

big parking lot. The blue swirl is the playground and the rooftop next
to it is the picnic gazebo we've rented for the day. The little building

Directions

Use Bethel Mill & Delsea Drive intersection in your GPS. Hurffville
is the town. Enter from the Bethel Mill Road entrance, or else you will
have to walk about 100-200 feet from the other parking lot. It smack
between Sewell, Pitman, and Glassboro. Five minutes from 55, 47, and 10
minutes from 42. Very easy to get to, very beautiful park.

Small Disclaimer: Your children are YOUR responsibility. There is a
jungle gym and activity center at this location. It is "play at your own
risk." Also, there is a creek nearby which is not fenced off. It is not
within view of the play area, but young people can wander off and find
it in a matter of minutes. PLEASE keep an eye on your little ones, and
some of your bigger ones :) teenagers are notorious for this too!

Funny, i was flipping thru my BoS for things to copy and pass on to the
friend of a friend who has no charger for her laptop, and a cell phone only
has so much space. figured i'd share it, and then this shows up in my inbox
before i can type it up. I'm not a mother in the sense that i've given birth
and raised a child, but i do keep an eye out for some of the people of my
brother's generation, and have one friend who calls me "Mom" even though i'm
not quite old enough to be her mom. She does it because i tell her the
truth, and the things i have learned and tried, and because if you're
special to me, i will answer my phone for you 24/7 for any reason. Mom's and
Dad's never really get a day off, will always have their patience and
creativity stretched to the max, and will never regret a moment of time they
spent doing it. I've been a nanny before, in an informal sense. I raised 2
children for almost 2 years while the mother worked to provide for the
family. I learned! I may not be a mother, or a grandmother, but i can share
what i have now with those who ask questions, just like a child. :) BB,

NJP, Please send her Healing and Strength, she is in ICU from abscess
burst in her stomach, emergency surgery I heard will find out more,
she's still not awake in the ICU unit so please come together and light a candle for our friend and Family!

UPDATE....AS OF NOW....Thank you all participating, Please continue the energy, Kerry has waken up and still groggy, Gary her husband said they are trying to stabilize her sugar/insulin and got her to drink shakes, once she's more aware he'll let me know. She knows where she is and what's going on but still a little out of it but she's awake! Thank you again and please continue the circle!

Practical Magick II now expanding , Pompton Lakes NJ

Hello all-

So much news to tell you. We are expanding yet
again. We are now offering a boutique section of the store located in the space
where we used to do the classes. We are now offering the classes/workshops next
store to us on our right. SO we have 3 store fronts now.

The boutique section has many
wonderful things like blouses, skirts, pants, custom made T-shirts,
custom made tote bags and custom made backpacks. Check out the website for some
pictures. Your best bet would be to stop by and see for yourself. Everything is
one-of-a-kind.

Speaking of one-of-a-kind items, we are now
offering Goddess "stuff" bags, wine bags and pajama pants. All hand sewn by
Vivian of "So You". They are amazing. We have a very special limited edition
wine bag that says Happy Halloween on one side and Blessed Samhain on the other
side. We will stop selling it on November 1st. She will be making a different
wine bag for each holiday.

So much more stuff to come.

Also, just a reminder that Dowsing class
starts this Friday and is a 2 week course.

We are also offering Yoga twice a week, Thursdays
at 6 pm and Saturdays at 10 am.

Coming soon---Tarot card class, Astrology class and
feng shui class all with Vikki Anderson. Also, Palmistry class with Ramazan.
Past life regression with Bridget.

Psychic fair is Sunday, October 23rd from 10
am - 6 pm.

About Fons: This Roman Goddess of fountains holds a special place in today's
festivities, when people gather around her in the spirit of community
gratitude for the refreshment that Fons provides in all seasons.

To Do Today: This ancient Roman festival gives thanks for fresh drinking water, and
many of its traditions are easily assimilated. For example,
customarily, fresh flowers were tossed in flowing water sources to thank the spirit of Fons that abides therein. So, toss a flower into your
hose water, a stream, or a fountain. Or, float a flower atop a beverage today to honor Fons as part of that drink.

Fons's waters are also
known for healing, cleansing, and wish granting. To generate
well-being, include as many water-based foods and beverages in your diet today as possible. This allows you to partake of Fons's healing
powers. For wishes, give the goddess a token (like a coin or flower
petals) and whisper your desire to her waters. For cleansing, take a
hot bath or shower so her waters will carry away your tensions.

Finally, you might want to focus on improving your water supply today. Buy a water filter, get some bottled water, bless your water jugs, or do something else along
these lines so that Fons can cleanse and purify everyone in your home.

Fontanalia

A Roman festival honoring the freshwater goddesses, the Camenae, oracular
water-nymphs. Probably at one time this was a full moon festival
(because of the date which would fall on the full moon if the months
started as they once did with a new moon on the 1st). Wells and springs
were garlanded.

Decorate your water sources. Use water as a means of divination, by scrying, gazing into a bowl of water looking for images.

Scrying:
Scrying is a form of divination where you focus on an object. In The Spiral
Dance, Starhawk suggest focusing on a crystal ball, a bowl of ink, a
dark bowl filled with water or a mirror with a black-painted surface.
For best results, dim the lights in the room or light a candle. Burning
incense may also help to create the appropriate atmosphere.
I've never had much success with scrying but Starhawk says it takes several sessions before anything
happens and I've only tried it once or twice. I know it requires a
certain attitude of letting go, of seeing without looking, an indirect
attention. After all you don't really see the images with your physical
vision but with your psychic vision.

According to Starhawk, after
a time the crystal ball (or surface of the water) clouds over. For some
people the clouds clear and images appear. Others close their eyes and
see images with the inner eye. To end, let the clouds return, then
disperse.
As with all forms of trance (and other magical techniques
that involve traveling between the worlds) cast a circle before you
begin and be sure that you are in a safe place where you will not be
disturbed.

Luisah Teish in her book Jambalaya describes her
method for scrying. She recommends a clear glass chalice or bowl, washed
in salt water and allowed to drip dry. You charge the water with you
breath by inhaling while holding the edges of the bowl, then exhaling
and pushing the breath through your palms and into the water. Light a
white candle and place it to one side of the bowl. Sit in a relaxed
position and look into the glass through the sides and top. At the
start, do this for five minutes, then stretch the time to fifteen
minutes.
