I have been made the new publicity rep for Immanion Press/Megalithica Books
and hope that it is okay that I post our releases. I would like to offer the
chance for other authors to contact me if they are looking to get
information about publishing books. I know that there is always a demand for

Congratulations Frances, I haven't been able to break into Circle Magazine,
although I must say I haven't tried in more recent years. So congrats again.

~Caroline.

Greetings All

(Apologies for the xposting)

I don't know how many actually subscribe to the US magazine CIRCLE,

produced by Selena Fox's Circle Sanctuary - but if you do, in the

current Fall issue, my article on sound can be found.

http://www.circlesanctuary.org/circle/

Not a scholarly magazine, but then again, I am not a scholar myself ...

however I am delighted all the same so though I would share with those

who are interested.

Blessings - Frances

The problem is, it may have a large capacity for text, but how many author's signatures can I get on it before I can't see the screen anymore?

You've just made my 400 + signed book collection... and my 45 + signed LP collection... and my 20 + signed DVD collection worthless

I shall write to all the artists who were stoked to see themselves in a photo of my bookcase and tell them their signatures have been rendered obsolete in the digital revolution...

Hi Caroline,

It is because the big water tank up at the site is filled periodically
by the fire brigaed, and their tankers are mixed with fire retardant.
The concentration is pretty low, but I wouldn't want to boil it up (eg
for tea/coffee) and then drink it as you'll effectively be increasing
the concentration.

Cheers,
Wolf.

Not being a insider to the ways of Parks nor the CFA, in essence I cannot tell you. Suffice to say that yes water is a fire retardant but not in every case. Depending on the accelerant used or responsible I guess. Bill would know more about that stuff by the looks. Yeah its inconvenient but such is life at times <shrugs> I'm just happy that the Mount is there really :)

Cheers

Mary, I just have to ask. why, oh WHY, is there fire retardant in the water
taps at Mt Franklin. When did this happen? It's *so inconvenient*!!!!!!
Isn't water itself a fire retardant? It seems crazy to me as it means,
essentially, that there is no water for drinking in this public, well.. It's
pretty much a park.

Hi all,

Just a notice that Parks Victoria have notified us that due to recently
changed by-laws (grrr!!) there can be no commercial venture that takes place
on the Mount. Therefore we will be unable to endorse a market unfortunately.
Sorry to all those that planned to sell sell sell, but there's nought to be
done about it alas.

It will still be an amazing weekend however!

Their visitor guide
(http://svc015.wic028p.server-web.com/resources05/05_0339.pdf)
specifically recommends bringing drinking water, or knowing how to make
untreated water safe for drinking - it doesn't mention fire-retardant,
but it would be worth pursuing this with Parks Vic if it was a concern.
It does indicate the water is available for washing however.

Personally I'd just bring safe drinking water.

Cheers,
Wolf.
