A number of the EarthSong WitchCamp Collective and Melbourne Reclaiming members are attending the Occupy
Melbourne protest in the City Square to stand in solidarity with our US
sisters and brothers in Wall St, and to stand up against corporate greed in this country and around the world.

We are putting out the
call to anyone who feels called to this action to join us in creating a
Pagan Cluster - Pagans, Witches and Activists all! Bring your drums,
signs, banners and magick!

Books

I too love my books, to be surrounded by them in their various bookcases. To pick up and smell them and to lay in bed and read turning the pages and stroking my dogs with my other hand(alternately) I am not in the least interested in the new technology. I have found that too many books, records and films vanish into the ether as techno people decide which book/film/record needs to be re-released. I love musty books and book covers and the illustrations therein.
I also adore my records, Cds are mainly played in the car otherwise it is records all the way. I prefer the sound and all that rubbish about Cds being better. I have had records for years (and years) that are still very playable whereas some Cds one has for a little while and they go ballistic and no longer play.
And although a relatively new thing but I enjoy VHS basically because one can get to watch older films. One goes into a DVD rental store and all the films are newish and one cannot find a decent old film, and that is one from the sixties or seventies I am not even talking about Dr Caligari or Farewell my lovely. So I have to hunt out older films on ebay or op shops.
With new technology so much is lost and that is such a shame. So I will keep my bookshelves filled to the brim and bugger the removalists (after all they get paid to move your stuff)

I haven't been to the mount for 10 years, but I doubt that the water quality has changed for the better.
Its OK to wash with, but don't drink it, its VERY bad! (and water purifying tabs etc will not help!)
