Higher Truth
Adaptability Peace
Take
a deep breath and let the spirit of the koala fill you.
Click here to Listen to the Koala's Song.
Welcome the
gifts of the koala into your life. From his life high in the tall
gum trees,
the koala brings very unique and powerful energy.
The koala
brings you the power to lift yourself up out of your everyday concerns and take
the longer view. He will help you to live closer to your higher beliefs,
immersing yourself in spirit every day as you go about your life. With the
koala energy within you, every thought and every choice is infused with your
personal truth, brought close to you through your proximity to your higher self.
The koala is
also a master at adaptation. Koala power will allow you to fit seamlessly into
life, adapting to your chosen environment with ease, at one with the community
and the environment around you. Conflicts will dissolve as you find you are
able to balance being exactly who you are in this world with your higher view of
life. For with koala power, you are comfortable in both worlds, that of the
earth and that which touches the heavens.
The koala is
also an excellent sleeper. If ever you have trouble sleeping, pull in koala
energy and let it infuse you and allow you to sleep long and peacefully,

Quado's Garden: Opportunity Surrounds You

Opportunity Surrounds You
You are, right
now,
standing in opportunity. It is all around you. At this age, at this weight,
with these resources, you are surrounded by opportunity. There are doors and
windows flying open all around you.
The larger arc of your life
is one of constant renewal and opportunity. But this moment, right now, is
utterly unique, and the talents you have right now and the types of
opportunities which surround you in this moment are here for this moment only.
And so, you must take a deep breath and step through a door, take some action,
allow yourself to act on those dreams.
If you do not fully believe
in yourself, that is all right. Act as if you do. Act as if you are completely
confident. Pretend to be the person you aspire to be and the universe will
respond. And as the response comes, you will begin to actually be this person
you aspire to be. And the response will contain within it both the seeds for
your growth and the seeds for your success. You will be praised for some things
and given advice on others. All of this is the fruit of action.
Do not let this moment turn
into a moment of regret. Do not let this moment be one that you look back on
with longing, wondering how you could have missed the signs, how you could have
doubted yourself and been so afraid. Let this be a moment you look back on with
pride, proud of the courage you had to step out and act, even though you were
uncertain in many ways, even though you had to take a deep, deep breath to
overcome your fear.

Sunday's Blue Moon

The Really Strange Story Behind Sunday's Blue Moon
Joe Rao
SPACE.com Skywatching Columnist
SPACE.com joe Rao

space.com Fri Nov 19, 4:15 pm ET
The full moon of November
arrives on Sunday and will bring with it a cosmic addition: It will also be a so-called
"blue moon."
"But wait a minute,"
you might ask. "Isn't a 'blue
moon' defined as the second full moon that occurs during a calendar
month? Sunday's full moon falls on Nov. 21 and it will be the only full
moon in November 2010. So how can it be a 'blue' moon?"
Indeed, November's
full moon is blue moon â" but only if we follow a rule that's now somewhat
obscure.
In fact, the current "two-
full moons in one month" rule has superseded an older rule that would
allow us to call Sunday's moon "blue." To be clear, the moon does not
actually appear a blue color during a blue moon, it has to do with lunar mechanics.
Confused yet?
Well, as the late Paul
Harvey used to say â" here now, is the rest of the story:
The blue moon rule
Back
in the July 1943 issue of Sky & Telescope magazine, in a question and
answer column written by Lawrence J. Lafleur, there was a reference made to the
term "blue moon." [Gallery
- Full Moon Fever]
Lafleur cited the unusual
term from a copy of the 1937 edition of the now-defunct Maine Farmers' Almanac
(NOT to be confused with The Farmers' Almanac of Lewiston, Maine, which is
still in business).
On the almanac page for August
1937, the calendrical meaning for the term "blue moon" was given.
That explanation said that
the moon "... usually comes full twelve times in a year, three times for
each season."
Occasionally, however, there
will come a year when there are 13 full moons during a year, not the usual 12. The
almanac explanation continued:
"This was considered a
very unfortunate circumstance, especially by the monks who had charge of the
calendar of thirteen months for that year, and it upset the regular arrangement
of church festivals. For this reason thirteen came to be considered an unlucky
number."
And with that extra full
moon, it also meant that one of the four seasons would contain four full moons
instead of the usual three.
"There are seven Blue
Moons in a Lunar Cycle of nineteen years," continued the almanac,
ending on the comment that, "In olden times the almanac makers had much
difficulty calculating the occurrence of the Blue Moon and this uncertainty
gave rise to the expression 'Once in a Blue Moon.'"
An unfortunate oversight
But while LaFleur quoted the
almanac's account, he made one very important omission: He never specified
the date for this particular blue moon.
As it turned out, in 1937,
it occurred on Aug. 21. That was the third full moon in the summer of 1937, a
summer season that would see a total of four full moons.
Names were assigned to each
moon in a season: For example, the first moon of summer was called the early
summer moon, the
second was the midsummer moon, and the last was called the
late summer moon.
But when a particular season
has four moons, the third was apparently called a blue moon so that the fourth
and final one can continue to be called the late moon.
So where did we get the "two
full moons in a month rule" that is so popular today?
A moon mistake
Once again, we must turn to
the pages of Sky & Telescope.
This time, on page 3 of the
March 1946 issue, James Hugh Pruett wrote an article, "Once in a Blue
Moon," in which he made a reference to the term "blue moon" and
referenced LaFleur's article from 1943.
But because Pruett had no
specific full moon date for 1937 to fall back on, his interpretation of the
ruling given by the Maine Farmers' Almanac was highly subjective. Pruett
ultimately came to this conclusion:
"Seven times in 19
years there were â" and still are â" 13 full moons in a year. This gives 11
months with one full moon each and one with two. This second in a month, so I
interpret it, was called Blue Moon."
How unfortunate that Pruett
did not have a copy of that 1937 almanac at hand, or else he would have almost
certainly noticed that his "two full moons in a single month assumption"
would have been totally wrong.
For the blue moon date of
Aug. 21 was most definitely not the second full moon that month!
Blue moon myth runs wild
Pruett's 1946 explanation
was, of course, the wrong interpretation and it might have been completely
forgotten were it not for Deborah Byrd who used it on her popular National
Public Radio program, "StarDate" on Jan. 31, 1980.
We could almost say that in
the aftermath of her radio show, the incorrect blue moon rule "went viral"
â" or at least the '80s equivalent of it.
Over the next decade, this
new blue
moon definition started appearing in diverse places, such as the World
Almanac for Kids and the board game Trivial Pursuit.
I must confess here, that
even I was involved in helping to perpetuate the new version of the blue moon
phenomenon. Nearly 30 years ago, in the Dec. 1, 1982 edition of The New York
Times, I made reference to it in that newspaper's "New York Day by Day"
column.
And by 1988, the new definition
started receiving international press coverage.
Today, Pruett's
misinterpreted "two full moons in a month rule" is recognized worldwide.
Indeed, Sky & Telescope turned a literary lemon into lemonade, proclaiming later
that â" however unintentional â" it changed pop culture and the English language
in unexpected ways.
Meanwhile, the original Maine
Farmers' Almanac rule had been all but forgotten.
Playing by the (old) rules
Now, let's come back to this
Sunday's full moon.
Under the old Almanac rule,
this would technically be a blue moon. In the autumn season of 2010, there are
four full moons:
* Sept.
23
* Oct.
22
* Nov.
21
* Dec.
21
"But wait," you
might say. "Dec. 21 is the first day of winter."
And you would be correct,
but only if you live north of the equator in the Northern Hemisphere. South of
the equator it's the first day of summer.
In 2010, the solstice comes at
6:38 p.m. EST (2338 UT).
But the moon turns full at 3:13
a.m. EST (0813 UT). That's 15 hours and 25 minutes before the solstice
occurs. So the Dec.
21 full moon occurs during the waning hours of fall and
qualifies as the fourth full moon of the season.
This means that under the
original Maine Almanac rule â" the one promoted by Lafleur and later
misinterpreted by Pruett â" the third full moon of the 2010 fall season on Nov.
21 would be a blue moon.
Choose your blue moon
So what Blue Moon definition
tickles your fancy? Is it the second full moon in a calendar month, or (as is
the case on Sunday) the third full moon in a season with four?
Maybe it's both. The final
decision is solely up to you.
Sunday's full moon will look no different
than any other full moon. But the moon can change color in certain
conditions.
After forest fires or volcanic eruptions, the
moon can appear to take on a bluish or even lavender hue. Soot and ash
particles, deposited high in the Earth's atmosphere, can sometimes make the
moon appear bluish.
In the aftermath of the massive eruption of
Mount Pinatubo in the Philippines in June 1991, there were reports of blue
moons (and even blue suns) worldwide.
We could even call the next full moon (on
Dec. 21) a "red moon," but for a different reason: On that day there
will be a total eclipse of the moon and, for a short while, the moon will
actually glow with a ruddy reddish hue.
More on that special event in the days to
come here at SPACE.com, so stay tuned!

Daily Goddess Devotion:
Go Unto the Goddess
From within the candles flame,
I seek understanding and I find peace.
From within the waters beating upon the shore,
I feel Her heart and my soul rejoices.
From within the breeze gentle across my face,
I here Her voice whispering words of love.
From within the coolness of Her life giving earth
She nourishes my body and my spirit.
From within these moments I know my spirit is cleansed
and I give honored unto Her path.
Blessed shall She be.

Woman gazes into her soul as she listens to the voice of all that has
been and all that is to come. Above all else she understands the
presence of this voice as a guide that has held her hand through all her
lives. She knows this voice as the eternity of her journey. Never a
betrayal, never an abandonment, never a lie, this voice has been. She
leans her will into the wisdom of her soul, the voice from deep within
her gut. This is the voice from which her God speaks to her.

Herb of the Day:
Moonwort
(Botrychium)
Folk Name: Unshoe-Horse
Gender: Feminine
Planet: Moon
Element: Water
Powers: Money, Love
Magickal Uses: Moonwort placed in boxes and bags supposedly produces silver. It has long been used in money spells of all types.
This fern is also used in the opening of locks ( by placing it in the keyhole) and breaking chains ( by simply touching them). Horses as well as humans who accidentally step on it lose their shoes, according to ancient tradition.
Moonwort is also utilized in love spells.

Goddess of The Day: OKAME Tori no Ichi (Japan)
Posted by: "Cher Chirichello" CHIC0411@YAHOO.COM chic0411
Sun Nov 21, 2010 9:03 am (PST)
Goddess of The Day: OKAME
Tori no Ichi (Japan)
Themes: Luck; Kindness
Symbols: Masks; Good-luck Charms
About Okame: Japanese art, Okame is portrayed as simple and somewhat homely, yet her
domain is the beautiful energy of good fortune and kind acts. In this form, Okame gently reminds
us that true beauty really does come from within. Local lore claims that any area that bears a
mask of Okame's likeness is blessed with her lucky nature.
To Do Today: Late in November, just preceding the new year in Japan, this is a day for rituals to
improve one's wealth and luck. Following a Japanese tradition, begin by find any lawn rake (or broom),
and attach as many personal good-luck charms to it as you can find. Take this token clockwise around
your home, raking or sweeping inward, to gather up Okame's fortunate energies. As you go through
our house, add verbal incantations, like the following:
{In the Kitchen} Okame, in my kitchen shine, so that good luck will be mine!
{In the Dining Room} Okame, at this table where people lounge, let your fortuity come around!
{Bathroom} Clean negativity and problems away; let good luck start today!
To encourage Okame's serendipity even further, you can burn orange, rose, heather, violet, or
allspice incense or potpourri as you go

Lets Sirt up Some Stone soup Today
Posted by: "Cher Chirichello" CHIC0411@YAHOO.COM chic0411
Sun Nov 21, 2010 9:18 am (PST)
Today lets make our Brew together, remember that story of stone soup? Lets begining with
adding things to our pot, What I'm going to suggest is that simply you
say one thing that is bothering you or making you feel down about
yourself or life, visualize yourself standing in front of the cauldron,
simply then think of something that would help you or make you feel
better and can even be something nice towards someone or memory to make
you feel better then we toss that into the pot as an ingredient. After
you toss your Positive good thoughts you will then take a large paddle
and stir the brew and as you turn it 3 times you will say your new
positive intention and then we move on to the next person until all our
good intents are then made into this large good soup together where we
heal and share our feelings and friendships.

ARTEMIS
I sing of Artemis, whose shafts are of silver, who cheers on the hounds,
Shooter of stags, who delights in archery
Over the shadowy hills and windy peaks she draws her silver bow,
Rejoicing in the chase
Homeric Hymn to Artemis
Artemis [called Diana in Roman myth] is the daughter of Zeus, King of
the Greek gods, and Leto, one of his many mistresses. According to the
legend, Leto was in labour nine days and nights, all the time pursued by
Hera, Zeus's jealous wife. Then, on reaching Delos, she gave birth to
Artemis who astonishingly, helped Leto deliver her own twin brother,
Apollo. The pair became goddess and god of the moon and sun. Artemis is
the maiden goddess of the new moon, and the sixth day from the new moon
is sacred to her. She rides her silver chariot, pulled by silver stags,
across the sky and shoots her arrows of silver moonlight to the earth
below. She is part of a triad with Selene [or Demeter] as full moon and
Hecate as dark moon. She was worshipped by the warrior Amazons as new
moon goddess. When Artemis was a little girl, Zeus, her father, wanted
to give her a gift and asked her what she wanted. The goddess replied "I
want to run forever wild and free with my hounds in the woods and
never, ever marry". She is one of only three beings who are immune to
the enchantments of Aphrodite the goddess of love (the other two are
Hestia and Athene). She is normally depicted as tall and slender,
wearing a short tunic and carrying a bow.
Behind this classical myth, however, there was an older Artemis,
reflected in the stories of the goddess as the free spirit who rejects
the company of gods and humans, preferring instead to roam the solitary
woodland grove and the bare mountainside, dancing and singing in the
company of her nymphs. She is a huntress and, carrying her silver bow,
delights in the reckless pursuit across the countryside, running with
the Alani, her pack of hounds, a gift from the nature god Pan ['All'].
She is the patroness of hunters, who would gratefully hang the skin and
horns of their prey in her temples. Though it may seem strange to us
today, she is also the protector of wild animals and knows all their
ways, from the elusive bird and the timid deer, to the savage lion and
fierce bear. She binds the hunter and the hunted, since she is the
goddess who both gives and takes life. The Greeks called her the
Huntress of Souls.
Artemis is the goddess of wild and remote places, unsullied land far
from the reach of man. Her nymphs are the spirits of its trees, streams,
rocks and flowers, the souls of nature embodied, while Artemis herself
is the imminent goddess of Nature in its raw and untamed state. She is a
maiden, chaste, eternally young and virginal, called 'Artemis the
undefiled' in Aeschylus's Agamemnon. Those men who defiled her mysteries
she ruthlessly hunted down and killed. One such was Actaeon, a hunter
who caught sight of Artemis while she was bathing. The goddess, thus
profaned, punished him by turning him into a stag whereupon his own
hounds, not recognising their master, tore him to pieces.
She is the patroness of unmarried girls and was served by virgin
priestesses. When women married, they had to leave her service forever.
Yet no marriage took place without her. Young girls considering
matrimony went to dance at her festivals. On the night before the
wedding, they dedicated their tunics on her altar, and left behind their
childhood memorabilia. She is the protector of all women, swift in her
defence of those tormented by men, always coming to the aid of those who
called upon her, punishing the wrongdoers. It is this aspect of Artemis
that women in labour called upon since, despite being a virgin, Artemis
is the goddess of childbirth. It is in her power to spare both mother
and child, or to take them. It is part of her mystery that a woman in
travail must surrender herself to her animal side, nature at its most
raw, uttering that last savage cry at the moment of birth.
In Ephesus she was called Dea Anna and "many-breasted" , the patroness of nurturing, fertility, and birth.
Artemis is the least civilised of the Greek goddesses, and perhaps the
oldest, dating from a time before the land was cultivated. She is also
the wild and untamed part of ourselves. While her brother Apollo, is
logical, dignified, lord of the sun and daylight, she is animal
instinct, impulse, intuition, freedom, the lady of the moon and night.
They represent the two sides of human consciousness, both necessary in
balance.
Artemis is the soul of the wilderness, uncivilised and untamed. She is
the goddess imminent in manifest Nature: untamed energy. She calls upon
the wildness in your heart. Artemis is the goddess that women call upon
when they are in trouble or abused. She befriends the abused and
punishes the abuser. Within every woman [and every man] the spirit of
Artemis exists, independent, confident and, like her warrior maidens the
Amazons, not needing a romantic partner to make her life complete. She
goes where she wants and does what she wants without having to seek the
approval of another. She doesn't deny her own nature to satisfy another.

We Have Forgotten How To Wait

Source: ONE LOVE ONE HEART ONE VISION
We
have forgotten how to wait; it is almost an abandoned space. And it is
our greatest treasure to be able to wait for the right moment. The whole
existence waits for the right moment. Even trees know it--when it is
time to bring the flowers and when it is time to let go of all the
leaves and stand naked against the sky. They are still beautiful in that
nakedness, waiting for the new foliage with a great trust that the old
has gone, and the new will soon be coming, and the new leaves will start
growing. We have forgotten to wait, we want everything in a hurry. It
is a great loss to humanity.... In silence and waiting something inside
you goes on growing--your authentic being. And one day it jumps and
becomes a flame, and your whole personality is shattered; you are a new
man. And this new man knows what ceremony is, this new man knows life's
eternal juices. Osho.

Pine Tree: Animal Balance - Volume 33: Rabbit, Turtle and Spider

Animal Balance - Volume 33
Rabbit, Turtle & Spider
Hi Shay!
Happy Full
Moon!
Welcome
to Animal Balance. I'm so glad to have you here on this journey back to
balance! Thanks so much for the feedback. I appreciate you all. As way
of expressing my Thanks-giving I'd like to offer a special to my email
subscribers on my Animal Balance consultations at half off the current
rate until the new moon on December 5. Go to this link to read a brief description. Animal Balance readings are about Core Awareness.
Some of the benefits of Awareness are:
Ability to respond rather than reactReassurance during times of uncertaintyPhysical Pain reductionImproved relationshipsHeightened ability to manifest desiresAlignment with higher purpose and right livelihoodOpen- hearted receptivity to guidanceAwakening to Joy, awe and innocence
Go to the Animal Balance page and contact me or simply respond to this email if you'd like to discuss this. Now on with the Journal!
Do
you feel the pressures of "hurry up and wait?" Are new connections and
situations coming into your life at lightning speed? Well, this is the
month of the "tortoise and the hare!" If you're feeling pulled in
several directions at once this may be the reason. It is a good time to
pause and reconnect over the Thanksgiving holiday. En-Joy!
Germination of Unity Consciousness is a
strong theme this month.
The
fertility of Rabbit as Earth Mother places a seed of Oneness into the ground
under the protection of Turtle. With solid determination and open-heart-connection
to the Golden Child patiently guided by Grandmother Spider, we nurture the
seed.
Now, in
the time of darkness we slow down and pause to remember Oneness with all that
is and to feel the Presence of Life. Humility is the Earth connection. We are
Spirit moving in Clay bodies. Our roots are in fertile soil, the humus of Respect
and Gratitude.
Gratitude
breeds gratitude. Respect begets respect and expansion, awakening the Heart's
Natural Love. Nurture the Earth connection. "Being with" our seed essence triggers
a wave of change that allows others to take a leap of faith into a new Day.
November
5, 2010
I have
chosen Rabbit, Turtle and Spider this month. I offer a sincere prayer to Divine
Ma to make my heart pure. Come what may, I am in Her hands. Rabbit takes what
is "known" and turns it upside down in this world dream of Earth Mother.
Powerful
Illusion brings us to the dream within the dream. Living in the world we know a
thousand sufferings, the tears and fears of a lost Child, the temporary changes
of life.
Rabbit
comes in balance with Turtle, Father Earth. The slow sure steady protection of
grounded action and stillness carries us through another quantum leap down the Rabbit hole in this moon cycle.
Sacred
Life, fertile with possibilities finds deeper connection with Grandmother Spider
caring for the Golden Child within. Weaving the web of the spiral Self with
subtle strands of light expands our love and gratitude to All bringing us into
the Center, the Core Heart of humanity "Where no sorrow comes, and golden
dreams dwell, in the land beyond my dreams."*
In the Core
Heart of One Love we come to the place of Respect for All Life.
November
7, 2010
Practicing
the Presence has many layers. Here are a few:
1) Acknowledge God - Self - Source in gratitude
2) Silent whispers and deep listening
3) Chanting, singing to the Divine
4) Attention, will at the Christ Center or
Spherical eye, the point between the eyebrows with uplifted gaze
5) Open the heart to feel the Presence as life energy
pulsing through body/mind
6) See the "other" behind all people and circumstances,
the Presence moves through all
7) Watch the inflow and expiration of breath
8) Breathe deeply while counting to hold attention
All of
these practices involve opening to feel the connection to Source, to ever-present
Life. They are aspects of Whale and Spider medicine that lead to transformation
and awareness of the Core Heart, the love that connects all hearts.
The
centering of Spider releases a Radiance within the individual that expands
throughout creation. Spider, will You speak?
Yes, I am
Spider, known as Grandmother. My essence is an ancient manifestation of the
Mother of All Mothers, sometimes called the Comforter. I, Grandmother Spider,
birthed all life from the Void. And I am here to Comfort the Golden Child in You
and to re-awaken your Connection.
As you
return to the Presence again and again you will feel me perhaps through a
sensation in your body or a vibration in the back of your head that spreads to
all cells. You may hear me as Cosmic Sound, Om, the Amen or simply feel a Great
Mystery. This is the wonder and awe that grows beyond doubt and uncertainty as
calmness approaches.
I am the
Holy Ghost, the Weaver of Creation. I Bless You now and All Ways. Whisper to me
your Dreams. Your tears and fears are the cry of the lost child and of the
Mother for her Children. Whisper to me and then go silent and listen for my response
in the Core Heart. Simply be in the Presence, feel my Presence in All Life.
November
8, 2010
I am open
to receive what is best in my life. Let the flow of action easily align my will
to the Divine Will. Let my will and action flow with ease and grace for the
highest good now and always.
Thank you.
Earth and Sky come together in Turtle who carries Home on his back. Mother Father
Child, Friend, teach me to carry a portable Heaven within. Show me the Golden
Path that leads to Thee.
Turtle is
a great model, slow and sure, steady and grounded. Turtle, will you speak
today?
Yes, I am
Turtle, swimming the sea of golden waves. There is a maturity that comes with
age, a blessing received from experience and through the ancestors. You must
invite the blessing of the elders with humility and respect.
Humility
connects you to your humanity and awareness that the body you have been gifted
is dust of the earth. Your roots are in the humus. Your humanness grows toward
the light through the Tree of Life as the tribes branch out in limitless
multiplicity.
Within the
Earth a golden river flows from every speck of space, a secret river of life
that animates all that is. Humility establishes you in the One Law: Land is
Life, Respect All Land and Life.
Respect
for the elders and their wisdom has been lacking. You are the new elders and
you will help many others through the initiation by fire that leads back to
your true power of Humility and Respect. You will learn to carry Heaven within
your Heart even as you walk the Earth.

I woke and
began to think about Spider and the new web of connections that is forming. Spider,
I thank You. Your body, like a figure 8 symbolizes the Infinite healing potential
that lives within us. The Heart's Natural Love is a force, an energy of life
emanating from within the Cosmic Tree of Life.
I am Spider,
I carry a thread of intelligent energy representing connection, or "being"
connected, being with the eternal Presence. The energy or vibration can be
carried through the breath, spoken as words or crystallized on the page in
writing. The essence of chi, prana, intelligent life energy is also beyond words.
When you concentrate
your thought and deepen your feeling into what is behind words impregnated by
life force, whether by mantra, chant, affirmation, intent or mental whispers, you
come into the Presence. The Union of thought and feeling, of conscious and subconscious,
is the spark that ignites the fire of transformation at the superconscious
level.
Thought
and feeling move deep within the spine and brain where they trigger awakened
Wisdom in the Core Heart. This is a deep knowing, an awareness far beyond
thought and emotion which sparks the fire of purification, the Heart's Natural
Love. This Purification gives rise to the pure Joy of the Soul.
Thank You
Rabbit, Turtle and Spider

Invoking Hecate
November 21
Sunday
Color of the day: Gold
Incense of the day: Juniper
Tonight is a perfect time to work with the goddess Hecate for
protection and wisdom. This Triple Goddess has many forms and faces. She can appear as the Maiden in a shining headdress. As a mature woman, the Mother, or a wise silver-haired grandmother, the Crone. Hecate is a
powerhouse and is fiercely protective of magic users. Light three
candles: one white, one red, and one black. If you own a dog, call it to your side for this invocation, as dogs are sacred to her.
The Mourning Moon of November rises softly this night,
Illuminating the night skies with a magical light.
Hecate hear my call and send me your blessings,
How you may appear, will keep me guessing.
With the dramatic howl of dogs, your presence is known,
I will honor your magic no matter where I roam.
Grant me the gifts of your protection and wisdom,
For I will hold these dear, within my Craft lessons.
By Hecateâs power of earth, sky, and sea,
I accept your wise teachings, So mote it be.
Allow the candles to burn out in a safe place. Pay attention and see what messages Hecate sends to you in the next month.

Today's Goddess: LEUCOTHEA Sagittarius Begins (Various Locations)
Posted by: "Cher Chirichello" CHIC0411@YAHOO.COM chic0411

Today's Goddess: LEUCOTHEA
Sagittarius Begins (Various Locations)
Themes: Creativity; Energy; Communication; Balance; Harmony; Change.
Symbols: Bow and Arrow; White Items; Milk; Seawater.
About Leocothea: In Greek tradition, this woman gave birth to the centaurs and was
a wet nurse to Dionysus. Her name translates as "milk-white Goddess," alluding to a
strong maternal nature. In later times she became a Sea Goddess, bearing the visage of a
mermaid. Through this transformation we see the mingling of the spiritual nature (water) with
that of the earth (half-human appearance) to create Sagittarius's customary energies.
To Do Today: In astrology, Sagittarius is the centurion archer who represents a harmonious mingling
of physical and spiritual living. Those born under this sign tend toward idealism, upbeat outlooks,
and confidence. Like Leucothea, Sagittarians seem to have a strong drive for justice, especially
for those under their care.
To consume a bit of Leuthocea's maternal nature or invoke her spiritual balance in your life, make
sure to include milk or milk products in your diet today. Or, wear something white to figuratively
don her power.
For help with personal transformations, especially those that encourage personal comfort and
tranquility, soak in a nice, long saltwater or milk bath today. As you do, ask Leucothea to show
you the right steps to take next..
