Elder's Meditation of the Day--November 29

Elder's Meditation of the Day - November 29

"Life, the circle, a measurement with no beginning and no end."

-- Phillip Deere, MUSKOGEE-CREEK

The circle teaches us how the Creator made things and how to live. It teaches us how we should look at creation. Life travels in a circle. In the East is the baby, to the South is the youth, in the West is the adult and in the North is the Elder. Then we return to the Earth Mother to start the cycle again. We observe what is `around us' from the center of the circle. This develops our point of view. We must be careful not to become self-centered.

Great Spirit, let me observe life from the circle's point of view.

I need a spell please

Mon Nov 29, 2010 4:12 pm (PST)

Greetings All,

Without going into great detail I need a spell to banish a negative spirit that has been attached to me for years and is now starting to seek out and attach itself to my daughters. I don't want to know why or how, I just want it gone. She is very powerful and has resisted all previous efforts to banish, bind or peacefully ask her to leave.
Thanks!

Spell to Banish Negative or Unwanted Ghosts or Spirits from your Home

You will need:

border="0" alt="" />* 1 fireproof medium sized bowl

* 1 tablespoon of powerered garlic

* 1 tablespoon of dried and powdered thistle

* 1 tablespoon of ground clove

* 1 pinch of sage

* 1 pinch of dried Oak leaves

* 1 pinch of black pepper

* 1 tablespoon of ground peppermint

* 1 large bowl of salt

* 1 white candle

Take the large bowl of salt and add a pinch over every windowsill and door
that enters your house. Add two or three pinches to any particular room or area
you feel where the presence is mostly felt. In this particular room light a
white candle.

In your fireproof bowl add in all the other ingredients and light the dry
mixture so that a little smoke eminates from it giving off it's aroma. Carrying
the fireproof bowl carefully walk into each room of the house and repeat this
chant:

"In the name of the Eternal Lady and Lord
I deem thee to depart this home now
I consecrate and clear my space
Let nothing but joy and happiness linger here"

When you have done this ritual in each room in your house return back to the
original room (the one where you lit the white candle) and put down the
smoldering bowl beside the white candle. Let both the candle and the mixture
burn out and when it has, take the ash outside and return it to Mother Nature.
Place in the grass, in a stream or in a flowerbed.

So mote it be

Hope this will work

Blessed Be
Raven

Tammy,

Here you go. This one worked very well for me.

If you need a copy in MS WORD let me know.

I also have used a reflection maze spell which works if you have a photo, hair
or nail clippings or a coin from the person. In a tin surrounded by small
reflective Yule tree bead garland lies the hair, or whatever, the spell is then
used to reflect the evil back to the sender to protect the innocent. The effect
is to Bind the spirit or person from performing evil by reflection of their
intent back upon themselves.

Be careful my friend, as this is a very touchy matter if we are to honour the
Rede.

Brightest Blessings,

I am looking to see what else I can find. Do you have the Arch Angel Michael
prayer? I have one that was given to me by a demonologist in Australia. She uses
it every time she does a banishment. I will just go ahead and add it! It can't
hurt. I have found it to work very well!

Arch Angel Michael
Please remove all attachments from me

all negative thought forms
all heavy energy forms
all small demons and large demons
all human-in-spirit and send them Home
all threads and bindings
all cords and ties
all chains and devices of any kind
Return me to my perfect energy
NOW please.
Thank you.

Winter Solstice

Posted by: "Lady Nightshayde" LadyNightshayde9@aol.com   nightshayde99

Mon Nov 29, 2010 4:21 pm (PST)

Winter Solstice

The season of Yule is marked by the Winter Solstice, the shortest day of the year. From this day forward, the daily period of sunlight increases until it reaches the Summer Solstice. related to this experience is an ancient belief in the rebirth of the Sun God at the Winter Solstice. The idea of a renewed Sun God is at the core of the spiritual message of the Yule celebration.

The Yule season is a time to renew and refresh relationships. This includes the relationship with yourself as well as with family and loved ones. The primary message of Yule is a hope that cannot be denied. This is symbolized by an important figure known as The Child of Promise. More on this is provided later, but for now it is the message itself that is our focus.

The message of hope is represented by the inclusion of evergreens as decorations for the Yule season. The addition of holly berries symbolizes the life force that is present even in the decline of nature as the seasons pass from fall to winter. A wreath of evergreens (decorated with holly berries and hung on the door or an interior wall of the home) serves as a reminder of the unending circle of life. A traditional Yule log works well to connect with the principle of renewal and rebirth.

The colors associated with the Yule season possess mystical symbolism. Green is the color of renewal, the gestation of the seed that assures new life in the spring. Green candles can be used in ritual and spellcasting to create personal alignments to this principle. Red is the color of blood, the liquid essence of life that flows from generation to generation. Therefore, red candles can be used to connect with relatives, ancestors, and loved ones. White is the color of death, the bones that are left when the soul has departed the body. It is memory of what came before. The winter snow that covers the land symbolizes death--but a death that provides for new life in the seeds that sleep beneath the cold blanket. White candles can be used to acknowledge that death is part of life, and that all endings are but new beginnings.

Scented candles, oil, or incense can be used to help connect with the rich symbolism of the Yule season. Bayberry is a popular fragrance, and it is associated with abundance, prosperity and fertility. It can be used in spells and rituals that are designed for gain and growth. Cinnamon is another scent that can be used to attract money or career opportunities. Candles or oils scented with apple spice are useful in spells or rituals for a peaceful home or a harmonious relationship.

If you're interested in syncing up with the inner mysteries of the season then you can obtain some of the traditional characters linked to the Yule season. One pair that stands out is the Oak and Holly King. To represent those you can find a Santa Claus figure among the rustic designs that are available. Look for a Santa dressed in brown or green to represent the Holly King. If you're very imaginative you can use a snowman figure to represent the living winter spirit of nature. Reindeer figures can be used to symbolize spirit allies that carry off the wishes generated through spells and rituals. All of this magical imagery can be incorporated into the design of your spells and rituals or even a personal altar for the Yule season. When working with these connections, consider burning frankincense and myrrh as a spiritual and magical scent to enhance spell and ritual work at this season.

To fully embrace the season, create an altar setting that can be left standing in your home or office. On the center of the altar you can place the Yule log, set with three candles. A silver bell can be set in front of it to call the good spirits of the season. On the altar you can make an arrangement of figurines, snow globes, decorative snowflakes, and other symbols that have personal meaning or attachment. Don't forget to include some pine cones, evergreen clippings, and holly.

A popular inclusion in the Yule celebration is the solstice tree, now called the Christmas tree. the tree is a symbol of the sacred groves of Pagan traditions that venerated deities believed to reside in trees. Every grove was home to one particular tree that was honored above all the others. Charms and ribbons were often hung from branches as offerings, and as requests for special favors.

The popular modern tradition of placing gifts under the Yule tree reflects the ancient practice of grove veneration. This is also reflected in the decoration of the tree with various ornaments associated with individual Neopagan traditions. In this way the decor will reflect the unique spiritual focus of your individual Neopagan beliefs and practices. Arranging gifts beneath the tree for family and loved ones helps connect to the sense of community or tribe.

Gift giving has long been associated with the Yule season. As a spiritual tradition, this symbolizes an acknowledgment of the divine spark that dwells within all of us. We all bear within us the essence of that which created us. This is the spirit or soul that animates our physical bodies. In this sense, we all originate from the same source. Sharing feelings of love and closeness helps to brighten the light of our souls. In this sense we renew this force in the same spirit as we stir forth the newborn light of the Sun at Yule.

ideas needed for healing or banishing of ill health

I have been asked to do an impromptu ritual for health/healing or the opposite of banishing of the illness. But I am having a brain fart right now. The person who is ill can not be with us, but the family member is bringing a picture of them and info on their specific problem. We usually do a healing candle, but I was also looking for other ideas as well. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,
Annette

We usually do a healing candle, but I was also looking for other ideas as well. Any help is appreciated.

Here are a few you could use:

ABSENT HEALING SPELL

This helps send healing energy to those who live away from you and you can't see them in person.
You could also use it to heal yourself. You need:
--A picture of the patient, A blue or green candle, Sandalwood oil, Clear quartz gemstone/crystal.
Project a white light shield around yourself to protect against the illness your dealing with.
Hold the candle and project healing/love energy into it.
Do the same with the crystal. Anoint the candle with sandalwood oil starting from the bottom
and working up to the top (away from you).
Visualize the person illness leaving them or that they are surrounded by green healing energy.
Place the picture under the candle and light it. Place the crystal on top of the picture also.
Leave to burn for at least 20 minutes.
Light the candle once a day until the illness had subsided.
Bury the candle off your property and thoroughly cleanse the crystal.
ALL PURPOSE HEALING SPELL

This spell is meant to help speed up recovery from an illness or injury.
Supplies: 1 piece of amber or amethyst, a green candle, a piece of paper, and a pencil.
Write the problem (describe the illness or injury) on the piece of paper.
Open the circle and invite the God, the Goddess, and the elements.
Light the candle. Lay down on the floor in the center of your circle and place the
gemstone at the site of illness (e.g. on your throat if it is sore).
Close you eyes and imagine the illness or injury being sucked into the gemstone. Take your time,
this may take awhile. When you are finished, burn the piece of paper in the candle's flame.
Thank the God, the Goddess, and the elements. Close the circle. Finally, take the gemstone
and the ashes from the paper outside and bury them in the ground.
SPELL TO ALLEVIATE ILLNESS

Take a coin you have found on the ground and put a pinch of salt on it.
Then transfer the salt into a small amount of boiling water, and let it dissolve.
When the water has cooled, use the coin to flick the saline solution onto the
palms of your patient's hands and on the soles of his or her feet.
Yet another traditional remedy uses candle magic.
On a blue candle, use a pin to inscribe -- moving from the base to the tip -- the name
of the person who is ill. Pierce the candle with the pin and leave it there.
Let the candle burn down and extinguish itself, and keep the pin for future spells.
SPELL TO BANISH PAIN

Write on a small piece of paper:
Flee! Pain can not find me I am free!
Calm is drawn to me I am free!
Wrap this with a dark blue ribbon and carry with you or wear it.

Love Each Day,
Lady Nightshayde

The Smithsonian Photography Initiative includes some 13 million images in some seven hundred collections throughout the museums and research centers. The associated website ‘is dedicated to expanding the opportunities for community involvement with the Smithsonian photo collections. The ‘Participate’ section has several divisions. “The Bigger Picture presents an inside look at the Smithsonian’s photographic collections and invites audiences to engage in an online discussion about photography’s powerful impact on our world.” Flickr Commons is a new initiative that has over 800 photographs; the visitor can post tags, comments, and participate in this venture. There are several other sections that are closed to new material but the exhibitions are still available. A slideshow by the Smithsonian photographer Hugh Talman is an interesting photographic record of the devastation that New Orleans suffered from Katrina â€" not to be missed (a comment from a Louisiana resident!) "Dare To Dream"
Sing to me of far off dreams
Of a secret forest with a fairy ring
When nymphs dance by a waterfall
And peace is boundless for one and all
Where the light of hope shines pure and true
Of a moment of time when it is just me and you
The Muses inspire, creativity flows
The Siren's song, on the wind does blow
And when the Fairies sway and dance
You know life offers that second chance

Hey everyone, I'm finally back from the challengeing parts of this walk of life. Haha. It's been atleast a year since I last read any of the posts from the group, and even longer since I've created one, but I'm glad to be back now. I hope every one's doing fine.
Oh, I also just want to ask if anyone knows any happiness spells, or if anyone could send a little positive energy my way. I'll more than happily return the favor. Thanks, and Blessed Be. (:
