Greetings All,
LOL You know I encountered this article yesterday I think .. posted by an old time witch who loved her masses Blacker than most.
I think my views haven't really changed since then .. though Gav ... about Sanders and so on .. well I can only hope that such as this results in some clocks being wound back.
Most that take "the label" these days are so harmless they make the average cocker spaniel look savage. Still .. why not recognise them I think in many ways ... yes I say why not - the loonies of the Church can be "recognised" so why not equally so the loonys who couldn't CUT IT IN A CHURCH!? lol
If those without the stones to exist without the ratification of others want "Legitimacy" badges and club cards .. I can think of no one better to give it to them than the modern western world and most certainly that societal base which the Church has made in it's own image .. *shakes head and chuckles* .. yeah why not indeed.
Hell after all for all it's faults and my mutifarious complaints of it - the ability to complain without action of a perception of powerlessness (or truth in some cases!) societally or personally is surely not a new thing that minority groups have a "corner" on! That the cry "I want RIGHTS" goes up from amidst people(s) who neither know nor exercise the full set of rights they *have* already is no surprise nor is it new. That many of the same are more enamoured with such as opposed to just getting on with the job of acquiring that which they desire is likewise not new or subculturally specific.
And yet I have no problem whatsoever with them getting what they want - why not the world is guaged that way at present as I see it. I have no particular problem with such being identified by their work at all. I also have no problem whatsoever in making best and full use of any advance such or others make for the supposed collective - think of that as you will I don't mind, hell most views of that would be spot on.
I simply assert that getting support from people who (at best) care not a jot for you and consider you somehow mentally and socially deficient or; (at worst) positively worthy of pogromming out of existence is poor strategy. Many a poor strategy seems to make quick advances - just as airships are graceful in the sky and on fire - only to wound in longer term ways. It strikes me that such moves make the newer and less sighted overly dependant on a falsely safe view of reality and truncates their ability to swim in "the strange waters".
It is vital to know who one's friends and family are - and to what extent .... hence it is important to guage carefully who grants one what. WIthout careful consideration one quickly falls to a fools paradise populated greatly by people who smile as wide as their blades are sharp .... only one believes they point OUTWARD when in reality it isn't so after all.
Subsisto
Scott
