On Accepting Yourself

On Accepting Yourself...
"Once we accept our limits, we go beyond them." -Albert Einstein
It
takes confidence and courage to acknowledge there are areas where you
could improve–but this is true for everyone. No one is perfect, and
everyone struggles with something. It's the people who are willing to
take an honest look at their weaknesses who consistently grow stronger.
Only in identifying your limitations can you stretch yourself and redefine what's possible.
Today
if you feel challenged professionally, socially, emotionally, or
intellectually, remind yourself that you can always grow wiser,
stronger, and smarter. Once you accept yourself for who you are without
judgment or shame, you give yourself every opportunity to do that.
Knowing and loving who you are is the first step in becoming who you can be. (tham)

Jennifer Hoffman: In-Sights from Uriel Heals to Enlighten your Life

Enlightening Your Life with Jennifer & Archangel UrielDecember 20, 2010 Greetings!
This month's article is entitled The Journey of Clarity.
Clarity is what takes us from doubt to knowing, shedding light on our
darknesss. But what is clarity, why is it important that we understand
it and are we ready to know the truth that clarity brings? Here's what
is in this week's newsletter:
The
year-end sale is on and there are several new classes are available for
download, including the Guilt & Shame class, Aligning the Trinity
and more! Visit the Products page for more information. By
itself, clarity is useless because it only shows us what has happened
and not how to use the information. When we can take the next step, we
make clarity useful. Read about it in the first article. There
is so much going on this week, be prepared for some major life
reshuffling or finding that you appreciate and enjoy the season more
than ever. This is the second article. Archangel
Uriel's message looks at the mind/spirit partnership and how we can
intend from spirit to help the mind choose more powerfully. Our
children have their own karma and although they may have small bodies,
they are big, ancient spirits with their own karmic path to
follow. Visit the website to see a list of traits and decide whether you are Indigo or Crystal ... or both. Step into your Miracle Mastery! Get more from life! Sign up for the Miracle Mastery on-line program, now with group and personal coaching options. Click here to register.
Read the December article on the Uriel Heals website. El boletn est ahora disponible en espaol.
The series on Indigos and Suicide is available on the Today's Children page in response to your requests. Read the newsletter in Spanish at Templo del Sol,
thank you Xitlalli! The link is on the Uriel Heals home page. Be sure
to visit the Lightworker Resources page on the website to see helpful
tools for your spiritual, emotional and physical well-being. I would
like to welcome all of our new subscribers and thank you for joining the

Useful Clarity
We
ask for clarity and when it comes we often don't know what to do with
it. Suddenly we understand the reasons for everything in our life and
this doesn't always make us happy. With a critical eye, clarity can show
us every dark spot in our energy, every powerless act and thought, or
point out where we have given our power away to others. But with a more
discerning eye clarity is a wonderful tool that can empower us in an
instant if we learn to use it in a useful way.Read the December article. You can read the Frog and Scorpion fable from November's message by clicking here.
Clarity,
like truth, can hurt because it is not useful by itself. Clarity merely
answers a question, like 'How did this happen?' Then we can see how we
ignored the signs, didn't pay attention to the warnings, or allowed
something to continue long beyond its 'use by date'. While that
information is somewhat useful, it doesn't really tell us what we hoped
to know, which is how to go in another direction. And if we don't take
clarity to the next step, we get stuck in the clarity and feel worse
instead of better.
A
better use of clarity is to be less judgmental and more discerning. One
client who has had a series of difficult relationships finally saw,
with the final and most destructive one, how she had chosen the same
kind of person each time. With this one she was ready to see herself as
the attractor instead of blaming the men she had been involved with. The
clarity she received merely showed her that the relationship needed to
end and why. The truth beyond it was that she needed to change what she
was doing to attract a different kind of person.
When
we ask for clarity we get it and we can't judge that information
because we got what we asked for. But beyond the 'why' or 'what' is
another question, which is what to do with the information, how can we
use it in a way that is useful to our spiritual and emotional growth so
that clarity empowers us to make more powerful choices, be mindful of
the intentions we are creating for our lives and to see clarity as the
first step towards transformation and then take the next step beyond it.

Retrograde, Solstice, Full Moon and Christmas, oh my!
There
is so much happening this week that we may feel rushed, tired,
overwhelmed and frazzled. In addition to the holiday season, which some
people view with mixed feelings because they must spend time with those
that they manage to avoid for the rest of the year. For others it is a
happy time that allows them to spend time with those they love. For
everyone this is the end of a rather challenging year and the beginning
of a new journey. This week we have Christmas, the Solstice, Mercury is
still retrograde and a powerful full moon.
The
powerful Mercury retrograde continues to create communication and
transportation issues, typical of this period, that force us to slow
down, think about where we are going and give ourselves some extra time.
But that's a good thing. So often we rush through life not wondering
whether we want to do whatever we are doing, whether it is right for us
or even necessary. If we pause before we say 'yes', we can give
ourselves time to consider whether we are doing what we really want to
do instead of living habitually. This is one of the blessings of Mercury
retrograde.
Then
there's the solstice which is a time of endings and new beginnings.
Nights are longer and the weather is cold (for us in the northern
hemisphere), allowing us to go within and take stock of what is
important to us. This, coupled with a powerful full moon the next day,
gives us powerful support to begin looking at ourselves from the point
of choice-do we choose consciously and with intention and awareness of
what we are choosing?
Christmas
is a time to give and receive, to share and to allow others to share
with us. No matter how you view this season, it is about our greatest
gift, the realization that we are divine, powerful co-creators who can
live in unlimited, expansive and fulfilling ways when we remember that
we live in the world by choice and it is through choice that we create
our version of the world. I wish you the happiest of holiday seasons and
hope that you receive all your heart desires.

Uriel's Message -- Choose from the Mind, Intend from Spirit
Each
of you is a perfect combination of mind and spirit, working in harmony
to expand energy on the earth. The mind chooses what it wishes to create
according to the path the soul has determined for the lifetime. Spirit
intends healing and transformation and while those are its choices for
each lifetime, it is what the mind chooses that determines the outcome.
If intention is set from spirit then the mind has a different path for
its choosing. Otherwise, the mind makes its own choices.
The
mind is limited to its experience of life, the collection of emotions,
beliefs and thinking that it has always used to create. This is its path
for each lifetime. But the purpose of every lifetime is to integrate
mind and spirit, so that the mind can work with spirit's intention for
transformation instead of its destined path of fear. Integration is
created by balancing mind and spirit, releasing fear and allowing a
higher vibration to enter the mind's reality.
But
sometimes this is seen as the need to release the mind/ego and make it
less important. Spirit needs the mind, just as the mind needs spirit,
for action and the path of transformation requires the mind's
participation. Since the mind reflects the energy of the third
dimension, the mind's transformation is what will move humanity into
ascension. Spirit is the mind's ascension guide and its desire is to
create an equal partnership, where neither aspect is more important but
both need to work together.
This
can be an effortless journey when the focus is on integration and not
domination. Spirit cannot dominate the mind as that is not its nature.
The mind has the power to overpower spirit but that is not its purpose.
When intention for transformation is accepted by the mind and
partnership with spirit is viewed as the most perfect and effortless way
for this to happen, the purpose of transformation becomes intentional,
and as each step unfolds, the path to the best and most perfect outcome
for that moment is available. Then the mind and spirit can journey
together as partners in your ascension journey.

The Karma of Childhood
When
my youngest son was born he was handed to his father. He immediately
began to cry and screamed until the nurse took him away and gave him to
me. From that moment, every time his father came near him he would
scream until someone else held him (preferably me). I felt there was
something in that relationship that he already knew on a soul level,
even though he was a small baby. And when he was six years old I knew
that this path would be difficult and that there was something for him
to experience with his father that I could not change or be part of.
I
have heard from several readers who are alarmed that their children do
not wish to have a relationship with their fathers and even, like my
son, refuse to have anything to do with them. These are very strong
karmic ties that our children have chosen to resolve in this lifetime
and we are not part of that process, although we are part of their life.
Whatever karma is to be worked out is between them and they will
eventually take that journey together. While some of the new generations
do not have karma, others do and it can be very positive or very
challenging.
As
I wrote in response to one person's question, we see our children as
young and innocent but they have their own karma with everyone in their
life. The person who bullies them, a teacher who loves them, their
parents and siblings, extended family, friends and neighbors are all
part of their soul group and they have karma with all of them. We can
give our children the tools they need to work through their karma but we
cannot do it for them. They are ancient souls in small bodies and their
karmic journey is an important part of their life.
My
son's first daycare teacher was a loving, kind woman who adored him and
spent all of her time caring for him. As part of their karma, she was
a loving presence when he needed her. I felt that she was his mother in a
past life and it showed in many ways. The point is that all karmic
experiences are not bad or challenging, some can be very positive. But
we have to remember that our children have karma and it is theirs, not
ours (although they also have karma with us). We can guide them through
these experiences in a loving way by helping them remember their power
and sharing our insights and experiences to empower them to face their
karma, while remembering that it belongs to them and is part of their
soul path and healing and transforming it is part of their life journey.

Yule Invocation; The Winter Solstice

Yule Invocation; The Winter Solstice The days long and cold shadows fall as the night grows near,Yet within our hearts we know the light that holds know fear. We gather in the darkness listening upon the crystal air,Our love and joy is a warmth we all shall freely share. Immortal light of love and life forever full and free,Virgin Goddess calls beckoning like the never ebbing sea. Within Her beauty and Her love the fertile seed has grown,His time grows close as with His warmth and light has shown. With only a spark the flame shall burn upon this shortest day,As our Lady gives rebirth unto our Lord we pray. Fire and cauldron smoke and sky we walk a circle round,In ecstasy we sing for abundance shall abound. For with the dawning of the day there will be no strife,Our Goddess queen of night within this birth assures us life. Our Lord is born growing within the horizons seen,Mighty Sun God, Lord and King gives us promise of growth and green. From
our Great Mother's womb again life has been reborn,For as the Wheel of Life shall turn all death and life is formed. In honor we give unto this night our Lord and Lady praise,Their love shall grow and feed the earth with warmth upon the days. And when again we shall be called unto the crisp clear night,Shall we be gathered together in true heart, love and light. Blessing of the Lord and Lady. Quado's Garden: Feel the Joy!

Feel
the Joy!
Today, let joy bubble
up from inside you and overflow. Express joy at every possible opportunity.
If this seems impossible,
then come down into this moment, into now, right now. Release the past and its
regrets. Release the future and your worries. Come deeply into the moment and
find the joy.
And if you still do not
feel the joy, then it is time to allow your higher self to enter and teach you
joy.
Relax and breathe deeply
several times. Center yourself completely into now, this moment. Picture a
bright ball of energy above you and know it as your own higher self, your own
soul self, glowing above you, full of love, joy and wisdom.
Then consciously open up
the crown of your head and picture the golden band of energy that flows into
you. Feel it. See how it widens. Feel the flow of love. Feel the flow of
wisdom and knowingness. Feel the joy.
Continue to focus on this
flow until the joy fills you so completely that you begin to smile.
This joy does not need a
reason to be. This joy does not need anything outside of you. This joy is.
And it is there for you ever and always.

Magickal Uses: Moonwort placed in boxes and bags supposedly produces silver. It has long been used in money spells of all types. DailyOM: Analyzing the Path

DailyOM - Recognizing Happiness
Today's DailyOM brought to you by:
December 20, 2010
Analyzing the Path
Recognizing Happiness
We are used to analyzing why we are unhappy, but taking the time to contemplate your happiness is important too.
Those of us on the path of personal and spiritual growth have a tendency to analyze our unhappiness in order to find the causes and make improvements. But it is just as important, if not more so, to analyze our happiness. Since we have the ability to rise above and observe our emotions, we can recognize when we are feeling joyful and content. Then we can harness the power of the moment by savoring our feelings and taking time to be grateful for them.
Recognition is the first step in creating change, therefore recognizing what it feels like to be happy is the first step toward sustaining happiness in our lives. We can examine how joy feels in our bodies and what thoughts run through our minds in times of bliss. Without diminishing its power, we can retrace our steps to discover what may have put us in this frame of mind, and then we can take note of the choices we've made while there. We might realize that we are generally more giving and forgiving when there's a smile on our face, or that we are more likely to laugh off small annoyances and the actions of others when they don't resonate with our light mood.
Once we know what it feels like and can identify some of the triggers and are aware of our actions, we can recreate that happiness when we are feeling low. Knowing that like attracts like, we can pull ourselves out of a blue mood by focusing on joy. We might find that forcing ourselves to be giving and forgiving, even when it doesn't seem to come naturally, helps us to reconnect with the joy that usually precedes it. If we can identify a song, a picture, or a pet as a happiness trigger, we can use them as tools to recapture joy if we are having trouble finding it. By focusing our energy on analyzing happiness and all that it encompasses, we feed, nurture, and attract more of it into our lives, eventually making a habit of happiness.

Yule, (pronounced EWE-elle) is when the dark half of the year relinquishes to the light half. Starting the next morning at sunrise, the sun climbs
just a little higher and stays a little longer in the sky each day.
Known as Solstice Night, or the longest night of the year, much
celebration was to be had as the ancestors awaited the rebirth of the
Oak King, the Sun King, the Giver of Life that warmed the frozen Earth
and made her to bear forth from seeds protected through the fall and
winter in her womb. Bonfires were lit in the fields, and crops and trees were "wassailed" with toasts of spiced cider.
Children were
escorted from house to house with gifts of clove spiked apples and
oranges which were laid in baskets of evergreen boughs and wheat stalks
dusted with flour. The apples and oranges represented the sun, the
boughs were symbolic of immortality, the wheat stalks portrayed the
harvest, and the flour was accomplishment of triumph, light, and life.
Holly, mistletoe, and ivy not only decorated the outside, but also the
inside of homes. It was to extend invitation to Nature Sprites to come
and join the celebration. A sprig of Holly was kept near the door all
year long as a constant invitation for good fortune to pay visit to the
residents.
The ceremonial Yule log was the highlight of the
festival. In accordance to tradition, the log must either have been
harvested from the householder's land, or given as a gift... it must
never have been bought. Once dragged into the house and placed in the
fireplace it was decorated in seasonal greenery, doused with cider or
ale, and dusted with flour before set ablaze be a piece of last years
log, (held onto for just this purpose). The log would burn throughout
the night, then smolder for 12 days after before being ceremonially put
out. Ash is the traditional wood of the Yule log. It is the sacred world tree of the Teutons, known as Yggdrasil. An herb of the Sun, Ash brings light into the hearth at the Solstice.
A different type of Yule log, and perhaps one more suitable for modern practitioners would be
the type that is used as a base to hold three candles. Find a smaller
branch of oak or pine, and flatten one side so it sets upright. Drill
three holes in the top side to hold red, green, and white (season),
green, gold, and black (the Sun God), or white, red, and black (the
Great Goddess). Continue to decorate with greenery, red and gold bows,
rosebuds, cloves, and dust with flour.
Deities of Yule are all
Newborn Gods, Sun Gods, Mother Goddesses, and Triple Goddesses. The best known would be the Dagda, and Brighid, the daughter of the Dagda.
Brighid taught the smiths the arts of fire tending and the secrets of
metal work. Brighid's flame, like the flame of the new light, pierces
the darkness of the spirit and mind, while the Dagda's cauldron assures
that Nature will always provide for all the children.

What's Happening Today:
Pagan/Wicca: Yule - occurs on the date of the
winter solstice. It is also known as Winter Rite, Midwinter, and Alban
Arthan. Yule is celebrated on the longest night of the year, and it is
seen by many as the time when the sun begins its jou...rney back from the darkness to the fullest light, celebrated at the Summer
Solstice. It is the festival of the Sun's rebirth, and a time to honor
the winter aspects of the God and Goddess. The festival of Yule was
originally celebrated in Norse and Germanic countries, and many Pagans
choose to honor those aspects of the God and Goddess at this time of
year.
Celtic: Alban Arthuan (Winter Soltice)
Stregheria: La Festa dell' Inverno, Saturnalia
(Southern Hemisphere) Midsummer - Summer Solstice (also known as Alban, Hefin,
and Letha) is the longest day of the year when the Sun is at its zenith. It is the celebration of the fullest light of the Sun, and the time
when the Sun turns back towards the darkness of the year. In many Wiccan traditions, It is the ideal time for divinations, Healing rituals, and
the cutting of divining rods, dowsing rods, and wands.
Beiwe/Rohanitza
"Beiwe is the sun-goddess worshipped by the Saami, the indigenous people of
Finland. She travels with her daughter, Beiwe-Neia, through the sky in
an enclosure of reindeer bones, bringing back the green plants for the
reindeer to feed upon. On the Winter Solstice, her worshippers sacrifice white female animals and thread the meat on sticks which they bend into rings and tie with bright ribbons. They also smear their doorposts with butter so Beiwe can eat the rich food and begin her recovery." School of the Seasons:

Winter Solstice

Winter Solstice
~~~
On this long‑shadowed day
I set the host-gifts out. On this day
Even the needy to the needy offer gifts;
My prayer‑gifts I offer with these my hands:
May a thin cushion of mercy soften
The between‑a‑rock‑and‑a‑hard‑place place you dwell;
May your shovel seem a little lighter
As you heft yet another spadeful against the tide;
May it be, as you curl against the cold‑sheeted night
That a warmth enfold itself around your back,
May the candle you still have courage enough to light
Be thanks and praise for fire, for bread and wine;
May no more salt run down into your cup,
May your ghosts be exorcised
May pain leave you
May cats come to you
May the intangibles freedom, vision and peace
Dispel the encroachment of the sorrowing dark!
May you believe in the lengthening of days,
May your presents be the future.
Blessed be!
A Greenwood Carol
A Greenwood Carol
Tune: Polly in the Holly (traditional)
Lyrics by Aes and Etaine of Preachain
Oh the Oak rests in the winter time to marshal his strength
But the Holly stays bright and green the whole winter's length
Green branches in the winter promise life to be,
and the first tree in the greenwood, it was the holly.
Holly! Holly! Oh the first tree in the greenwood, it was the holly.
Oh the fir waits in the wood it's boughs bearded with snow
To come inside for the Yuletide the axe it must know
Green branches in the winter promise life to be,
and the first tree in the greenwood, it was the holly.
Holly! Holly! Oh the first tree in the greenwood, it was the holly.
With an axe we go a-hunting the green-boughed fir tree
as our forebears have done through the long centuries.
Green branches in the winter promise life to be,
and the first tree in the greenwood, it was the holly.
Holly! Holly! Oh the first tree in the greenwood, it was the holly.
The Stag leaps through the wood with his proud crown of horn
And it is through his sacrifice the Sun is reborn
Green branches in the winter promise life to be,
and the first tree in the greenwood, it was the holly.
Holly! Holly! Oh the first tree in the greenwood, it was the holly.
The Oak burns in the hearth for to give us good cheer
From Darkness come the Light at this turn of the year
Green branches in the winter promise life to be,
and the first tree in the greenwood, it was the holly.
Holly! Holly! Oh the first tree in the greenwood, it was the holly.
The Wheel keeps on turning, through dark and through light,
and we sing to its honor, on this longest night.
Green branches in the winter promise life to be,
and the first tree in the greenwood, it was the holly.
Holly! Holly! Oh the first tree in the greenwood, it was the holly.
Solstice Meditation and Visualization
Solstice Meditation and Visualization
Winter Solstice is an excellent time to undergo a vision quest to find your magickal name, a totem animal, a mantra, or other empowering insights. This meditation is meant to accent that quest by opening your awareness to the power within and without all things. Begin in a standing position. Center yourself and breathe deeply. Slowly take off your mundane clothes., likewise removing the "World" with each. Wrap a blanket around yourself for warmth, but remain naked for the meditation. You need no trappings to discover personal power.
Sit and close
your eyes. Let any remaining tension drain away, then begin listening to the sound of silence. Smell the aromas of oak and herb. Feel the latent energy of everything around you and the magick you've placed there. Know it is your own. Listen to your breath and your heartbeat. Sense the pulse and bb within as the same energy without. Listen closely;
does it whisper a message to you? Does it whisper a name? Do you hear the cry of an animal? Do you hear words that fill you with energy?
Linger in this place between Earth and stars until you receive a
message.
Then return to normal levels of awareness, and write the experience in your journal.
Ritual Foods
Go with your traditional holiday foods, which for me include many that have solar symbolism. Cookies are round like the sun, eggnog is golden and fertile, gingerbread is hot and spicy, and fruitcake
bears red and orange highlights. As a side, try a little flaming brandy to warm you up!
Capricorn Begins (Various Locations) Goddess Of The Day: AMALTHEIA
Posted by: "Cher Chirichello" CHIC0411@YAHOO.COM chic0411
Capricorn Begins (Various Locations)
Goddess Of The Day: AMALTHEIA
Themes: Success; Humor; Reason; Devotion; Providence
Symbols: Goat; Cornucopia; Stars
About
Amaltheia: In Greek Mythology, this she-goat goddess nourished Zeus as
an infant. In later years, Zeus broke off one of her horns,which became the cornucopia, providing sustenance for all earth's creatures.
For her diligence and service, Amaltheia was transformed into the constellation Capricorn, where she remains.
To Do
Today: This astrological sign begins on the first day of winter with the power of logic and reason to guide action, balanced by a keen sense of humor when the going gets rough. Those born under this sign strive
tenaciously for success, like the stubborn goat that they are. To improve your personal tenacity, make a paper horn filled with fruit.
From now until the end of the year, at a piece of fruit each day named after the area of your life in which you need Amaltheia's diligence. Take
that energy with you each day so that by the end of the year you will achieve success. Other ways of emphasizing Amaltheia's power include keeping
the image of a goat (perhaps cut out of a magazine, or one
made of
stone) on your altar or in another place of honor today, carrying
fortitude-inspiring herbs like gingerroot and carnation, or tucking in your pocket for the day stones that inspire victory (like marble).
Mistletoe Magic
Mistletoe Magic
Mistletoe has long been used for protection and for love magic.
Burning mistletoe banishes evil. Take a bottle of rubbing alcohol and
drop fresh mistletoe sprigs in it. Let this set for a few hours. The
longer it rests, the more potent will be the potion. When ready, pour
the alcohol in your cauldron and light it. If you do not have time to
allow the potion to rest, instead burn some sprigs of mistletoe. As you
burn the potion or sprigs, say: "Evil may not reside or visit this happy and healthy home—not in any form, nor at any time. This home is
protected by the Mother Goddess and Father God. Blessed are those who
reside here. So it is from this day forward." You may also empower a
mistletoe wreath for additional protection.
The Full Cold Moon; or the Full Long Nights Moon - December During this month the winter cold fastens its grip, and nights are at their longest and darkest. It is also sometimes called the Moon before Yule. The term Long Night Moon is a doubly appropriate name because the midwinter night is indeed long, and because the Moon is above the horizon for a long time. The midwinter full Moon has a high trajectory across the sky because it is opposite a low Sun.
Winter Solstice (Winter begins) Today at 6:41 evening.
Sun Rides Low, at Southern tropic (turn), enters the sign of Capricorn.
Tuesday, Dec 21st, 2010 -- This is a powerful day with a restless Gemini Full Moon Eclipse at 3:13 am EST, followed by the Moon's move into sensitive Cancer at 4:22 am. The Winter Solstice is marked by the Sun's entry into traditional Capricorn at 6:38 pm, reinforcing the intensity of today's energetic shift. Desire for change is juxtaposed with fear of losing control. We are tempted to express a full spectrum of emotions as talkative Mercury squares exuberant Jupiter
Today marks the Sun in Capricorn, a Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in truth-seeking Gemini and the Winter Solstice -- the longest night of the year, a time of reflection and contemplation.
