Always worn leather on the motor bike. I went down on my roller blades a few years ago in Darwin, only wearing running shorts going 20 kpm, the gravel rash even at that speed was bad news.

Thank you for your opinions
I have found this for reference not sure if any one else knows about it
http://www.veganwares.com/motorcycle.htm and to be honest I am questioning
the strength of the boots and I don't want to test them to see if they work
so my imagination is running wild with a jacket and pants.

Glen Johnston (aka Glyn Le Fae) passed away at home, peacefully,
surrounded by friends and family on 4th December 2010.

Friends and family have organised a send-off party for Glen at the
North Bondi Surf Club from 6pm (onwards) Saturday 18 December. It
will also be a birthday party and final mad hatter party shared by
Glen and his daughter Amber. Please spread the word and come with
laughter, stories, photo's and good cheer!!!

Glen's send-off will be a Viking burning of his famous red surfboard
and scattering of his ashes attended by the Bondi Surfies. A re-
enactment group of archers and broadswordsmen will also be there.

I first met Glen in the weeks preceding one of our long running
annual Eostre Gatherings in the late 1980's and he quickly became an
established part of the growing Sydney Pagan community. In the years
that followed, Glen offered to organise the filming of many of the
rituals performed at the Eostre Gathering, held over the Easter long
weekend. This proved to be a great opportunity to archive experiences
that would have been otherwise long forgotten by now. I have many
fond memories of Glen and he remained a good friend and supporter of
our ritual events. I was fortunate to be able to visit Glen during
his recent hospital stay. Glen was a very generous man and he'll be
missed.

I hope to see any fellow pagans who would like to offer Glen a send-off.
