Charm To Get Customers

If you want to make a quick charm for drawing paying customers, place a lump
of pyrite, a little allspice, and bit of chamomile on a crisp one dollar
bill. Fold the dollar bill into a neat packet and hide it in or around the
register or some such place.

A Career Success Spell Bag
A personal spell bag. Keep it with you during opportunities to impress
others. When not in use, lock it in the drawer. Leave it there to continue
its powers.

Dark-blue candle
Deep-blue drawstring bag
Deep-blue cord
Lapiz lazuli or turquoise stone
Small gold item
Some cinnamon; dried eyebright, rue or sage
On a Thursday evening.

Light the candle. Add the stone, gold item, cinnamon and herb, one by one,
to the bag, saying each time:

"Bring success to me."

When all items are inside the bag, close it and tie with the cord, making 3
knots and saying:

"One for the making,
Two for increasing,
Three for achieving what I do see.
Work for me every day of the week."

Pass the bag over the candle flame, not too close and repeat the chant. The
bag is ready for use.

Business spell
Rite No 1

l. This rite should be performed before twelve noon in the morning of any
Wendsday.

2. It is particularly useftul for persons who own and/or run small
businesses(shops, etc) where customers go personally to make purchases.

3. You require rhe following items: one-half a cup of granulated sugar
(preferably white in colour), one tablespoonful of allspice, and a little
quantity ofsalt-petre (potassi"m nitrate),

4. Mix the said items ia a scrubbing bucket, etc, with some amount of clean
water:

As you mix the items together, state your wishes as many times as you can.

5. Stand outside the door through which customers normally enter the shop
premises. Scrub the floor of the entrance of this door. Scrub from the
outside inwards (i.e. into the shop premises). If there is a carpet at the
entrance of the door you may either lift it and scrub the floor or you can
sprinkle some of the water on the carpet. If customers enter the shop
premises through more than one door then you should scrub the entrances of
all the doors concerned.

6. As often as you can you must, in addition, scrub, or sprinkle the mixture
on, the entrance to your home after making your wishes.

Rite No. 2

This rite is similar to the preceding rite except that the items to be used
are cinnamon,ammonia and sugar.

The procedure is identical to the preceding one. That is, mix one-half a cup
of sugar with a small quantity of cinnamon and about one pint of ammonia
(aqueous/liquida mmonia) plus some water for scrubbing the enrtrance of the
main door through which customers enter the shop premises. As mentioned in
the preceding rite, you must make your wishes before you scrub the floor or
sprinkle the mixture at the entrance of the door in question.

Furthermore, you should frequently prepare some of the mixture and, after
making your wishes in the usual way, sprinkle it at the entrance to your
home or scrub the entrance witli it.

It draws more and more customersin to your shop and, after they had been
into your shop once, they will keep coming back to the shop to purchase
their requirements. The rite will, furthermore, attract more money and
material prosperity to you as well as other occupants of your home.

Attracting Business Spell
This spell helps attract money to creative people, innovators and those who
think outside of the comfort zone.

Take ONE PURPLE CANDLE and ONE GREEN CANDLE and carve into them your
personal circumstances. Be as creative or as straight to the point as you
wish.

Anoint each candle with PATCHOULI OIL then roll in BASIL.

Place the CANDLES on either side of a FOOL CARD drawn from the tarot deck of
choice.

Burn candles and imagine success.

Cash Booster
It is said that placing a piece of citrine or cinnabar in a cash register
drawer will improve sales for a business. The same method can be applied to
a home business, by creating a box for collecting monies paid, even if they
are just printed receipts from credit card transactions.
Both stones are considered useful for both increase in income, and
maintaining a steady flow of income.

We were on the Carnival Conquest on our first cruise. It sounds like you had a fabulous time. I hope we can go back in the next few years. Welcome back.

Thanks Annette. The Carnival ships are awesome. There was so much to do on board some people didn't even go ashore.

Elder's Meditation of the Day

"If you have one hundred people who live together, and if each one cares for the rest, there is One Mind."

-- Shining Arrows, CROW

One of the principles of Community is Unity. The alignment of thoughts in groups of people will cause One Mind to form. One Mind is Unity. Each individual in the community must align their thoughts with what other members are thinking. If all the people think of helping one another, then the community will be service oriented and powerful results will be enjoyed. Having our thoughts aligned within a group will cause our children to experience a positive environment. When they have children, the grandchildren will automatically experience these results also.

My Creator, help me to contribute to positive group thought.

7 Unworldly and Unexplained Mysteries

7 Unworldly and Unexplained Mysteries
By Eric J. Leech

There are many mysteries in the world, but today we're going to focus on seven of the most interesting and unexplained ones. While a few of these events are more myth than fact, they have nonetheless captured the attention of many scientists and experts who've been left scratching their heads, unable to offer a clear explanation.
1. The Egyptian Pyramids
Many of the Egyptian pyramids would be difficult to build today, much less with the tools and knowledge found in 2500 BC. The Pyramid of Cheops, built by King Khufu, stands 480 feet and is composed of 2,300,000 stones, each weighing as much as two tons. Some experts believe that alien intervention would have been necessary to accomplished such a feat, while others say thousands of slaves using giant pulley systems could have conceivably built these within a span of 20 years or more.
2. Stonehenge
Similar to the Egyptian Pyramids, Stonehenge is a series of seemingly impossible to move stones, found 240 miles from the Prescelly mountains of Wales, or what might be best described as "out in the middle of nowhere." This site was built over the course of 1,400 years, beginning with a wooden sanctuary that was eventually replaced by large blue stones and larger sarsen stone. Some of the stones are estimated to weigh as much as 25 tons, and stand as high as 18 feet. The real mystery lies in how these stones were moved, who moved them, and what the meaning behind their arrangement is.
3. The Lost Colony
Roanoke Island was established in the 1500s by English settlers, who repeatedly attempted to start a colony in the New World (America). Each attempt failed, resulting in them being rescued and brought back to England. In 1587, John White brought a batch of 117 colonists to the island. He left to bring more resources, but when he returned three years later, he only found some fencing left over, and two messages. One message read "Croatoan" (a nearby island), and the other "CRO."
4. Taos Hum
The Taos hum is a chugging sound, described as that of a diesel engine buried deep with the ground. It can only be heard by a very select group of people (about two percent of the population), and appears to have just "turned on" one day, and has been ongoing ever since. The sound is particularly loud in Taos, New Mexico, where residents petitioned congress in 1993 to investigate its cause. One theory says that the sound is sourced from cordless electronics, another believes that it's military in nature, while a third party theorizes it could be a signal from outer space.
5. Bermuda Triangle (Devil's Triangle)
The Bermuda triangle itself is made up of three coordinate points that are connected by Miami (Florida), Puerto Rico, and Bermuda Island. Some of the evidence that has brought this mystery to life are the countless planes lost in the area, and a ship's log found from the explorer Christopher Columbus. Columbus wrote of compass malfunctions, "flames," and "strange dancing lights" while traveling through the triangle. Nobody knows what could be behind the mysterious lights and disappearances, but many travelers continue to avoid this particular route of travel.
6. Faces of Belmez
The story goes that an eerie face appeared in the cement kitchen floor of a home in Belmez, Spain. The family broke up the floor and laid fresh cement in its place. Over the next several months, more faces began to appear, and news traveled to tourists across the country. Public officials eventually ordered the floor to be dug up, finding countless headless skeletons within the ground. Some 50 years after these events, ghost hunters continue to visit the home, with one particular group claiming to have an EVP (Electronic Voice Phenomena) recording of a voice whispering, "I want to leave."
7. Dark Energy
Dark energy is an interesting concept fueled by the mystery of how the universe actually came into existence. Some scientists theorize that the universe appeared 13.7 billion years ago, created by a big bang. However, rather than an actual "bang," per se, the universe can also be theorized to have been pulled apart by a mysterious source of energy called dark energy. This energy is the source of our continuously broadening universe, and most importantly is a source of evidence that multiple universes and life on other planets may indeed exist beyond our current reach.

Mercury in Retrograde in 2011

Posted by: "Lady Nightshayde" LadyNightshayde9@aol.com   nightshayde99

Thu Dec 23, 2010 1:25 pm (PST)

Retrograde Mercury for 2011
By Cortney Litwin

I'm often surprised to discover that even if someone doesn't know much about astrology, they are often knowledgeable about retrograde Mercury. They at least know you shouldn't sign anything, plan anything or agree to anything until after retrograde Mercury turns direct. That's often true, but there are ways of getting around this troublesome influence.
Trickster Planet
Here's the scoop: Every four months, the planet of communications and travel turns retrograde for about three weeks, causing misunderstandings, travel snafus and other annoying glitches that can derail your daily routine. So should you put your life on hold during these time periods? Certainly not! However, you will need to be diligent (obsessively so) about the details and fine print – in discussions, online and on paper – concerning whatever you're trying to accomplish.
Crucial Periods
What's more, you'll notice that some retrograde periods will affect your life more than others. For me, there are times when retrograde Mercury passes with little notice, and others when just about everything I try to do encounters a roadblock. It all depends on where Mercury is transiting in an astrology chart. You'll likely feel the influence most when Mercury is transiting through your 1st, 4th, 7th or 10th house. Also, when it's squaring (90 degrees) or opposing (180 degrees) your natal Mercury.
The Good News…
So is there a positive side to this influence? Yes. Retrograde periods help turn you inward, so that you can get in touch with the deeper parts of your consciousness. Retrogrades encourage you to evaluate where you're headed and your plans for getting there. Meditation, therapy and dream analysis are tools that you can use to work with retrograde Mercury (and other retrograde planets).
On a practical level, retrograde Mercury favors organizing, repairing, eliminating and resolving the past. Organizing your work space and home environment, cleaning out closets, repairing what's broken, talking about the past and generally tying up loose ends are all retrograde Mercury tasks.
So take note of the following retrograde Mercury periods for 2011, and then be extra mindful when speaking, listening to others and making plans. Getting organized couldn't hurt, either.
Retrograde Mercury for 2011
Retrograde: March 30 in Aries 24°
Direct: April 23 in Aries 12°
Challenges: Since Aries is the sign of development, launching a new idea or project may be particularly difficult. Also, you may find it challenging to stand up for yourself or express yourself as an individual.
Gifts: Analyzing how you express your ideas and desires will heighten your ability to share your true self.
Most affected: Those with natal Mercury in Aries, Cancer, Libra or Capricorn, or with Aries in the 1st, 4th, 7th or 10th house.
Retrograde: August 2 in Virgo 1°
Direct: August 26 in Leo 18°
(Since retrograde Mercury backs out of Virgo and into Leo at the start of this period, Leo is the primary influence.)

Challenges: Blocks may arise to starting a new creative project or getting a new romantic relationship off the ground.

Gifts: Doing some soul searching about giving and receiving love will bring insights that improve romance. This influence also favors working on a creative project you've already started and/or meditating to get in touch with your inner muse.

Most affected: Those with natal Mercury in Taurus, Leo, Scorpio or Aquarius, or with Leo in the 1st, 4th, 7th or 10th house.
Retrograde: November 23 in Sagittarius 20°
Direct: December 13 in Sagittarius 3°
Challenges: Be alert to miscommunications involving education, travel, law or spirituality.

Gifts: Taking some time for your spiritual life and analyzing your future path will bring rewards. Also, it may be time to evaluate your education goals.

Most affected: Those with natal Mercury in Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius or Pisces, or with Sagittarius in the 1st, 4th, 7th or 10th house.

Lunar Cycles

Posted by: "Lady Nightshayde" LadyNightshayde9@aol.com   nightshayde99

Lunar Cycles

Your "lunar high" occurs when the Moon is in the same sign as your natal Sun. If you are a Sagittarius, for example, your lunar high will occur when the Moon is in Sagittarius. The result would be a time of inspiration, when new ventures could be successfully implemented. It is a day when you are most emotionally like your Sun sign. It is a day when your thinking is most sound.

Your "lunar low" occurs when the Moon is in the sign opposite your natal Sun. If you are a Taurus, your lunar low would occur when the Moon is in Scorpio. Since you are least sure of your decisions on this day, try to postpone major decisions. You will run into opposition in whatever you may start. This is, however, a good day to exchange ideas since you are much more aware of other people. You may feel restless and will want to keep busy. Plan constructive (but not demanding) projects.

If you know the sign and degree of the Moon at the time of your birth, you can determine your "lunar birthday"--when the transiting Moon is conjunct (in the same sign as your natal Moon). If your natal Moon is in Gemini, your lunar birthday is when the Moon is in Gemini. This is a time when you respond rather than initiate. you might be absorbed in feelings and sensations. You will often want to be in the company of women on this day.

If you know the position of your natal planets, you can plot the Moon's passage over these points.

Mercury: A good day for ideas and communications.

Venus: Go out and have a good time.

Mars: Work hard. You may be irritating or irritated.

Jupiter: Don't overindulge. You feel optimistic and self-confident.

Saturn: Look into yourself. You are realistic and feeling serious today.

Uranus: Surprises and excitement. A good day to explore and experiment.

Neptune: You are very emotional. You may forget things and feel lost.

Pluto: You want to be alone.

Blessed Be,
Lady Nightshayde

Twelfth Night

Posted by: "Lady Nightshayde" LadyNightshayde9@aol.com   nightshayde99

Thu Dec 23, 2010 9:18 pm (PST)

Twelfth Night

A traditional song for the end of the Yule season opens:

Down with the rosemary and bay,
Down with the mistletoe.

This day is traditionally known as Twelfth Night, the last of the
twelve days of Christmas. It's time now to take down your
decorations; in fact, many people believe keeping them up after this day will bring bad luck. If you still want some decoration in your living space now, generic winter fare such as plain white lights or greenery will have to do. Extra plants can keep the winter blues away and the air fresh.

Notes:
Holiday lore: Twelfth Night celebrations in cultures around the world call for cake-baking. In France, the cake is called Galette des Rois (the King's Cake); in England, the cake has lucky charms baked inside it, and in Mexico, the cake is crown-shaped.

Surviving the Holidays with Non-Pagan Family

Posted by: "Lady Nightshayde" LadyNightshayde9@aol.com   nightshayde99

Surviving the Holidays with Non-Pagan Family

The holidays can be a stressful time for people whose family doesn't approve of their spiritual path.

In some families, the holiday get-together is something we look forward to. In fact, it may be the only time you even see some members of your family. However, if you're a Pagan or Wiccan, and the rest of them aren't, there are times when the winter holidays can be a bit awkward. So what can you do to make the season's celebrations a bit more harmonious?

First of all, remember that this is a day for families to get together and enjoy themselves. It's not a day to battle about religion or anything else. If your family celebrates a Christian holiday, no matter how you feel about Christianity, don't choose this as the day to talk about how ridiculous you think the Baby Jesus story is.
Recognize that just because you celebrate the Solstice or Yule doesn't necessarily mean that your whole family wants to hear about it. If your family is uncomfortable with your choice of spiritual path, Christmas dinner at Grandma's is not the time to bring it up. While it's nice to be able to share your beliefs with people you love, if it makes them uncomfortable, drop the subject, at least for now.

Start a new tradition. If your family is willing and open, consider asking them to join you at your home for a Solstice breakfast or something similar. This way, they can see what how you celebrate, and then you can join them a few days later for Christmas.

Keep communication open. If a parent or sibling asks questions about your beliefs, answer honestly, but don't let them antagonize you. If your sister tells you you're a sinner who's going to burn in hell, step back from the discussion. Say, "You know, I'm sorry you feel this way, and I'd be happy to discuss it another time, but not today. Pass the gravy, please."
If your family says a Christian blessing before eating, don't make a scene. You're not obligated to participate, but what you could do instead is offer up a silent thanks to the gods of your own tradition.
If going to a family member's home holds unpleasant memories for you -- if you grew up in an abusive family, for example -- then take something along with you that makes you feel better. Bring along a favorite crystal, a sachet with soothing herbs, or a piece of jewelry that makes you feel grounded. When you feel yourself getting stressed out, take a few minutes to get away from everyone who's making you feel frustrated, and try to re-center yourself. Remember, you're just visiting, and you'll be going home soon.

If you're taking your spouse or partner with you, talk to them ahead of time about any concerns or fears you may have about seeing your family. Sharing these worries is healthy, plus it will allow you to present a united front.
Keep your alcohol consumption to a minimum, or don't drink at all during a holiday event. Booze tends to make us say things we normally wouldn't, and the last thing you want to do is get in a drunken shouting match with your mom just because she thinks your pentacle necklace is tacky.

Finally, understand that while people can change, they don't do it overnight. If there's a conflict about spiritual beliefs at your family's holiday dinner, wait until another time to work on it. Realize that if even your family doesn't approve of your religion, they still love you.
