Ahhh, Tina...you're just giving me a complete breakdown to what's going on, so no need to apologize. It sounds as though your situation is even grimmer than mine. The key difference for my own is that others who could do more refuse to. You, on the other hand, simply ran out of people to help you (or such is my impression). I have the complication of a car that will come up for repo tomorrow (if anyone can pay for a tarot reading, I'll be glad to supply details upon request for my website) and I am unemployed at the moment. So my options are a little limited at the moment. But I see the truth in your words and I will, at the least, consider them. Thank you...and thank you Beth for the encouragement.

The Promise of Spring
According to Sandra Kynes, author of A Year of Ritual, in the old days of
Wales, Ostara was called Lady Day and celebrated the return of the Goddess
after her winter hibernation. Like the avalanche lilies on Mt. Rainier, which
magically appear in all their glory as the snows melt around them. So too the
Goddess waits for us as Spring returns, we just need to seek her out.
How does one reach out to the Goddess? You have to find a way to tune out
everything and everyone for a short time while you stop the madness, which we
call modern life. Turn off the phone, the television and the computer! If
possible go to the beach, the forest or the mountain. Get away from the noise,
the hustle and the stress. You just need to find a way to stop and be still.
Then ground and focus on your Goddess.
You'll know you’re ready when you can hear your heart beating. You are calm and
the noise is gone.
I prefer to relax on Mt. Rainier or Baker's Beach in San Francisco or along a
beautiful stream or in a forest cabin while I prepare to commune with my
Goddess. Once I am calm, centered and focused it's a simple matter of reaching
out to The Lady.
There is a trail from Paradise Lodge to Mt. Rainier, which I like to visualize.
I come over a rise, there is a rocky outcrop on the right where marmots like to
bask in the sun. I feel the warmth of a brilliant spring sun on my back. The
marmots scurry away as I walk by. There on the left of the trail is a dark
haired beauty who quietly watches my approach. As I near the Lady I am drawn to
her eyes. Her eyes are constantly changing shape and colour reflecting every
race on the planet. As we talk, I become accustomed to the changes. Stellar
Jays interrupt our discussions chasing squirrels from their perch. The Lady is
loving, warm and comforting as she answers my questions and provides guidance.
The spring breeze brings the heady scent of avalanche lilies. It's absolutely
glorious to be in intimate contact with my deity. Two marmots make a raucous
noise over some favoured spot in the sun. I look over my shoulder to see what
the noise is all about. When I look back The Lady is gone.
I am warm and serene as I hike back down the trail towards the Lodge at
Paradise. I am happy that there is plenty of time on the trail to relive my
discussions with The Goddess and try to make sense of what I have learned.
You too can develop a visualization method to create a place between space and
time where you can reach out to your deity. We need only turn off the noise and
reach out.

Ear Mites

Here is a topic,
Does anyone have any good suggestions for home remedies on how to get rid of
ear mites in felines. My kitties have it, and are litterally being bugged by
it. I tried the walmart crap, and that just gave them a yeast infection. I
have tried aloe, doesn't do much either, but smoothes everything out tho..Any
other suggestions I could try? Starting to get bugged myself. I hate it when
my cats are not feeling well.

Mineral oil.
The way to kill ear mites is to basically drown/suffocate them.
With and eye dropper drop a couple or three good drops into the cats ear, then before they can shake it out - you have to be quick! - rub the base of the ear to get the oil in there.
Repeat in the other ear.
The kitty will shake some out, but that's ok. They shake out some of the oil, but also some of the mite debris.
You need to do this twice a day, maybe for several weeks.
Ear mites are sneaky, you think they're gone and then bam they're back.
Also, it's very important to gently clean the brown goop out of the ear a couple of times a day.
Unless you've been shown by a Vet how to use a q-tip in a cats ear DO NOT use them. You can severely and permately damage the inside of the ear canal if you go too far in.

Thanks for the prompt reply Beth, I do have mineral oil and I will have them
treated with it. I will keep you posted on their improvement. I have been shown
how to use a q-tip from our vet. I don't wan't to go take them in if it can be
treated at home. This is the second time Mineral Oil was recomended but never
tried it. I will make a day out of cleaning ears. I will also keep you posted.

You got a quick reply because I happened to be online. :)
And because animals are my focus in this life.
Yep, make a day out of ear cleaning, But remember this is going to be an every day, twice a day regiment for weeks.
And you're going to have to clean ears every day.
The stuff the Vet gives for ear mites is basically just mineral oil. Just more expensive than WalMart or whatever.
Good that you've been shown how to use the q-tips. They make a huge difference in keeping that brown/black mite uck cleaned out.
Also, the kitties have no doubt been scratching their ears, so their ears are going to be sore and sensitive. Be gentle and patient with the little babes. You might want to do a bit, wait an hour or so and work some more at it.
How many cats do you have? Another thing about ear mites, if you have more than one cat is that they keep passing the mites around to each other.
I'd appreciate an update. Thanks.
