I am whole unto myself:~
I am the Bright Maiden
Strong invincible and free...
I am the Dark Maiden
Cloaked in veils and mystery...
********************* ********* **
Come Sisters and join with us to become a community of women. Sister time is sacred time, a time of heightened awareness of being. A time not to be spent in the regular world, doing ordinary tasks, distracted by small talk, men or children. This is an invitation to you to join with us in reclaiming wimmin's traditions in a full weekend of workshops and ritual.
What is Wemoon?
Wemoon was started by Hawthorne many years ago out of a desire to help women reconnect with their inner Goddess in a safe and nurturing environment. Hawthorne revived Wemoon in 2009 as a small but intimate gathering. After an overwhelming and positive response Hawthorne has decided to run Wemoon again in 2010.
This Wemoon we will experience the power of the Maiden. She who is sufficent unto Self. She who is the Warrior and the Priestess, the Bright Maiden and the Dark Maiden.
Rituals
There will be two main rituals over the weekend. One during the day for the Bright Maiden and one at Night for the Dark Maiden. There will also be workshops that cover learning concepts and the creation of sacred obects that will prepare you for each ritual.
Each Wemoon event is a different experience, but special rites have always been made available upon request.
Special rites available are:
First Flow
Mothers (or female guardian) bring their daughters, 14 and older, upon menstruation to undergo a rite of passage into womanhood.
Mother Blessing
A blessing rite bestowed upon women who are expecting a child.
Crone Rite
A Woman's Rite of Passage into Crone-hood upon reaching menopause.
Re-consecration of the Womb
A healing rite for those who have been sexually abused.
Other needful rites are available by request. Please contact Hawthorn to discuss.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/ uknews/law- and-order/ 8098613/Police- given-advice- on-witches- and-pagans. html
It is Hallowe'en and the witching hour is drawing nearer, but don't be
alarmed police officers are on the case, having been issued with
official guidance on how to deal with witches.
The advice is contained in a 300-page "diversity handbook" which gives
officers a range of "dos and don'ts" when approaching followers of a
range of religions and other beliefs, from atheism to Zoroastrianism.
Instructions include avoid touching a witch's "Book of Shadows", which
contains their spells, or handling their ceremonial dagger.
[...]
Officers are also given advice on the ceremonial dagger, known as an
athame, carried by witches and some other categories of pagan.
"When entering a witch's home do not touch an athame without the
owner's permission," it says.
