My daughter is having a problem with a co-worker...It has been building and
is out of control. She has never done anything to this girl, but now she has
evolved into verbal attacks against us as well trying to invoke a fight with
her only to get her fired.
It's not easy for my daughter to leave her job because it's a small town and
jobs are hard to come by and she needs to take care of her little one since
she is a single mom and she doesn't have her own car to venture out to other
towns.
It's all about jealousy and envy...The corporate office is looking at my
daughter for another promotion and this girl has basically started attacking
her left and right. It hasn't gone to blows with the fists yet but she is
constantly provoking her and started in on her today right when she stepped
in the door. She has made false accusations to the boss and fake right us
when they both are shift leaders and everything. You see the boss is leaving
at the end of the year and this girl is trying her best to damage my
daughter's reputation and get her fired because she doesn't want my daughter
to get the position even though my daughter has been there alot longer then
her and have been numbers then she does.... The corpotate office is just
crazy about my daughter and is glad that they have such a young employee
that works so hard... My daughter is also the youngest shift manager that
they have ever had....she just turned 22. Everyone knows that she is trying
anything she can to get my daughter fired so that she could be in line for
the promotion, but my daughter is often called in to help her because she
cannot do things efficiently.
She recently got mad at my daughter because her hair dyeing project wouldn't
take and my daughters did....and my daughter aced her written drivers test
and got her license and she has never gotten her license and she is 30
something but has been driving for years.
My daughter recently help the store when a trophy, etc, for having the
fastest drive throught time and the store has never one.... The have been
winning things left and right due to my daughter. I mean she is focused and
driven and wants things and my daughter wanted that trophy and worked very
hard to get it beating out a store by 3 minutes.
So now she is attacking her family (us) with verbal insults and saying them
to her to make her literally slap her.
My other daughter who is in the craft have tried to bind her attacks and
have had my daughter put the woman's name in the freezer and she is just
blowing through it...
Her attacks will not stop and to involved us in it now is just going way out
of line....
I guess since any of her other attacks are not working as she plan she has
now started with us..
The girl's name is Angela Birdsong and she works at the KFC here on highway
82 in Winona, Ms.
My daughter's name is Nica...She is so frustrated and upset that this girl
will not just leave her alone.... The boss is not doing anything to stop the
mess either...He feeds off of it...He likes drama....
You may post this to anyone that can help or has a spell..

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21): Philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche wrote a
book called *Ecce Homo: How One Becomes What One Is.* I'd love it if in
the next few weeks you would think a lot about how you are on your way
to becoming what you were born to be. Current astrological omens
suggest you will have special insight into that theme. For inspiration, you
might want to borrow some of Nietzsche's chapter titles, including the
following: "Why I Am So Wise," "Why I Am So Clever," and "Why I Am a
Destiny."
CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19): During some of her concerts, Capricorn
singer Hayley Williams (lead vocalist of Paramore) has worn a tank top
that bears the phrase "Brand New Eyes." I encourage you to consider
making that your own guiding principle for a while. By pointedly declaring
your intention to view the world with refreshed vision, you will be able to
tune in to sights that have been invisible to you. You will discover secrets
hidden in plain view and maybe even carve out a window where before
there had been a thick, blank wall.
AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18): Much of my recent book, *Pronoia Is the
Antidote for Paranoia,* is rated PG. Some is R. But there's one story
that's X. Not in the same way that porn is. While it's uninhibited in its
rendering of ecstatic eroticism, it's a feminist meditation on spiritual
intimacy, not a heap of vulgar stereotypes. Still, when the book came out,
I couldn't bear the thought of sending copies to certain relatives of mine
who are a bit prudish. So I came to an honorable compromise: Using a
razor blade, I sliced out the nine pages in question and gave my loved
ones the mostly-intact remainder. May I suggest you consider a
comparable editing of your efforts, Aquarius? Your main object right now
is to win friends and influence people.
PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20): In the waters off the southwest coast of
Africa, the small fish known as the bearded goby has always been preyed
upon by jellyfish -- until recently. Now this formerly mild-mannered
species, whose diet used to consist of phytoplankton, has overthrown the
ancient status quo: It is feasting on the jellyfish that once feasted on it.
Scientists aren't sure why. I foresee a metaphorically comparable
development in your life, Pisces. How it will play out exactly, I'm not sure.
Maybe you'll gain an advantage over someone or something that has
always had an advantage over you. Maybe you will become the topdog in
a place where you've been the underdog. Or maybe you'll begin drawing
energy from a source that has in the past sucked your energy.
ARIES (March 21-April 19): Physicist Stephen Hawking believes it would
be dangerous to get in touch with extraterrestrial creatures. "If aliens visit
us," he says, "the outcome would be much as when Columbus landed in
America, which didn't turn out well for the Native Americans." Those
who've studied the teeming evidence for UFOs would say that Hawking's
warning is too late. Some mysterious non-human intelligence has been
here for a long time, and the fact that we are still around proves they're
no Spanish conquistadors. Aside from that, though, let's marvel at the
stupidity of Hawking's lame advice. As any mildly wise person knows,
exploring the unknown is not only an aid to our mental and spiritual health
-- it's a prerequisite. That'll be especially true for you Aries in the coming
weeks.
TAURUS (April 20-May 20): "At times, although one is perfectly in the
right, one's legs tremble," wrote philosopher V.V. Rozanov. "At other
times, although one is completely in the wrong, birds sing in one's soul."
That may have been the case for you last month, Taurus, but these days
it's the exact reverse. If your knees are wobbly, you're off-center, missing
the mark, or far from the heart of the matter. If, on the other, birds are
singing in your soul, it's because you're united with the beautiful truth.
There are a couple of caveats, though: The beautiful truth won't be
simple and bright; it'll be dense, convoluted, and kaleidoscopic. And the
birds' songs will sound more like a philharmonic orchestra pounding out
Beethoven's Fifth Symphony than a single flute playing a quaint folk song.

GEMINI (May 21-June 20): Are there any actors who have impersonated
as many different types of characters as Gemini chameleon Johnny Depp?
From rogue agent to chocolatier, from psychotic barber to astronaut, he
is a model of inconsistency -- a master of not imitating himself. (To

According to my reading of the omens, you now have a poetic license to
follow his lead. There have been few times in the last two years when
you've had this much freedom and permission to be so multiple,
mercurial, and mutant.
CANCER (June 21-July 22): A tattoo now adorns the neck of pop star
Rihanna. It says "rebelle fleur," which is a French phrase meaning "rebel
flower." The grammar police protested her new body art. They wished she
would have rendered it correctly -- as "fleur rebelle" -- since in French,
adjectives are supposed to follow, not precede, the nouns they refer to.
But I'm guessing Rihanna knew that. In reversing the order, she was
double-asserting her right to commit breezy acts of insurrection. Let's
make "rebelle fleur" your keynote in the coming days, Cancerian. Break
taboos, buck tradition, and overthrow conventional wisdom -- always with
blithe grace and jaunty charm.
LEO (July 23-Aug. 22): Research by German psychologists suggests that
positive superstitions may be helpful. Reporting in the journal
*Psychological Science,* they discovered that people who think they are
in possession of good luck charms outperform people who don't.
"Superstition-induced confidence" seems to act in ways akin to how
placebos work to heal sick people: It can provide a mysterious boost.

accordance with the astrological omens -- put this finding to the test. Get
yourself a magical object that stimulates your power to achieve success.
VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22): Psychologist Carl Jung said that we are all
connected to each other via the collective unconscious. Your psyche and
my psyche have taproots that sink deep into the memories and capacities
of the entire human race. According to my reading of the omens, your
taproots are now functioning more vigorously than they have in a long
time. You're in more intimate contact than usual with the primal pool of
possibilities. And what good is that, you may ask? Well, it means you have
the power to draw on mojo that transcends your personal abilities. Could
you make use of some liquid lightning, ambrosial dreams, or healing balm
from the beginning of time?
LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 22): If you want to get a gallon of milk directly from
the source, you have to squeeze a cow's udder over 300 times. I
recommend you use that as a metaphor for your task in the days to
come. It's going to take a lot of squirts or tugs or tweaks to get the
totality of what you want. Be patient and precise as you fill your cup little
by little. There's no way you can hurry the process by skipping some
steps.
SCORPIO (Oct. 23-Nov. 21): "Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit
the earth," says the Bible. That doesn't mean what most people think it
does. The word translated as "meek" is the Greek word *praus,* which in
ancient times didn't mean "weak-willed, passive, mild." Rather, it referred
to great power that was under rigorous control. For example, soldiers'
warhorses were considered *praus.* They heeded the commands of their
riders, but were fierce warriors that fought with tireless fervor. In this
spirit, Scorpio, I'm predicting you're about to get very "meek": offering
your tremendous force of will and intelligence in disciplined service to a

Putting Our Tools to Use
Bringing Inspiration into Form
Many of us have so many life tools we have learned, but sometimes we forget to use them. Revisit your toolbox.
Every craftsperson has a toolbox full of tools and a number of techniques to help them bring inspiration into form. In the same way, throughout our lives, we have discovered our own life tools and techniques—the ways and means that have helped us create our lives up to this point. Sometimes we forget about the tools and skills we've acquired, and we wonder why we aren't moving forward. At times like these, it might just be a matter of remembering what we already know, and rediscovering the tools we already have at our disposal.
In the process of becoming who we are and creating our lives, we have all gone through the experience of being inspired to do something and then finding the tools we needed to do it. If we look back, we may be able to remember that we used, for example, the tool of writing every day in order to clarify our intentions. We may also have used the tools of ritual, meditation, or visualization to make something happen. In addition, we may have been fueled by a new idea about how the universe works, which is what gave us the inspiration to use these tools.
In order for ideas to be powerful, they must be imbued with the energy of our engagement with them, and in order for tools to be effective they must be put to use. This sounds obvious, but often we fall into the habit of thinking we are engaging with ideas and using tools by virtue of the fact that we are reading about them, or listening to other people talk about them. In truth, using our tools is a very personal action, one we must take on behalf of ourselves. Like artists, we are each unique and no two of us will receive the same inspiration, nor will we bring it into form in the same two ways. To discover the truth of our own vision, we must take action by remembering our tools and putting them to use.

Birthstones-turquoise, blue zircon, blue topaz
Turquoise - Turquoise is a blue, green or a bluish green hydrous aluminum phosphate that is colored by copper.
The name means "Turkish stone" so named as the trade route that brought it to Europe originally came through Turkey.
Legends & Lore: Turquoise has been used for a long time, since before 4000 BC; Turquoise is believed to give the wearer
clarity, calm and the
ability to start something new. It also brings spoils to the warrior,
animals to the hunter, and happiness
and good fortune to all.
Blue Zircon - Blue zircon should be gently cleaned and abrasives should be avoided. Blue zircon is mined in Kampuchea,
Sri Lanka and Burma.
Legends & Lore: In Greek Mythology, a young boy named Hyacinth was
killed where his blood spilled gorgeous Grecian blue hyacinths grew.
Pliny compared the blue zircon to the hyacinth. During the Middle Ages, zircon was believed to promote sleep, riches, honor and wisdom. It
also drove away plagues and evil spirits; In the 1880's blue zircon was
widely used in Victorian jewelry; Heating yellow zircon creates blue
zircon.
Blue Topaz - A recent addition to the December birthstones is the blue topaz. Most blue topaz is artificially created by irradiation
of pale topaz. Legends & Lore: One famous blue topaz was found in 1904 in the Hill Country of Mason County, Texas, North America's largest
known gem-quality Topaz discovery. This 1,296-gram, pale-blue gem may
be seen in the Smithsonian Institution in Washington DC.; Blue topaz was designated the Texas state gem in 1969.
Flower - narcissus ~ Also know as the daffodil and the jonquil the narcissus
comes in many colors. Meanings include conceit and egotism. It is the
symbol of winter and the Chinese symbol of good fortune. The color
associated with December is white; its meaning is "stay as sweet as you are". The name is derived from the Greek narke, which means sleep
and/or numbness. In Greek mythology Narkissos was a beautiful youth who rejected all of his suitors. One day he came upon a
spring at Mount Helicon where he glanced down and saw his reflection. He fell in love with himself and stared at himself
endlessly. He did not eat or drink or leave the spring he just admired his mirror image and at the spring he withered away and
died. He was then transformed into a beautiful flower by the waters edge, the narcissus that bows its head to see its reflection.

About Unchi-Ahchi: Presiding dutifully over the family stove is theis Japanese goddess, whose name means
"grandmother hearth." From this position in the home she joins today's festivities to warm the tea and to meditate
on our beliefs with the other gods and goddesses. Afterward, she returns to our homes and lives with important
insights about the meaning of sacred ritual.
To Do Today: In Japan, today is a time to go to Kyoto temple and watch or participate in the ancient tea ceremony.
In this culture, each movement and ingredient in the tea ceremony represents a spiritual principle or truth - all mingled
into a simple, satisfying cup. This is a lovely tradition, so share a cup of tea with a friend or family member today. Invoke
Unchi-ahchi simply by lighting the stove. Use the stove to ignite a candle, and take the candle to where you're sitting to
carry the goddess's energy to that spot. Discuss spiritual ideas, allowing this goddess to give you new insights. To increase
the significance of your tea ceremony, choose the tea's flavor according to the topic of conversation or something needed
in that relationship. If discussing divination or alternative health, for example, use orange or mint, respectively. To deepen
love or friendship, use lemon.

As the holidays approach, childhood becomes important to us all. For those with children, the holidays are a
time to lavish attention (and, let us not forget, presents!) on them. For those whose children are grown, there
is an opportunity to see them again, perhaps with grandchildren.
And for those without children, as for us all, this is a season when we become more conscious of our own childhood
memories. Holidays are seasons when family and community becomes more vividly important. And those who have
suffered disappointments or tragedies are more vulnerable than ever to sadness over what has occurred, and longing
for what did not.
The holidays can be a time we pull inside, nurturing (or sometimes avoiding) only our immediate families. But around
us are many who face this season with dread and discomfort. Extending the arms of community to include everyone
should be a part of each happy family's holiday plan.
