Notes:
As we know the goal is to live our lives magically in the moment every day in the now and while it would be nice to go and buy all the cool witchy stuff that is out there...their is so much in every day objects that we can use around the home.
So here is what I suggest...Post up an every day object once a week and let the creative juices flow and post up what we would or could possibly use it for magically.
I thought it would be kinda cool and inspiring...whatcha think..

wrote this some years ago when I could not sleep because of the images of coffins coming off the tarmac. Always woundered if a comrade at arms would be next. 
I just received a draft from a group that recorded a song based on my poem. It will be sold and funds going to military families as far as I can remember.
For those that pay the ultimate price.

I heard the Valkyries cry last night.

Some soldiers are going home.

They head towards the Halls of Gods

Their bodies lay in stone.

 

I heard the Valkyries song last night.

They’re singing for the brave.

They tried to rid the world of hate

The world they cannot save.

 

I saw the Valkyries fly last night.

They’re heading for foreign fields.

They will pick up the soldiers brave

Those souls that would not yield.

 

All Father I ask please make some room.

Please save a seat for them.

For Duty and Honour showed so well.

These brave Woman and Men.

 

All Hail Brothers and Sisters. Grab a seat
and rest now in Valhalla.

A Chance to Contribute
Disarming the Know-It-All
A person that is a know-it-all is usually afraid of listening because it has become completely unfamiliar to listen.

Most of us have encountered a person in our lives who can accurately be referred to as a know-it-all. This person seems to know everything about anything that gets brought up and tends to dominate the conversation. They don’t take well to being questioned, and they have a hard time ever admitting that they were wrong.

Being around a know-it-all is inevitably tiring because there is no shared energy between the two of you. Rather, you become an audience member to this person’s need to be the center of attention. Attention and respect are probably the two things this person most longs for, and at some point in their lives, they learned that knowing it all was the way to get those needs met. Over time, they have become stuck in this pattern, regardless of the fact that it is no longer working. They may feel afraid of the experience of listening, being receptive, or learning something new, because it’s so unfamiliar.

On the one hand, when we see the childlike need underneath the know-it-all’s mask of confidence, we feel compassion for the person, and we may tolerate their one-sided approach to conversation out of a desire not to hurt their feelings. On the other hand, we may be feeling drained and tempted to avoid this person altogether. In the middle of these two possible ways of feeling, we may actually like this person and wish for a closer relationship. If we come from a place of kindness, we might attempt to bridge the gap that this person’s habitual way of relating creates. Simply expressing a desire to be closer may open their heart, and give you a chance to ask for what you need in the relationshipâ€"a chance to contribute.

“Use 60 minutes of darkness to help the world see the light,” urges Ban Ki-moon

UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon leads a
host of world and civic leaders supporting Earth Hour 2011 as a powerful symbol of a shared wish for a sustainable and secure future.
“All over the world individuals, communities, businesses and
governments are creating new examples for our common future â€" new
visions for sustainable living and new technologies to realize it,” said UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon. “Let us join together to celebrate
this shared quest to protect the planet and ensure human well-being. 
Let us use 60 minutes of darkness to help the world see the light.”

Messages of support for Earth Hour 2011 have also come from a host of world and civil leaders, including Archbishop Emeritus Desmond Tutu, UK Prime Minister David Cameron, Australian Prime Minister Julia Gillard
and Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos.

“Climate change is the greatest human induced crisis facing our world today. It is totally indiscriminate of race, culture, class,
nationality or religious belief. It affects every living organism on the planet â€" including all of us,” Archbishop Emeritus Tutu said.
“Through the symbolic act of switching off our lights for one hour on Saturday 26 March from 8.30 â€" 9.30pm we will collectively send our
clarion call for change around the globe. ‘Please, political leaders and captains of industry, we implore you. Take action against climate
change NOW.’”
Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos invited Colombians to turn off the lights for one hour on Saturday March 26 at 8:30pm, and to take
action for the environment every day, every hour.  “We cannot put off
any longer saving the planet nor cut back on our efforts to ensure its
sustainability,” President Santos said.

“These 60 minutes without lights, between 8:30 and 9:30 at night,
will be a symbolic act but also a reminder that every day, every hour in our normal lives we can turn off the lights we don’t need, disconnect
those appliances when we’re not using them, save water and think on how
to save the planet.

“It will be an hour without lights, but with stars, a lot of stars. One hour for our planet, the first of many.”

UK Prime Minister David Cameron has pledged to make the coalition
Britain's "greenest-ever government" in the fight against climate
change.

Australian Prime Minister, Julia Gillard has lent her voice to Earth
Hour by vowing that she and her government will go beyond the hour by,
“doing everything in my power to deliver a carbon price”.
“The simple and powerful idea of switching off lights for an hour to
drive action on climate change began in Sydney and has been embraced
around the world,” Gillard said. “Earth Hour has become a special symbol of determination of so many people to make a difference.”
