This is an all volunteer project that provides shopping opportunities without charge for persons in need with the proper reference. The Price Is Right Shoppe provides work experience for persons with mental illness and developmental disabilities, in a safe and a nurturing environment, where they can also improve their self-image and socialization skills. The Price Is Right Shoppe has limited financial funds, so they can always use help,
through monetary support, volunteer time or item donations. We are asking
festival goers to bring donations with them of bed & bath linens, socks & undergarments (all sizes - male & female), women's shoes sizes 10 & up, men's clothing 2X & up. Child & Infant clothing in all sizes, socks and winter underwear as well as toys, games and books will all help immensely.

About Vac: The Balinese/Hindu goddess of charms and incantations, Vac joins in today's celebrations using her powers to banish any lingering shadows or negativity from our lives. Traditionally, Vac is present in any sacred words that convey occult power or knowledge. This is especially true of mantras that reaffirm, sustain, and shelter one's soul.
Artistic renderings reveal Vac as a mature, graceful woman bedecked in gold (an allusion to solar energy). She sometimes also appears as a cow, which is her Mother-Goddess aspect.
To Do Today: Bali legends say that hellish beings roam freely during this time of year, so everyone cleanses themselves and the land through magic and supplications. In this spirit, periodic spiritual "housecleaning" is a good habit to get into, especially if you live in the city. Leave an offering of flowers on your altar, saying Vac's name as you put them out. This begins the process of purging any clinging bad vibes and restoring yoru home's sanctity.
Use noise makers to chase out any malintended magic or spirits. Burn sweet-smilling incense to welcome Vac to your home, saying,
Vac, charge my speech with security so no darkness can dwell in my home or me. Vac, be welcome in and through my words. Let the magic e'er be heard!

Prepare for psychic dreams tonight! Make a dream pillow by mixing some or all
of the following herbs to make a cupful: (the first two are required)
mugwort, lavender, rose petals, catnip, chamomile, jasmine, orange
blossoms, and buckwheat hulls. Sew them up in a small rectangle of
Moon-and-star printed cloth. Stuff the dream pillow into your pillowcase with your usual pillow. Before sleep, tell yourself that you will
remember your dreams. Place a small notebook and pen by the bed so you

Use
this day to make your own gris-gris bag. In the New Orleans practice of
Voudoun, the gris-gris bag is used for not only protection, but also to
gain wealth and health. We see parallels to the gris-gris in many more
mainstream home remedies, such as pouches with cotton balls dipped in
camphor, mint, and ammonia that are worn around the neck until sickness
goes away. To create your own gris-gris bag gather the following: a
small square of red flannel, a black string, cayenne pepper, cotton
balls dipped in oils of mint and eucalyptus, loose herbs, shells, a crow feather (if you can find one), crystals, and elements you consider
sacred. Your items should be odd-numberedâ€"that is, you must use five,
seven, nine, or thirteen items in your bag. Place them all on the red
flannel. Tie up the cloth into a bag. Wear your gris-gris around your

The Goddess draped herself in clouds and flew
across her many islands to the great mountain
where the muses lived, renowned Parnassus,
and spoke to them directly: "I have heard," she said
"that water rises here, a new spring kicked to life
by that strange offspring of Medusa, the horse
with wings and lightning hooves." Urania nodded.
"We rejoice you found a reason for this visit," she said,
"for you are ever present with us, in our hearts."
And then she took the goddess to a dark wood
filled with caverns and dappled with meadows
where spring blossoms flourished. And the goddess
stayed awhile there, happy in the company
of memory's sweet daughters, marveling
at sweet water rising from the hard rock like
inspiration that comes after a long drought, like
the heart that loves again after a brutal loss.

The Roman poet Ovid's masterpiece, Metamorphoses, is a series of tales about the magical transformation of one being into another. Dying lovers are transformed into flowers, maidens into birds, and - in this passage - a hard rock into a bubbling spring. Minerva, the warrior goddess who also rules craftsmanship, visits the goddesses of the arts, the Muses. These nine maidens live on Mount Parnassus, which even to this day is a symbol of the heights of artistic achievement. There she sees the miraculous spring called Castalia, the source of all genius, which the great winged horse Pegasus opened in the rock with one strike of his flinty hooves.
And is this not the miracle we each perform every time we create something new and original for the Goddess' pleasure -
and our own?

The Laboratory of Life
Take Action
Having a vision of what we want in life is important to our efforts of getting what we want, but we also must take action.
There is a popular misconception that we might be able to just wish our dreams into being. Maybe on some other level of consciousness this is the case, but here on earth what we need to do is take action in our lives. Vision is an important companion to our efforts, but it can’t accomplish anything all by itself. When we focus on what we want and ask for what we want, we are initiating a conversation with the universe. Our desires, passionately defined and expressed, bring about valuable and relevant opportunities, which we then respond to by either taking or leaving them.
Many of us are afraid to step out into the world and make things happen, and so we hang back, dreaming and waiting and watching. There are times in life when this is the right thing to do, but this phase of inaction must eventually give way to its opposite if we are to build our dreams into a reality. This can be really scary, and we may fail and struggle, but that’s okay because that’s what we’re supposed to do. Waiting for everything to be perfect before we act, or waiting for what we want to be handed to us, leaves us waiting forever. No one expects us to be perfect, so the best thing we can do for ourselves is to get out there and take action on our dreams.
One of the hardest parts about having a vision is that when we test it in the laboratory of life, it often comes out looking completely different than what we had in mind or, worse, it doesn’t come out at all. If you read the life stories of people who have brought their dreams into reality, you will hear many stories about this experience. But you will also hear about hard work, taking action, perseverance, and, finally, the successful birthing of a dream.

Whistle-blowing witch grounded by TSA www.msnbc.msn.com
Airport security officer Carole Smith was fired from the TSA after a co-worker
accused her of witchcraft and putting a hex on her car. Her termination
also came after she complained about lax security. Investigative
reporter Bill Dedman of msnbc.com has the story.

The Akashic records are like the DNA of the universe. They are the soul's journey over time, so every thought, word, and deed is registered in the Akashic records. Each soul/entity has its own Akashic record, and there are collective records of all souls or all journeys.
By opening the Akashic Records with a Sacred Prayer, we align ourselves to the vibration of the one receiving the consultation (either ourselves or another). Greetings Fellow Lightworkers,
I hope this email finds you all well! I just learned of a new Shamanic retreat that I felt to share with everyone :)
For those of you who are interested in learning more about Shamanism, one of my Shaman mentors and friends, Adam Kane and his partner Al Romao, are hosting a Shamanic Retreat, "Shamanism and the Medicine of the Americas". The program is primarily geared for those new to Shamanism, though I'm sure there will be new information for seasoned shamanic practitioners as well. The residential retreat will be held July 8th - 10th in Lanoka Harbor, NJ. I have attached their flyer for reference.
