I had to dismantle it but I still have all the statues. I have a Yemaya and Oshun altar and an Elegua altar near my front door. I have many altars like my Kali altar and my huge Hindu altar and huge Egyptian altar. I have many many statues and little altars here and there. I live in Florida. I was born and raised in Queens NY as I see you said NYC. I don't mind showing picture of permanent and temporary altars.

Some say the Orishas are not gods, some say they are minor deitoes compared to Oladumare, others say andbelive they are deities. Oladumare is the supreme Divine being in Santaria and that the Orisas have some of this beings power. In Brazil Yemanja gave birth to most of the Orishas. She is the lady of marriage and she loves children. In Africa her colors are red & white but in the Afro-Carribean her colors are blue and white. She is the lady of salt water. She has 7 aspects some aree calm and other aspects as Yemaya Okte she is a blood thirsty warrior woman who fights along side the war Orisha Oggun and she carries his implements and she is a powerful Witch who handles serpents. sHer waves crases violently off the coasts. Yemaya rules all the concerns of women. Her # is 7. Her name translates Mother of the Fish. In some aspects she is seen as a vey fat woman, a mermaid, and a slender young woman. Yemayas metal is silver and led. She deals with the moon, pregnancy, life, money (the wealth of the sea) sailors, true love, magic, her enemy is Oya the orishas of the storms, change, lightning, the grave yards and the egun. 
YEMAYA represents the Mother and motherhood.

There are hot Orishas and cool Orishas Yemaya is one of the cool Orishas.

Good Morning,

And Happy Ostra, I do hope you all are having a lovely day, It's actually a really lovely day here in Maryland; L and I got out last night for a Evening Cuppa, and Pizza, and got a good look at the moon Over the Parkway on our way home; it was beautifal, and Quite noticibly bigger than usual even after it climbed a good ways into the sky; we actually caught it quite close to the horizon as we were stepping in for Dinner; and it was just HUGE looking at it over the shops on Patrick Street.

If you missed her last night she should still be very near full tonight, so step out, take a walk with the Lady, and have a long look; or you can wait 20 yrs for the next time full moon coincides with Perigee ; ) Blessings, BB.

Happy Ostara. The moon was beautiful here in sunny south Florida.  FT. Lauderdale CUUPs had their celebration ritual and feast which was great.

I'M a 41 year old pagan,that incorporates the many paths, to develop my own way, I've read about the history, to gain more knowledge,and sometimes I'm on target. I know first step is to Believe, and i do. I woke up from a long slumber of resisting,and yes i do have fear, but I'm determined to walk past it to gain what i need to become one of the magicians of our time. This is above the first picture I sent. The statue on the wall (the witch) is Dhumavati. Picture include Kali, Dhumavati, Tara, Krishna, Ganesha, Durga, Shiva, Lakshmi, Vishnu

The altar above this is a small part of my universal altar with many deities such as Thor, Hekate, Oya, Odin etc
It's as though I live in a temple Yi guess I do, haha)
