your words simply speak volumes. and espically after watching the vid you posted. we all Need to sit and wonder at times, how truly fortunate we are, but we have absolutely nothing to do with that fortune.

I've had to think about this a lot lately. I don't know if it's angels or spirits or ancestors, but I've definitely been protected from a lot in my life. But lately I've had to ask myself why. Sometimes something happens that makes a person take a giant step back a reexamine everything. This is what has been going on with me.
Recently, a family member's sister was in a head on collision with a tractor trailer after pulling out of a very dangerous intersection. Presently she is in critical condition, in a coma and has multiple fractures. Her mini van was so badly mangled that it's a wonder anyone made it out of there alive. Yet her four-year-old son came out of it without a scratch.
Her name is Annie and she has a sweet and vivacious personality. About a year ago her husband lost his battle with cancer and died at a young age. It was so heart breaking to see Annie after that--she was so sad. It left her two young children without a father.
When I look back at my life and recount the times when my life was spared in some way, I usually feel grateful and blessed. In light of this recent tragedy, all I feel now is confused. I don't understand why I've been saved from so much. I'm definitely not more deserving than anyone else. When I think about Annie, I actually think that between the two of us, her life has more value than mine. Her children are young and if she passes they will be left without any parents at all. My children are grown and don't have as much need as young ones. Annie was active and very much apart of life. My life has become more stagnant as I get older.
So, I believe that some of us are indeed watched over and protected-- but it has created more questions than answers for me. Here I sit writing this to you safe and protected while Annie lies in a hospital bed broken up and in a coma. There are some things in this life that I have no hope of ever understanding.

I like to watch educational shows, science channel, natgeo, discovery.  I try to keep up on the news and be aware of what's happening in the world.  I also love comedy, but not sitcoms.  I can always tell when I'm getting a little depressed because I watch more TV than normal (which is usually just a little with bf in the evenings, and kids on the weekends...)

happening in the world.  I also love comedy, but not sitcoms.  I can always tell
when I'm getting a little depressed because I watch more TV than normal (which
is usually just a little with bf in the evenings, and kids on the weekends...)

My Mom was Mary Elizabeth and I'm Elizabeth Ann, my neice is Margaret Elizabeth and her daughter is Elizabeth ? It goes back for generations.

Ask the Japenese to ask themselves a questions of what they ask for and closing others into the whole world. No man/women can help if you do not think of others.

More fallout Concerning the Tragedies in Japan:

Gilbert Gottfried isn't getting the last laugh this time.

The comedian and actor, 56, who acted as the voice of the duck
in Aflac insurance commercials, was fired on Monday after he
Tweeted a series of jokes about the earthquake and tsunami in
Japan.

"Gilbert's recent comments about the crisis in Japan were
lacking in humor and certainly do not represent the thoughts
and feelings of anyone at Aflac," says Senior Vice President
and Chief Marketing Officer Michael Zuna.

"Aflac Japan, and by extension, Japan itself, is part of the
Aflac family," he adds, "and there is no place for anything but
compassion and concern during these difficult times."

The Tweets, which have been taken down, included this one: "I
just split up with my girlfriend, but like the Japanese say,
'They'll be another one floating by any minute now.'"

Gilbert has been the voice of the Aflac duck for a little more
than a decade. A rep for the actor has yet to comment

ooohh i take it back. i wasn't sure it was possible to be more of an idiot until i read this one...and it is not even about trying to be sarcastic or joking in private...how can anyone be so brainless as to make such a comment in any capacity, much less in such a public one???
i am seriously trying not to think of these two spinning over an open fire on a spit...
my prayers and blessings are with them
they seem to need it as much if not more than the poor
Tsunami victims.

Back before that backstabbing Brutus created Great Caesar's ghost, the Ides of March was actually a Roman holiday celebrating the Roman deity Mars. Revered and roundly recognized as the Roman 'God of War' and celebrated for his feats of fertility, Mars was actually both the inspiration and the impetus behind the naming of the month of March. If someone you know is struggling with infertility issues, they can soon bring a baby home as a result of using a bit of Mars' planetary push by becoming a body balancing warrior. Some say that bringing balance to the body is critical to the all-important female endocrine system. Feng Shui says that sleeping on green sheets will do that quickly. A wooden elephant strategically placed at the base of the bedroom door and facing so that it appears to be walking into the room promises male children, especially when a stone or small rock is placed on its back. Petting the head of the elephant each time you walk by is also believed to activate baby energies. Putting a stuffed tiger or any other baby toy or clothing in the Children/Creativity area of the main floor of the baby's intended bedroom, or even in your own room, is also believed to activate energies accorded to a blessed birth. Like the warrior Mars, secret Shui comes fully loaded to aggressively address the infertility issue. One of these more esoteric tips tells us to take two wooden chopsticks and tie them together with 18 inches of red ribbon, yarn or string so they form the shape of a cross. These sticks are then placed anywhere inside the Children area of the parent's room, or inside the baby's sleeping space. The smaller tip of the sticks should be placed so they are facing out. It might seem hard to conceive of this cure actually working but I used this chopstick adjustment when trying to get pregnant and it helped bring me a boy who feeds my very soul. This is Fertility Feng Shui at its finest!
