The Wolf Moon, also known as the Cold, Snow, or Winter Moon, is a time
of protection and strength. While it is the first full Moon of the
year, in terms of nature it occurs in the middle of the cold winter
season, a season of death and desolation when the trees and the land
is bare. In these respects, the Wolf Moon can be seen as a time of
both beginnings and endings. It's time to start thinking of what you
want to plant and plan for the spring.
Now is the time to get all your planning done.. and ready everything
you will need to put your furure plans in action.
Don't forget to step outside and soak up a bit of that full moon magic
tonight. Also now is a great time to cleanse and charge your crystals
with that full moon energy.. place them outside or in your windows so
that they can capture that moon magic.

Festival of Janus (Roman) - On this day, Romans honored Janus, the two-faced god of the year, at his citadel on the Janiculum Hill. Its double gate was closed when the land was at peace but remained open in times of war. He was supposedly an old king of Latium whose worship was introduced by Romulus. Farias says that he along with his female counterpart Jana (aka Dianus and Diana) were probably the highest (sun and moon) gods of the pre-Italian peoples, until replaced by Jupiter and Juno. Janus opens the gates of heaven at dawn and closes them at dusk. Like Elegba in the Voodun tradition, he was invoked before any other deity. He is the god of all doors, gates and entrances. Sometimes pictured as a porter or doorkeeper with a staff in one hand and a key in the other, sometimes pictured with an XXX (300) in one hand and LXV (65) in the other. At the time of Hadrian, his image was four-faced. And his temple had four sides with three windows each, four
sides for the seasons and 12 windows for the months.Although sanction and luck came from Jupiter, every action, occupation and undertaking depended for its beginning on Janus. As Consivius he presided over the beginning of human life, a role in which he was connected with Juno, with whom he was worshipped at the Calends. Janus was offered grains of farro (a primitive kind of wheat) mixed with salt and iannual, a focaccia made with cheese, flour, eggs and oil, for his help in providing good harvests. The ancient Romans ate enormous focaccia, great disks of bread as round as the sun, on this day in his honor.

Each day has its own challenges as well as its own potential treasures. As we rise to meet those challenges, to gather those treasures, we need to call upon the varying strengths

The power of Goddesses is within us,
waiting for us to call upon it. Daily invocations to the Goddess have
been part of many traditions. Invoking the feminine force in the
universe, we call forth as well the inner feminine, the strength and
power within us that corresponds to universal energy.
Even when we forget to invoke the
Goddess, she remains a force in both the outer and inner world. She
exists in our hearts as well as in the heart of nature. We drink from
the source of her power. Her energy flows through our bodies, through

This Full Moon Circle Starts at 7:30 pm.
Unitarian Society, 176 Tices Lane, East Brunswick
(All rituals begin at 7:30 p.m. sharp at the East Brunswick Unitarian Society unless otherwise noted.)
That's right, folks. We're back indoors for the winter months at the Unitarian Society, 176 Tices Lane, East Brunswick. Meet us in the Octagon room for a special full moon ritual to herald the coming cold months. Please bring a snack or beverage to share. Requested donation: $5.
A Hands of Change Full Moon Circle is a public meeting for those who are looking to respectfully worship the Goddess and God in a comfortable friendly setting. It is also the best way to meet us or to see what were all about. Any one of our members would be happy to meet you and answer any questions. You can tell us by the gold cords we wear.
Our Full Moon circles are open to all respectful seekers. They are "teaching circles," where we explain the magic we are creating. We are an eclectic group, drawing strength from several traditions and disciplines. Much of our power comes from our acceptance of diversity and our commitment to inclusion. Our open circles generally draw 25-30 people. We recommend that if this is the first time attending you do so with an open mind and in comfortable clothing.
Donation Jar, Comment Cauldron, & Sign-up Sheets
We ask all who attend to leave a $5 donation - more if you can, less if you can't. Rent is very expensive and rituals require a lot of supplies that need to be purchased every time.
Please leave your suggestions and comments in the comment cauldron!
We ask everyone to sign in the first 3 times they attend our Full Moon Circles. This allows us to keep you updated on future circles, and helps us to keep track of those who are eligible for invitations to our Sabbat rituals.

If you'd like to get more involved, please sign up on our service sheets to help at upcoming rituals. Roles available range from space prep to kitchen witch so lend us your talents and help us continue our 14 year tradition of serving the community.

First off how do you feel about Love spells and should they be used, if they are used how should they be used and why?
How do you feel about Love spells in General and if there is any good
