Hi and Welcome to all our newest members, our group gives off a lot
of emails and if you feel your inbox has become over welmed with mail from us, we suggest using Daily Digest and read off the group, that way you will recieve 2-3 emails a day instead of 100 LOL (smiles)

Also anyone who has online stores or links to thier personal stores, we have in our link section a folder called "Witches Mall" you are more then welcome to add your stores in there so we can shop off our group!

Files, links, photos, calendar is open to everyone, feel free to use and add new info if you like, photo albums, everything is open to everyone here.

On our Database, for all you Myspace people, there is a table in there to add your link to your sites also and a table for specialties for anyone that is interested in adding thier info in there to help in emergencies like: Venders, food, supplies, anything for event's. That's a big help if anyone is interested in leaving thier info in there.

Hope everyone enjoys the group and anything you need or need help with email any of us Mods and we'll deff. help you!

Moving on....Don't let it end...Here are my New Jersey Pagan Links!

With Face book on the up rise yahoo groups are quieting down, I have made some groups on facebook with our friends on it, here are the links for those that are on or interested in keeping chat going...

We have been together for such a long time lets keep it going.

First off.....Use us...Don't Forget what NJP & our Sisters Groups are Really About

New Jersey Pagan Yahoo group has all the info on there, Stores, Dates, advertisements, 1500 NJ Members to chat with (About 5000 total with all members on each service), Database and files full of info, active calender to share reminders and more!

I am not closing the groups down but if you need anything that is where I have it all, I can not chase everyone all over Face book, if you want your stuff to be sent out I need it posted on New Jersey Pagans or Which Witch is Witch Yahoo groups!!

Some do have my emails that send me info but the Yahoo group is my base group and if you want to continue things moving in NJ and our neighboring states...I suggest keeping that group active by stopping in and sharing with us!

I'm not going to continue if it's a dead group, I've support everyone for years so would appreciate support back by keeping this group moving so we can share what's going on around us and stay together as a community, I'm asking that I am not the only one trying!! Cher

NJP Face book Page and group, the NJP Yahoo groups and the My space page is for everyone's use, please use it to post your meet ups, stores, share info, events, links, photos, learning materials, ect ect...That's what the groups are for, I made it for all our use so don't hesitate, also if your new to the belief use NJP groups to ask questions, we have a lot of experienced people here and they love to share their experiences. Also the Which Witch is Witch and Lifes a Witch groups are for outside of NJ for those that want to share events, meets, ect like listed above.

We encourage you to USE US! We will help get the word out!

Stone Soup Opening up and Sharing Emotions

Today lets make our Brew together, remember that story of stone soup?

Lets beging with adding things to our pot, this is a sort of meditation and does take imagination and visualization, you have to live and feel the part of our brew as we share together.

What I'm going to suggest is that simply you say one thing that is bothering you or making you feel down about yourself or life, visualize yourself standing in front of the couldron, feel the heat and see the brightness of the fire glow around the pot and against your body, simply then think of something that would help you or make you feel better and can even be something nice towards someone/or memory to make you feel better then we toss that into the pot as an ingredient. After you toss your Positive good thoughts you will then take a large paddle and stir the brew and as you turn it 3 times you will say your new positive intention and then we move on to the next person until all our good intents are then made into this large good soup together where we heal and share our feelings and friendships.

Ok lets begine, I close my eyes and visualize a huge black cauldron over an amazingly large fire, flames appear soft and wrap it's arms around that pot as it begins to bubble and steam rises as if arms and little hands hold that pot tight for us to add all our good intensions and good ol positive energy full of healing, happiness, friendship and love!

So I walk up to this amazing Pot and I'm going to share:

Greetings Friends,
The idea originated by a group of people on Facebook. If you're in
alignment with this, spread this far and wide.

On Thursday March 3, at anytime during that 24 hours, we're engaging in
mirror magic to thwart the Republican (GOP) party and Fox News. We're
tired of the Republican war on women, the middle class and poor, planned
parenthood, and now the unions who helped build the middle class. We're
tired of Fox News distorting truth for the benefit of Corporations and
the GOP. Many of you probably saw independent studies that came out
from universities showing how viewers of Fox are some of the most
mis-informed viewers in the United States. They are hiding behind the
Constitution to lie to Americans to pad their pocketbooks. They
constantly try to divide Americans based on racism, sexism, immigrant
bashing, religious intolerance, etc. Why? Because if everyone wakes up
to the real enemies - the corporations who are the masters of the GOP,
then they'll have quite a problem on their hands if the people unite
against a common enemy and demand justice and fairness. Many are coming
to believe the latest budget cuts economists say will cost hundreds of
thousands of jobs, that the GOP has publicly said they don't care about,
is actually an intention to sabotage the country's economy, then blame
Obama, so they can win the 2012 presidency.

So, get out your mirror. Have some image that represents the Republican
party and Fox News. Use their logos if you like. Google the logos of
Fox News and the GOP and print them out. Place your mirror on your
altar or kitchen table or where ever you plan to work this intention.
Your focus is whatever bad intentions for Americans spews forth from
FOX or the GOP, it is reflected back at them. That their deeds and
lies are exposed and come back to haunt them. That people wake up to
their misdeeds destroying average Americans so the rich can get richer.
Basically, they are bringing this on themselves. What they put out in
the world will be reflected back on them. Cook up the intention
whatever way you want, but this is the central focus. They get back
what they've been spewing. The damage they've been doing comes back as
damage to their cause. So make your logos face the mirror, effectively
reflecting their image and deeds back at them. Muster up all your pent
up anger and passion and put it into this intention. Then release it
into the Universe so it can do it's work. And leave the mirror and
logos/pictures/images there if you can - giving it more energy everyday.

We have to use the collective power of our intentions. We certainly
don't have the money Republicans have to buy off our politicians and
make laws and tax codes that continue to benefit the rich. No one on
the Right is calling for shared sacrifice. The War Budget isn't being
tapped for money. The rich aren't getting tapped to pay taxes even at
the Clinton Administration rates - instead they're getting tax cuts.
Their rich accountants find ways they dodge taxes. So where do they
want to get the money -- on the poor and middle class who have been
reamed by Wall Street.

Wake up America -- fight against this economic terrorism.

And if this is not your political leaning - if you like what the
Republicans are doing the country - don't write me. Just hit the delete
button.

A Bridge To Acceptance
Dealing With Disappointment
Disappointment provides us a bridge from expectations to acceptance of reality, wisdom, and the energy to begin again.

Whenever we do something in life with an expectation of how we'd like it to turn out, we risk experiencing disappointment. When things don't go the way we had envisioned, we may feel a range of emotions from slightly let down to depressed or even angry. We might direct our feelings inward toward ourselves, or outward toward other people or the universe in general. Whether we feel disappointed by ourselves, a friend, or life in general, disappointment is always a tough feeling to experience. Still, it is a natural part of life, and there are many ways of dealing with it when we find ourselves in its presence.

As with any feeling, disappointment has come to us for a reason, and we don't need to fear acknowledging it or feeling it. The more we are able to accept how we are feeling and process it, the sooner we will move into new emotional territory. As we sit down to allow ourselves to feel our disappointment, we might want to write about the experience of being disappointed—the situation that preceded it, what we were hoping would happen, and what did happen. The gift of disappointment is its ability to bring us into alignment with reality so that we don't get stuck for too long in the realm of how things might have been.

As we consider other disappointments in our life and how we have moved past them, we may even see that in some cases what happened was actually better in the long run than what we had wanted to happen. Disappointment often leaves us feeling deflated with its message that things don't always turn out the way we want. The beauty of disappointment, though, is that it provides us a bridge to its other side where the acceptance of reality, wisdom, and the energy to begin again can be found.

GEOMAGNETIC STORM: A solar wind stream hit Earth's magnetic field during the early hours of March 1st. The impact sparked a polar geomagnetic storm that was, at first, minor, but the storm has been intensifying throughout the day. If the trend continues, high-latitude sky watchers will likely witness bright auroras after nightfall on March 1-2. Northern-tier US states such as Maine, Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Washington could be favored with photographic and/or visual displays. Check http://spaceweather.com for updates.

Hime-no-Miya - On the first two Sundays in March, the Japanese celebrate the Izanami, The Mother Goddess of Japan. Her temple at the Oagata-jinja shrine near Inuyama in central Honshu features large cleft rocks, huge clamshells and other sacred items that resemble female genitalia. At her festival, worshippers carry these items through the streets in procession.

St Chad - Born in Northumbria, Chad became an abbot in Yorkshire, founded a monastery in Lincolnshire, and a bishop of the Mercians at Lichfield. His name is associated with wells and springs that heal. He is also noted for his love of walking. St Theodore of Canterbury insisted he ride a horse because walking was beneath him.

He is often associated with St David in agricultural rhymes:

About Semele: In Greek mythology, Semele is a young earth goddess who, in mortal form, gave birth to the ever-exuberant party animal Dionysus (the god of wine). Today Semele flows into our lives bringing spring's zeal, joy, and playfulness carefully balanced with the exhortation to keep one foot firmly on terra firma. Semele's name translates as "land;' giving her additional associations with fertility and grounding.

Semele became a Goddess after insisting on seeing Zeus (Dionysus' father) in his full glory. This killed Semele, but Zeus rescued her from Hades and made her a goddess.

To Do Today: A three-day celebration began in Athens around this time to celebrate spring. The first day of the observance was called the "opening of the casks"! So, if you have a favorite wine, today is definitely the time to take it out and enjoy it with some friends. Toast to Semele for giving the world a wine god who lives in every drop poured!

To "grow" any of Semele's virtues within yourself, find a small planter, some rich soil, and a flowering seed. Name the seed after that characteristic, and water it with a bit of wine or grape juice. If you use diligent care and maintain a strong focus on your goal, when the seed blossoms that energy should show signs of manifesting in your life.

.Saffron Crescent Cakes for Ashtoreth

These are traditionally baked in honor of Ashtoreth, but they are appropriate for any
Goddess associated with the Moon. To honor those harvest deities not associated
with the Moon, simply cut into round or other shapes, and bake as directed. Saffron
expensive, so you may prefer to substitute yellow food coloring, an additional
1/4 cup honey, or 1/3 cup chopped nuts instead.

Ingredients
1 egg
3/4 cup milk
1/4 honey
2 cups all purpose flour
3 T.. baking powder
1/3 cup vegetable oil
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4-1/2 tsp. saffron

Mix egg, milk, oil, and honey in a large bowl. Add remaining ingredients and stir
until just mixed. Cut into wedges and roll up, starting at the rounded edge.
Place on greased cookie sheet with points down and shape into crescents.
Bake for 20 minutes at 400F.

Gender Balance Ritual

March is Gender Equality Month. Throughout history, the war between the sexes has created a lot of casualties. Although some of the worst inequities
have been addressed, domestic violence and sexual assault still haunt
our society. Women often bump into a "glass ceiling" at work. Men often
have trouble keeping custody of their children in a divorce. We all pay
the price. In Paganism, we explicitly acknowledge the duality of nature
and honor the balance between the divine feminine and the divine
masculine. It's our responsibility to manifest that ideal in our own
lives. Here is a prayer to help:

Let each of us see
Ourselves in the other,
And the holy in the whole.
Let us honor women's strength
And men's compassion
And children's promise.
Let us build a world where gender
Exists not as a barrier
But as a bridge.

Although Isis was originally an Egyptian Goddess, her worship spread to Rome during imperial times. There she was honored as the Goddess of the sea, Stella Maris, Each year at this time, all the boats that would ply the waters during the summer were blessed in lavish festivals. The Goddess was invoked to keep the sea-farers safe and to bring the goods they sought safely back to port.

We too are sailors, navigating the oceans of our lives, often buffeted by storms and gales. We leave the safe harbour of our homes each day to travel in search of the goods we need to survive. Yet we have no seasonal festivals that bless our voyages. Taking time to ask for the kindness and protection of the Goddess as we move through the day is a small ritual, but one that can sustain us as we travel.
