Urgent Help Wanted

Hi Vera,
Your friend's daughter has done exactly what I would have suggested -- coming completely out of sleep, an altered state of consciousness where she'd be more susceptible to the spirits.
As an outsider to situation, of course the difficulty in diagnosing without fully understanding the background history would be merely jumping to conclusions.
From personal experience, I've found these psychic invasions don't last. The practice of magick would provide a pragmatic method for dealing with psychic anomalies like this, but your friend's daughter probably isn't interested. However as Dr Michael 'shaman' Harner would say, it's more dangerous not to know about such things.

How old is the girl and what is going on around her? Is she on any kind of medication? Has she eaten unusual foods or unusually strong ones (cheeses for example, or fungus)?
If it is a lucid-dreaming experience leading to nightmare I'd reccomend, depending on her age and personality, some structured attempts in this direction along with some basic meditational activities to develop will and focus as well as just awareness.
Just a thought. Hope she gets better soon.
