One Day at a Time
Our lives are made of stepping stones, one experience after another in perfect and divine order.

The years of our life do not arrive all at once; they greet us day by day. With the descent of each setting sun, we are able to rest our heads and let the world take care of itself for a while. We may rest assured throughout the night, knowing that the dawn will bring with it a chance to meet our lives anew, donning fresh perspectives and dream-inspired hopes. The hours that follow, before we return to sleep once more, are for us to decide how we want to live and learn, laugh and grow. Our lives are sweeter and more manageable because we must experience them this way: one day at a time.

Imagine the future stretching out before you and try to notice if you feel any tension or overwhelm at the prospect of the journey still to come. Perhaps you have recently made a lifestyle change, like beginning a new diet or quitting smoking, and the idea of continuing this healthy new behavior for years seems daunting. Maybe you have started a new job or are newly married and can feel an undercurrent of anxiety about your ability to succeed. If you can shift your focus from what may happen years down the line and return it to the day that is before you right now, you may find a measure of calm and renewed confidence in your capabilities. You may also discover an inner faith that the future will take care of itself.

The way we show up for our lives today and tomorrow has an enormous affect on who we will be and what we will be experiencing years from now. For telepathic
communication with a partner who is away from home and not been able to
make contact by telephone, letter, or other modern means, light a white
candle and sit comfortably in your favorite chair. Hold a clear quartz
crystal in your left hand. With your right hand, pick up a photograph of a loved one and gaze deeply into the eyes. Speak your thoughts and
feelings to the picture, and visualize his or her essence in the same
room. Tell him or her what you want or ask questions. The response will
enter your mind. When this communication session is completed, blow out
the candle and wave the photograph through the smoke from north to
south, then west to east. Return the snapshot to where you usually keep
it.

If you are not feeling well or fighting a cold or virus there are a few essential oil
combinations that are useful to use in a bath.
 
Lavender and Tea Tree
Lavender and Eucalyptus
Ravansara and Tea Tree (Some say this is the best)
3 drops of each oil (6 drops total per bath) then go straight to bed. Chances are whatever you were
fighting will never materialize.

Rituals to the Goddess were not always elaborate affairs. Bowing in the direction of the rising sun, thanking the earth for the food she provides, drinking pure water prayerfully - these are as much rituals as the most extensive festival. How often, today, we forget to be aware as we eat, as we drink, as we walk upon her broad body! The buds of spring are opening around us as we rush to and through our endless chores. her energy is in those buds,  as well as powering our own movement through this world.
 
Unconsciousness of the earth impoverishes us. When we are nourished by the beauty of a hyacinth, when we take time to be moved by its heady fragrance, our need to consume earth's resources diminishes. Romanian Water Offering

Themes:  Wishes; Water; Purity; Innocence
Symbol: Water

About Coventina:  This British/Celtic Goddess of sacred water sources flows with the Blajini (water spirits) to enrich our life with clarity and virtue and to answer our heart's desires.  In works of art she is depicted as a water nymph floating on a leaf while holding vessels teaming with water.  Customary offerings to encourage Coventina's favor include pins, votives, coins, and semiprecious stones.

To Do Today:  In this region of the world, water spirits are called Blajini, or "gentle ones", because they kindly reward people who give them an offering (much like wishing wells in Europe).  These are citizens of the Coventina's fairy realm, whose motivations are pure and guileless.  To keep the Blajini happy and encourage Coventina's sanction, present a special offering to them while whispering your hopes and dreams.  Go to any fountain (perhaps one at the mall) and toss in a coin.  The Blajini will bear the coin and the wish to Coventina for manifestation.

For personal clarity or to inspire principled actions in a situation in which you might be tempted to be a proverbial "bad witch", start the day off with a glass of water.  Recite this incantation over it before drinking:

Coventina, keep my magic pure;
within my spirit let goodness endure.

Repeat this phrase throughout the day anytime you have water.

Protection, gambling,
luck, power and employment.
 
This herb wards off
evil when worn around the neck. Gambler's carry for as a good luck charm. Cut
the root into small pieces and place in a jar filled with whiskey and spirits
of camphor.
When you need power of
any kind, rub your hands with a piece of the soaked root. Then use the
root in the appropriate way (i.e. if money is desired, place near money or
wallet.
A piece of root carried
in the pocket while seeking employment (or for having problems at work) will
help you get hired or smooth out difficulties. also carry when asking for a
raise.
