What is Grounding

Mediation and grounding are very important to connect to your psychic energy,
takes time and practice to get the hang of it. Does anyone know any
good mediation techniques and grounding techniques?
One exercise is to sit on a chair, feet planted
to the ground, hands relaxed on the lab, take 3 deep breaths then
regular breaths, visualize energy, roots, growing out of your feet down
to the ground, listen, hear and see the roots as they penetrate deep and into the earth connecting our energies as one, feel and know your are
multiplying and connecting tot he energy of the Earth, be part of that
earth, feel her, breath with her, see yourself then receiving light,
energy from the earth into your roots filling your entire body, bright
white light that flows with every breath you take until your entire body is part of that light.

"Reiki" ("rei" means "spirit, " "divine" and "etheric body, " and "ki" means "breath, " "energy" and "life force") is a Japanese practice that offers techniques for deep relaxation, stress reduction and healing through "palm healing" or "hands-on healing, " where the ki (or healing and balancing energy) is transferred through the palms of the practitioner and into the body and personal energy field of the recipient. Reiki is considered a holistic therapy which helps to bring awareness, balance and healing on physical, mental, emotional and spiritual levels.
Reiki practitioners are "tuned" to the healthy vibrational level of Reiki energy through ceremonies or rituals called "attunements." Once attuned, the practitioner is able to insert healthy energy vibration into the recipient's energy field and physical body. More and more scientists and conventional medical experts and professionals are recommending the inclusion of Reiki treatments within an all-encompassing health promoting regime.
This class will present the Usui mode of Reiki healing, and will offer a Reiki I attunement to all attendees. No prior experience or abilities are necessary; class size is limited to four attendees.
Nancy Fader, "Raushanna, " Reiki Master/Teacher, received her attunements, from her Reiki I attunement in September, 2005 to her Reiki Master/Teacher attunement in August, 2007, and her Reiki Master/Teacher certificate from the Sacred Usui Reiki Training and Attunements Classes associated with The College of the Sacred Mists; she is now a Facilitator and Teacher of those Classes. Nancy is also a certified practitioner of Vedic Thai-Yoga Massage.

Reiki III Master Class Saturday, March 5th
Event Details: By completing this class you will be attuned and certified as a Reiki Master/ Teacher. You must know the material thoroughly before being attuned to Teacher level! In this level you will be given the final three Reiki symbols. You will also learn the Hara line along with crystals to grid with. If you have not taken the first two levels with me, you will be given the material of all three levels and learn it to my satisfaction before attunement. You must have prior Reiki I and II attunements before taking this class! This is a two day class. If you need extra time to absorb the material you may study on your own and come back for the attunement at no extra cost. My goal is to communicate the material successfully so that you will be the best Master/Teacher you can be. It is not about the time. I want my students to learn at a pace that is comfortable for them so I make my schedule flexible to suit their individual needs. This is not an easy
course so be prepared to focus. Payment is due at beginning of class. I accept cash, checks, and paypal.

Ocean Seminary College is proud to confer onto Rev. Karen Tate the
Doctorate of Ministry (h.c.) in honor of her significant contributions
to the field of thealogy and deasophy. Her diverse body of work has
supported the continued presence of the Sacred Feminine within academic
religious discourses, while it has nourished the religious lives of
women (and men). Ensuring that the presence of the Sacred Feminine and
the honoring of women more broadly continues to be fostered, Rev. Tate
has tirelessly utilized a rich array of avenues to communicate these
messages to enormous accomplishment.
She is the author of Sacred Places of Goddess: 108 Destinations and the
acclaimed book, Walking An Ancient Path, Rebirthing Goddess on Planet
Earth, which was a finalist in the National Best Books Awards of 2008 by
USA Book News. She is a contributing author to a wide range of
publications, including The Beltane Papers, The Examiner, Sacred History
Magazine, Mystic Pop and Circle News. In addition to bringing home the
Goddess through her written work, she has brought many men and women
directly to the Goddess through her ministerial work and her sacred
tours. Through her tour work, she resituates the Goddess in our
historical experiences and reminds the modern woman and man that the
Sacred Feminine is part of our heritage and our spiritual inheritance.
Rev. Tate is an active lecturer at both academic institutions and
spiritual organizations and is the host of the radio program, Voices of
the Sacred Feminine. She is presently transitioning into developing
film/television projects to further cultural awareness of the Sacred
Feminine and provide even greater access for men and women seeking the
Goddess.
Over the past twenty years, Rev. Tate has consistently demonstrated the
intellectual, social, ministerial and environmental goals of the
Thealogical Studies Program and it is with great pleasure that we grant
her a doctorate in Thealogical Studies.
