A GODDESS RITUAL FOR CLARITY, GUIDANCE & BALANCE
Posted by: "Cher Chirichello" CHIC0411@YAHOO.COM chic0411

A GODDESS RITUAL FOR CLARITY, GUIDANCE &
BALANCE
You will need:
1 White candle for the Goddess
1 Personal candle for yourself, (I'm
using Orange,
a good Leo color)
1 Purpose Candle (Yellow, Purple, or
White)
1 Black candle for releasing any
negativity, protection
Incense - Sandalwood, Sage or Copal
Oils - Use oils to dress the candles
with that go with your purpose
I am choosing a Blessing Oil for the
goddess candle, but Florida Water,
Holy Oil or a particular goddess oil are
options.
For the Personal Candle, Dragon's Blood
for strengthening and Healing.
For the Purpose Candle, Rosemary
For the Black Candle, Van Van Oil for
protection
Carve into your personal candle, your
name and an Ankh.
For your Purpose Candle, carve the symbol
of the scales of balance/justice.
For the Black Candle, carve "Release
Negativity" into it.
For the Goddess Candle, up to you.
Crystals, if desired - Quartz, Amber, Amethyst, Citrine would be
good, and Moonstone
ito work with the goddess.
Statues for your Altar.
Herbs - Benzoin, Frankincense, Rosemary,
anything that works for clarity, protection,
confidence, mental powers, higher
consciousness.
The Temperance Card from the Tarot
The Star card for 'Spiritual Forces
Surround You'
The High Priestess card for Inner Wisdom
Strength card for the Courage to Change
Cast Circle
Carve and Dress your candles, and
roll them in the herbs. Put the crystals
around and put the tarot cards on the
altar. After you light the candles say the spell
three times, chanting the goddess
names. When you are through saying the spell,
open the Circle, then open your
door, visualizing what you have requested coming into
being and manifesting. Then say
loudly (or yell), "So Mote It Be!"
SPELL
FOR CLARITY, GUIDANCE AND BALANCE
God and Goddess of Balance
Gods and Goddesses of Light,
Grant me clarity and protection
In my workings on this night.
Guide me to stable footsteps
Not in extravagance or pride;
Able to handle everyday affairs
Without anxiety and trembling inside.
Help me to help myself and others
Enlighten me as to timing of things;
Teach me how to live in your Light
In joy, and with a heart that sings.

Selene, Hera, Aphrodite
Tara, Cerridwen, Inanna

Fun Indoors Spell

Fun Indoors Spell
Forget about braving the chilly, wet, spring weather. Strengthen your family ties by doing something fun together indoors. One great project is scrap booking. If you already have a scrapbook, work on new pages. If not, now is a perfect time to start one. You can also make individual pages and send them to relatives as gifts. Craft stores carry lots of gorgeous paper, photo-safe adhesives, decorations, and other supplies for scrap booking. Look closely and you'll find Pagan-friendly images like woodland scenes, magic wands, even five-pointed stars. Make copies of two or three favorite photographs. Fasten them to background paper that matches the theme, like tulip paper for spring outings. Then write your memories of the pictured event on a piece of contrasting paper and attach it to the photos. Embellish with stickers or drawings, and you're done.

Spring Tonic

Spring Tonic
Traditionally, tonics were made and ingested in the spring. Here are some suggestions for spring tonics that will revitalize the liver's ability to cleanse the body of toxins. First, buy a glass candle with a picture of Yemaya on it. Light it on a Sunday. Brew a cup of vervain tea, sweeten with honey, and sip while sitting before the candle. Vervain is a liver cleanser and is sacred to Yemaya. Visualize toxins leaving the body, and Yemaya spiritually cleansing you with salt water. Cynara, an artichoke liqueur, is also liver cleansing. If you can't find it, eating an artichoke is the next best thing, but hold the butter and mayo! Milk thistle, dandelion, and angostura bitters also cleanse the liver and the digestive system.

The Cyprian Lays, Greek, eighth century b.c.e.

How does the goddess clothe herself?
Her handmaidens have woven her a cloak
from all the flowers of springtime:
larkspur and crocus, violets and rose,
narcissus sweet as honey, nectar lilies.
She needs no perfume, for her robes
are as fragrant as her very self.
When we inhale the springtime,
we are breathing in her beauty.
~The Cyprian Lays, Greek, eighth century b.c.e.
Springtime is, of all seasons, the one in which love blooms most freely. For many animals, it is a time of mating. Sparrows begin to fly about, courting with their small noises. Geese honk from the night sky, wheeling in to paddle together with their mates on small even lakes. Our pets disappear for nights out, ignoring our calls to stay home.
We are part of this world. energies rise within us, too. We may put these to creative use, or we may find new energies within relationships. Just as the new pussy willow draws our eye with its delightful shape and teases our fingers with its softness, we find our senses animated as well in our interactions with others. We laugh more readily, delighted at our common humanity. As spring approaches, we will fall more and more under her sensuous spell.

Get Ready for Ostara!
Day 5: The Magic of Spring
From Patti Wigington, your Guide to Paganism / Wicca
Ostara falls on the Spring equinox, and change is in the air! This time of year, the ongoing cycle of life, death and rebirth become more apparent than usual. As the Wheel of the Year turns once more, it's a good time to stop and recognize the magic that comes with the seasonal changes. Take a few moments to get back in touch with the earth and the environment around you. Plan your garden, dig in the dirt, and embrace the new life growing around us.
Magical Spring Flowers
As spring arrives, our gardens begin to bud and eventually bloom. For hundreds of years, the plants that we grow have been used in magic. Flowers in particular are often connected with a variety of magical uses. Now that spring is here, keep an eye out for some of these flowers around you, and consider the different magical applications they might have. Keep these in mind when you're planning your garden! Read About Spring Flower Magic
Magical Herbalism
Herbs have been used in magic for thousands of years. They've long been associated with healing, protection, love and other magical purposes. When you're planning your herb garden this spring, keep some of their magical properties in mind. Read About Magical Herbs
Plant a Magical Moon Garden
Many Wiccans and Pagans love to garden, but a lot of people don't realize you can grow plants and flowers that bloom at night. Cultivating a moon garden is a great way to get in touch with nature, and it provides a beautiful and fragrant backdrop for your moonlight rituals in the summer. If you plant these lovelies close to your house, you can open the windows and take advantage of their aromas as you sleep. Read About the Magical Moon Garden
Make a Mini Greenhouse at Ostara
Give your spring planting a head start by making this simple miniature greenhouse. By starting your seedlings in advance, they'll be ready to put in the soil when it's warmed up around Beltane. You can make this out of a few household supplies, place it in a sunny spot, and watch new life begin in just a few days! Learn How to Make a Mini Greenhouse
Tomorrow: Crafts and Creations
Spring is a time when many people like to get crafty -- and why not? After all, making things with your hands is a great way to reconnect with the Sabbat season. Tomorrow, we'll talk about making seed packet greeting cards to share, an Ostara tree, and how to color Ostara eggs using natural dyes!
